I tried those two, but its still stuck in offline mode.
see if you can get into steam through webchat, if that works then there's a problem with your steam install.
delete everything except steam.exe, steamapps, and the skins folder if you use a skin, then run steam again.

So basically like the PS4 feature?[/QUOTE] I don't think content streaming is a Steam feature, I think they're using the API that allows a game to trigger the installation of a DLC, which if you squint can be used to implement content streaming, but I wouldn't really say it's a good idea. And clearly they've made a pig's ear of implementing it.

Streaming can work if it's done properly, but I haven't ever seen it work properly on Steam. The way MKX does is a very hacky (thats not how DLCs are supposed to be used) way.
Hope Valve notices and makes a feature of it. I'd like to see something akin to Halo 2's Tray and Play, but for Steam.

launching steam with -tcp fixed it for me.
but the support page loads now so im not sure if -tcp actually fixed it
I just got the new Mobile Steam update and it's really not that good. I hope it's just a bridge to cooler updates.

Playing around with the "update" myself.
This has got to be the worst android app update I have ever seen, they just shoved the steam guard functionality (if it's even there, it's just a setting to either have email steam guard or not), added a horrible icon for steam guard and updated the app icon to something not even resembling android design standards.
Plus crashing on load (more than usual anyway), 50% chance of going to the introduction on launch (sometimes goes to the steam guard intro, sometimes not).
Also you can't back out of the introduction properly, where 1 of the back button should take you to previous screen or close the app. Instead, it just infinite reopens the intro. If you press it enough/fast enough it goes to a black screen, which then lets you exit. Or sometimes goes to the friends list when it feels like it.
And I haven't even been picked for the beta, so I can't comment on how the authenticator works.
I'm sure this will be torn apart by someone, but I felt like being angry at something.

Haha, every time I try and exit the steam app it just restarts itself. The only way I got it to finally close was by deliberately crashing it.
How did I crash it? I simply pressed the steam icon when it was already open. Guaranteed crash.

Funny thing was I knew the app would crash because it was slightly misbehaving
I just submit the report because I know that they would be able to find what's wrong
