Fallout V23: "I got another thread that needs your help."

So, it looks like taking on Darion in my current state is inadvisable. I've got the CAWS, Sniper Rifle, and the light powered pistol, and I have Lenny and Dogmeat. I'm wearing the leather armor. That doesn't help much when there are 20 people attacking you, all better equipped in some ways. I could use a minigun, but I have no HW or Energy skill. Should I come back later? I know where Vault 13 is from the first game, so I guess I could go there and see what's up.
Apparently there was a scrapped alternate BoS ending that has you challenge Maxson to combat and take his place as Elder and also [sp]keep Danse in the BoS[/sp]

BoS spoiler.

The scrapped BOS stuff may still end up in the full game as DLC, like what both Fallout 3 and NV did for some of the story elements.
Oh god yes please let this be the plot of fallout 4: fucking ruined steel
So I've been messing around with settlements and they got pretty much all they need to survive but their happiness keeps declining, any idea what I am missing ?
[t] https://i.imgur.com/7E7ZO0v.jpg [/t]
More than enough food, water, beds, electricity and beds and yet their happiness is slowly declining. I am using a few mods like settlements expanded but that only adds stuff.
Defense needs to be water+food, so you need 46 defense in that settlement
Power does not factor with happiness, defense does
But aside from that your happiness will cap at around 75-80 until you build some stores. Happiness might still have the red arrow like it's decreasing from time to time but it's not really decreasing

Fallout 4 : Oh shit it's broken for good this time
Fallout 4: Working steel
Watching a fight between Codsworth and another mr handy is like watching gentlemen fencing :v:
In all seriousness I wouldn't mind a DLC that lets you throw a little reform in each of the factions, with varying degrees of violence.
For instance :
[sp]Using your knowledge of how the army functioned before the war to turn the Minutemen into a proper, well organized militia - maybe even fuck over the Gunners by stealing their supplies and use it for the minutemen
Fucking over Maxson to take over as Elder and either push the BOS for more control or go back to Lyons' former lenience
Reforming the Institute and the synth program, to either remove all protesters or give them reason
Getting rid of this annoying shithead Desdemona and taking over the Railroad[/sp]
With all the robot parts you end up finding, it would be cool if you could build stuff like protectrons, sentry bots and mister handys to protect and serve your settlements.
Protectrons would be programmable as well, so you can set up a couple construction ones to repair things automatically, set up a medical one to heal settlers injured in invasions, or simply have one act as a robot butler to improve happiness.

You know, if Fallout natively kept this kind of camera as another option to the third person camera, I might have actually used it.
It's got that original Fallout feel with looking great.

Making Mister Handy's like the greygarden ones would be a benefit. Have a robot labor force pick food while the settlers scrap or work as traders.

Fallout 4: Broken OC do not Steel
My current character, went for a combat engineer look.

Lol how do you figure that? Looks like a dude wearing the one-piece brotherhood fatigues
Saw General J's Hancock recolors, not gonna lie those could be done better. What bugs me the most is that you just did a straight recolor(even over the torn clothing bits) and they are so brightly colored. I prefer more natural looking stuff so I ended up making some of my own as a test to see what I could do in FO4. I've even got a .PSD set up so I can change colors around easily.
Very nice!
I knew I wasn't very good at it getting into it, but wanted to do something since there weren't many options as-is. Glad someone who actually knows what they're doing came in!
Very funny how two "boss fights" [sp]Kellogg and Courser comes down to stealth boy spamming and firing randomly to hopefully hit them [/sp]
It happened even when there was nothing, that is why I dedicated it to be shopping area so it would do remoterly even some sense.
Settlers seem to have a dedicated standing place that they go to when there's no bar.
In the drive-in my settlers would always stand near the pool of water after 9pm.
Having a weird issue. When the game launches, it unticks all the mod ESP's I have.
I double checked the ini edits to enable mods but the changes are still there.

The newest patch has fucked with mods a tad but workarounds exist.
Curie's the best but does anyone else feel like her Perk doesn't work at all?
Oops, sorry. Was mostly skimming through the thread.
So can I not max out Danse if I don't ally with the Brotherhood? I did it on my other character but I want to ally with the Railroad this time but also get every companion perk.
In short when you have to build the teleportation thingy, who you choose gives you access to more quests with that faction. If I don't choose the brotherhood I lose building a certain weapon which means it won't lead to the next portion of the quest. But if I do choose them I lose out on pretty much the entire Railroad quests and can no longer continue with them.

No you can max him out, He just has to survive his personal quest Blind Betrayal.
Why couldn't I fight [sp]Liberty Prime[/sp] as a boss? :/

Work with the brotherhood until after the quest Blind Betrayal. It doesn't matter who you pick to build the teleporter. The other factions just say "you should have built it with us" and give you the next mission for them.

I guess the problem with it would be that you couldn't hide stuff within anything else (from a top-down perspective) or else you wouldn't be able to pick it up. I would totally play a '2.5D'-style isometric modern Fallout game though.

alt to highlight items, and maybe make it based on perception to show items hidden inside stuff and etcetera
there you go
(I'm sure this has been asked before, but I haven't wanted to check these threads before I completed at least the main quest and quite a few of the side quests, which leaves me about 3 threads behind)
[sp]Well I've just completed the main quest in the Institute's favour and I've got to ask, is their any more I can do for them apart from the randomly generated 'go here do X' quests?
I feel like there should be more than this, the option to change where the Institute is going maybe, or possibly find out what all of that Phase 3 stuff was leading too, because as far as I can see after Shaun died the game just hit a brick wall.

No every single faction is like this a sudden end with no consequences or the ability to actually continue in any meaningful way, End game content sucks cock.

Edit: Well, there's always modding I suppose :(

The game tells you when you get faction X or Y hostile so nothing won't happen out of thin air.
