Is there way to "lock" items via console? It is really tedious when you hit take all and you have to give hats/weapons back to your companions afterwards.
This is how I feel about using the endless cap vendor too. Just use player.additem 000000f 10000000 if you want money
Well.. there isn't much use for caps except buying overly priced drinks/food/clothes etc in the world or wherever, haven't felt the urge to give myself some caps at all. However the urge to give myself a one particular legendary effect-combination was too great, so I used the console. (This is why Codsworth is, well, the best companon. At least for scavenging hunts if u want.)
If you really want it, use the console. Also, about PA paints, apparently the Explosive Shielding, Titanium Plating, Lead Plating and Prism Shielding all look the same. And the "No Material Mod" turns into that same color too, if you upgrade the Model of the Power Armor piece. Otherwise it's the rusty color.. Kinda dumb system tbh.
Those aren't paints though. Paints are things like the military pattern, winter, and BoS patterns
So does FO4 take place in some alternate universe where Mesotheloima and Abestosis don't exist? Because lining your armor with asbestos to make it fireproof seems like a really bad idea.
This is a world where radiation is pretty much magic. Asbestos probably cures cancer in the Fallout universe for all we know.
I'd love it if someone found some way to make this playable, and maybe added in a turn based system like in the classics. Hell, even if it was turned into an ARPG like diablo or grim dawn it would still be fun. Though I doubt this would be possible even with the CK.
Would be an absolute mess to navigate indoors and pretty much anywhere but on a flat surface.
Would be an absolute mess to navigate indoors and pretty much anywhere but on a flat surface.
Can't really comment on flat surfaces, but indoors wouldn't be an issue, just have any walls/roofs inbetween the character and the camera not drawn for a certain distance around the player. Come to thing of it, I'm pretty sure that's usually how most isometric games deal with indoors, isn't it?

Well, no roof when you enter a building, and the walls are see through for an area around you.
Little late, but this is related to the post someone put with Codsworth leaving. Things like this are where the VA budget went. All companions except Dogmeat have this.

Pity these awesome emotion filled lines will never really be put to good use, I never want to piss Nick off, or any of my companions really.
just fugged for the first time on my playthrough, [sp]and it was the awesome jazz singer too. it was hilarious to open the door of the hotel room and see curie just planted there though. i felt bad, but it was just for the xp bonus, honey![/sp]
I think everyone slept with Wonderwoman the first time they went to Good Neighbour.

man my playtime for fallout 4 on steam looks so bad cus I'm lazy and I'll open the game launcher and then just go and do other stuff I've got like 100 hours logged but not even half that spent actually playing
I want a mod that makes the resurrect console comand work as it should, or as it did in the other games. I want the brave robots who defended the USS constitution with their lives back :frown:

Can someone give me a straight confirmed list of worst-to-best when it comes to weapon mod quality? I'm kinda confused Is Superior better than Better, is Better better than Improved? etc. [editline]8th December 2015[/editline] Superior vs. Exceptional, etc. [editline]8th December 2015[/editline] Spent the last 30 mins going through my mega weapon stash. Things you should give another chance: The Syringer Pipe Weapons
Holy shit, I just realised I've been calling them Boatflies since Fallout 3 came out in 2008... I never noticed it was Bloatfly, that makes so much more sense!!

I've only seen Worse on automatic barrels I think, so I don't know if that is the right place for it. Improved and Better seem to be inconsistent with which one is actually the better one too, so I'm not sure. Superior and Exceptional should be correct, though. Also, on a completely unrelated subject, I was looking through the game's keywords, and it seems that the Pipe Guns and probably the Combat Shotgun/Rifle were originally going to be single items rather than being split up, and the firing type changed depending on the receiver. There's receiver keywords for a Revolver, Shotgun and Single Shot, along with all the other keywords that exist ingame currently. Revolver and Single Shot obviously refer to the Pipe Revolver and Pipe Bolt-Action, and there's a Pipe Shotgun receiver model left in the files too. The Combat Rifle probably would have used the Single Shot one too. I suspect that they probably cut these because of limitations with the modding system, but it equally could have just been to inflate the weapon count. Maybe modders will be able to set it up so that the different types are mods instead of separate weapons, once we get the official mod tools and proper F4SE scripting.

Found a legendary Gauss rifle after killing a leg radscorpion Now to find ammo for the fucking thing
Yeah but isometric games don't load indoors with several floors on top of one another within the same level, it loads a completely different screen when you go upstairs or downstairs usually.
No, there's quite a few games that have it all in one map. Usually they just have a button for switching what floor you're currently looking at, and everything above that floor gets ghosted, similarly to The Sims. I'm not really sure if that would work for FO4 though, since it wasn't built up with a system like this in mind, the floors in various houses are bound to be at all manner of different heights. And I don't know if Bethbryo can even dynamically hide and unhide large amount of geography, much less doing it quickly.
I haven't tried, but if those weapons are inter-changeable for parts within the engine, then you could perhaps use that customization glitch that was posted, and see if the models line-up / look correct?
The Pipe Pistol/Revolve/Bolt-Action all use a lot of the same models, actually. The stocks are all the same models, and I believe that the barrels, scopes and muzzle mods are the same models too. Obviously the magazine mods only apply to the Pipe Pistol, and all the receivers are different models, though. The Syringer is classed as a Pipe weapon too, though I think only the stocks for that are shared with the rest of the weapons. A lot of the models it uses for mods are incredibly similar, though. I believe that the Combat Shotgun/Rifle use a lot of the same models as well, though there's more of a variety of mods between the two, plus there are other weapons that use the models as well, I believe. So from a model standpoint, yeah, they all work interchangably. It's only really the receivers and magazines (and the barrels with the Combat Shotgun/Rifle) that are different between each version.

People actually like Curie ? I can't get past her horrible accent.
Found a legendary Gauss rifle after killing a leg radscorpion Now to find ammo for the fucking thing
best way to find the ammo is to buy it. unfortunately the same can be said about .44, gamma, cannonballs, and half of the ammo in the game.
-snip-
Take it from me, there are few things worse than hearing your accent done badly *flashes back to Dead Island*

Wow so much for choice, ghoul at the slog wants to bang but all I get are 3 identical choices that are all "no" There is literally no reason why I shouldn't be able to choose yes, you can even do it in NV
