Check logs/bootstrap.txt for errors then I would suggest

Everything sort of checks out.
Although perhaps as I only notice shutdown being logged only once or twice. If I had access to mine for reference, as I can't remember if it's logged when the client is shutdown or w/e
But the files do check out, you may need to jump into Windows event viewer to see if the program is crashing. If it is you're in luck

It seem to resolve itself after restarting the computer for the 5th time. I guess it is 5th's time the charm.

Yeah because Valve applied to the court to vacate the dates for the hearing, as they were not ready to proceed. New dates have not yet been set.
Can anyone give me a totally unmodded Steam.dll? pls no built-in VAC-detected shit. Is that legal? I can't run Steam without it and I've tried reinstalling like six times now
When I delete everything --> launch steam.exe, a 'steam' folder isnt even created
If you've reinstalled and deleted the previous steam.dll, it should generate a completely fresh one.

If restarting doesn't work, [url=snip]this[/url] is the one I have in my base Steam folder, should work. I've been running the same one for I think as long as I've been on this computer. And I currently have Steam running, so.
It's strange that you're getting this issue, have you tried checking Steam's support database?

That's weird. I dunno. Try moving your steamapps folder out and trying again, if it's actually got all your games in it? It'll take a while to move around, but that's the only thing I can think

I just copied the entirety of my dad's installation but steamapps and it worked, problem solved for now. I also had a trojan I think but i don't think that was part of it
it is a mystery

doubt it; I don't know what the trojan was from, what it was affecting, or how long I've had it. I haven't installed any warez in months so I haven't a clue
It also could have been a false positive; I never run any AV or Firewall but I have MBAM lifetime premium downloaded as a backup

I had just updated a guide on how to reinstall Steam, as I had some issues myself.
