So this guy was at the Parsons State Insane Asylum. I didn't even use the resurrect command on him.
Fucking spooky.
This place is so broken what the hell :v:
there's a lot of lovecraft stuff in fallout 4
So, does anyone know if power armor nullifies the chance of getting the [sp]mole rat disease[/sp] from 81?
No idea, but if you don't want to get the disease here's how: Don't take a companion with you, when they get hit it infects you. Why? Only Bethesda knows. After I figured this out all it took was a couple tries to get through the quest disease free.
It also helps a lot if you have a weapon that can one-shot the mole rats.
apparently there's an option to [sp]share the disease vaccine with the kid and yourself, but i have no idea if it causes him to die or anything. the mole rat disease doesn't even really affect the player, i didn't realize i had it until long after i did the quest.[/sp]
Hey, so cunt nexus removed my mod again for copyright :goodjob:
But hey! I guess all those My Little Pony mods got permission from Hasbro to use their likeness as well.
Here's the link for anyone that wanted Metal Gear Solid "You're Pretty Good" crit noises. Pack contains 4.

If you messed up you can always [sp]during the dialogue use the vaccine and then give it to them.[/sp].
It just works.

Apparently it's possible

yeah I'm still pissed about this. It's so un-intuitive to achieve this ending.
Pretty much you're telling me that I was supposed to [sp]go on a killing rampage inside the Institute to get banished[/sp] the whole time.

Aka normal minutemen ending.
just figured out why I've been having so much trouble with weight management lately
I was carrying 225 pounds of purified water
I always keep my inventory at around 130/380, and after a scavenging hunt, or out questing and looting shit, I'll bring the number back down to around that... obsessively so, if I don't then I feel like my inventory is being bloated.
All those 0.1 things add up, like drugs (which I don't use, only sell those that I do loot) so I keep a really good care of my inventory, or so I like to think.
Also all those requirements on that video are bullshit, only requirement is don't [sp]simply said do any missions that makes faction X or Y your enemy you dummy and then punch Shaun in the dick when there is no other quests left.[/sp]
Aka normal minutemen ending.
Really? I thought [sp]for the minutemen ending you always had to kill the BoS[/sp]
Really? I thought [sp]for the minutemen ending you always had to kill the BoS[/sp]
That is optional thing that can be done even after completing main story.
The power armor jetpack drains fusion core power and AP? You can burn an entire core in like five good jumps. It's like bethsoft doesn't want me to have fun

Probably late, but [sp] you give the doctor the vaccine then immediately stop talking to him and open your pipboy and use it on yourself.[/sp]

I was having trouble with my inventory always being full, then I stopped carrying around all my favorite guns I don't use.
gotta say, considering how every faction is really dickish and extremist the institute doesn't seem THAT bad
[sp]The Minuteman ending do what they do out of "Self defense" and before that point they are quite neutral with them.[/sp]
I'm most disappointed about the lack of change after the ending. And the on-rails experience with the story.
[editline]10th December 2015[/editline]
It's just interchangeable [sp]Wow, the Institute is REALLY gone! Too bad there's still work to do. And then some guards and the radio says gj, and then you see your faction at checkpoints.[/sp]
Like- The Institute was never a threat outside of exposition begin with.
[editline]10th December 2015[/editline]
They also never properly explained just how The Institute was [sp]"The last, best hope for humanity."[/sp]

Anyone else feel as though the Minutemen wanting to destroy the Institute came out of nowhere?
Like they exist perfectly fine with the Institute if you pick the institute as your faction of choice, it honestly just felt like destruction for destruction's sake because apparently they needed to top off the Minutemen with a big bad.
Like it would have been pretty awesome if it was an optional thing, sort of like how you can destroy the BoS or Railroad if you really feel like it.
But I dunno, it just seems so out of place, when they weren't even really enemies.

and the Institute is just [sp] Yup we are here. Go along with your business. We will just stay down here and send some gen 1 synths to walk around Diamond City.[/sp]
Anyone else feel as though the Minutemen wanting to destroy the Institute came out of nowhere?
Well they [sp]attack the castle and you manage to defend it[/sp] and after that who says it won't happen again and with bigger force? It is act now while you still can.

I dunno, completely wanting to destroy them on that scale for a small attack force, like you wouldn't do that with Super Mutants or Raiders, so why the institute?
Seems kind of forced, like Bethesda couldn't really think of anything for why the Minutemen would have a reason to really do anything against anyone else, so they just said "fuck it, Synths attack the castle"
It seems really out of focus for both the Minutemen AND the Institute, especially when it's proven by the Institute ending that they really don't think of the Minutemen as a threat, despite the fact you can still build them up to the levels you would in a Minuteman faction playthrough.

I tried that, he called me selfish and said half a dose won't be enough anyway

imo the minutemens ending condition shouldn't have required any epic explosion-filled final quest where you infiltrate the bad guys and blow them up for cool points
minutemen's ending should have been tied to your settlements in some way and probably involved more diplomacy between all the factions
and if bethseda really had a hard on for incorporating violence into the last quest it could've have easily of been some sort of defend-all-your-settlements juggernaut quest that didn't involve murdering anyone, just, yknow, defending the people.
Power Armor does not prevent you from getting the [sp]Mole Rat Disease,[/sp] however, a Napalmer does a good job of doing so :v:

cryolator worked for me
I tried that, he called me selfish and said half a dose won't be enough anyway
I just went through the Mole Rat Vault part very carefully, no Virus ridden Mole rats touched me and I could save the boy without having to lose -10hp forever.
Or you could just glitch that quest by doing this, or cheat the vaccine in because it's bullshit you can't just half and half the dose.

yeah i tried it too and i laughed at the screen when that was the response
why the fuck even include the option bethseda
oh yeah you guys need four responses for literally every option because lol dialogue wheel

The only reason they fight is because [sp]the player started it.[/sp] The attack on the castle is just retaliation.
The cure for the disease is simple, simply apply 100 doses of jet before you think you may contract it.
Or just abuse the fuck out of quicksaves and normal saves after every encounter with a molerat like I did just to be sure.
