You're so sure that valve has no legitimate reasons. How best to support indie games than to grant access to titles winning popular contests? This one title that some people did like and vote for, doesn't somehow block other titles from steam. Several new titles appear on steam every day, and yet you just bitch because it isn't the title [i]you[/i] wanted.

Ugh, every time I see FF13 in my inventory I'm reminded I want to play it but 60GBs man. That's just too much. It would take me like 2 days to download that shit. Is there any wizard Steam-esqe way of shortening downloads like this? What I mean by that is I heard it's such a big download due to having, like, two copies of every cutscene for the different languages, but I know I'm not going to even use any of the others that aren't English.... bleh.

Probably won't make much difference though.

On the steam page it's listed as requiring 60GBs of free space on your hard drive. It's a 49GB download. That's not too much better. :v:

Hello! I'm not entirely sure if I'm posting on the right thread, but this is the most appropriate one I could find. I need help with a Steam chat issue. Basically everytime a certain friend of mine sends me a link on chat, it gets replaced with the text {LINK REMOVED}. However, I can send him any links without a problem. I have also been friends with him for roughly two years and have never blocked him or anything like that. This problem first occurred a couple of days ago while I was playing tf2 and he was just online. He sent me some perfectly normal link during that and it was removed. This is odd because he had linked me things before that and they worked normally. Does anyone have any idea what's causing this? I can provide additional information if needed. I would greatly appreciate your help.

For some reason random mods keep showing up in my "recent" tab even though I have not played them. First it was "Dangerous World", a HL2 mod. Now Black Mesa, Dangerous World, and Hidden are all on the "recent" tab even though I have not touched them. What could be causing this to happen? [img]http://puu.sh/ghfsU.png[/img]

Rot Life for me. Random ones that happen to be installed seem to do it. Have you ran the game it's a mod of, by chance? I run HL1 (which rotlife is a mod of) regularly so I can stream my desktop.

Are they still filtering links at random? I haven't noticed any filtering at all, and neither have people I've chatted with.

I'm glad that shit is over, it was annoying because I kept forgetting my links were blocked and would send someone a link and proceed to talk about it while they're confused as hell.
