Valve's recent scam of a TF2 update required me to finally vent. Anyone else feel the same?

I wish I could rate you winner more than once. Fucking finally someone says what's been needing to be said.
Just a few things from me:
- It's not like we haven't gotten anything from HL3 ever. Various mentions in curriculum vitaes of ex-devs, here and there a little bit of that. Also they have been working on Source 2 since 2010 and it's almost finished so obviously they will roll out a big game with it someday. Otherwise they would have just sticked to Source 1 if they didn't want to develop any new games.
- The microtransactions were the best thing that happened to CSGO. It was near bombing before they added the skins, with less and less players each day (<15.000) and now it's one of the most played games on Steam. Dota 2 also only works with microtransactions. Dota 2 and CSGO show it should be done. I agree with the TF2 and paid mod stuff though.
- SteamVR is not some overpriced unnecessary shit because the previews show that it really is promising and just like Oculus Rift will lead to a new branch of game experiences.

Oh fuck off, the skins might as well just be on the side of the update since they're so minor compared to the fucktons of rebalances and gameplay changes made.

I agree, but Valve made them the focus of the update. The 'meat' isn't the new maps or the tons of updates, or even the contracts, but the weapon skins themselves.

The Paradox Interactive forums have ratings as well.
They both use the forum software called 'XenForo'. I guess ratings come with it.
IIRC FP isn't the first forum to have ratings.
FP was copying another site when they added them, I don't remember what.

Not sure where to go with this.
I've recently reinstalled windows and while at it changed some partitions around.
I have steam and all its games installed on a specific partition, and when I reinstalled it I think the partition letter changed from E to F.
It complained too much, so I just reinstalled and moved steamapps. However, now it thinks it has the files on the wrong partition.

Would I go with this to steam support, the Help & Support part of this forum, this thread itself..?

Have you browsed where it thinks they are or verifying the integrity?

I have verified integrity (244 files failed and will be reaquired), but when it downloads them it tries to install them on that wrong drive, so it fails.
Also it's impossible it will ever install anything on E: because it's BitLocked and I only unlock it once in a full blue moon.

I'd switch the partition labels and see what happens, but reinstalling steam gets boring.

Open one of the AppManifest_whatever.acf files in SteamApps and you'll notice a line along the lines of
[code]"InstallDir" "d:\\steam\\steamapps\\common\\noitu love 2 devolution"[/code]
I used Notepad++ to find and replace all instances of the wrong drive number across all the .acf files to the right one, and that fixed things up.

I'm getting sick of this shit. Does anyone else stop receiving Steam Trade Confirmation e-mails for no bloody reason? I get this every day at absolutely random times and I just do not want to disable them since I'm paranoid. It pisses me off to no end. No reply from Steam Support and I end up having to force and disappoint my clients by telling them to wait for an unknown time until Steam decides to work properly again.

Why be paranoid? Trade scambots are all but dead because everyone has it. So I turned it off.

I've heard horror stories of people losing inventories due to javascript hijacks or something along those lines.
I love the safe option being a huge 'fuck you' by Valve. Strangely, only some people have it on my friends' list - but we have it at completely random times and together.
