:ok:
Dota 2 technically Public released @ 2013.
CSGO @ 2012
Portal 2 aka "The latest Valve game not designed for $2.49 uncrating keys" @ 2011
So 2-4 years respectively.
if you tell us what game it is they might want to buy it. Is it the spare "Space Farmers" you have from the 2-pack?
good luck
yep, someone gave it to me...
Portal 2 update
We have updated the public release of Portal 2. This update adds native Steam Controller integration to the game. When using a Steam Controller, you can now rebind game actions from the standard controller configuration screen in the Steam Overlay; in-game on-screen button prompts will automatically update accordingly. In-home Streaming update
We have made dramatic changes to the streaming network code that should improve the experience on wireless networks. Please try these out by opting into the beta version of the Steam Client on all computers:

Valve also started to put up support pages for the controller: https://support.steampowered.com/kb_cat.php?id=107
Looks like these two have received their controllers

package looks really slick
My tracking is either broken or they haven't shipped it yet. Stuck on label created for 4 days. Estimated delivery is today so here's hoping.
Comeon GAME, step your game up getting me my game controller so I can play some games!
And now some are saying Gamestop and EB has pushed their orders back a month? That would be shitty!
can the steam controller be gifted?
i'm feeling generous

I believe it will let you enter any shipping address you want.
well that's a bit limiting
well that's a bit limiting
Well I mean if someone were to conveniently ask me for my shipping address and I'd conveniently give it to them, someone cooouuuld buy me one.
[sp]Don't buy me one, I have the money, I just have different spending priorities[/sp]
I'm debating between buying a cheap Xbox 360 controller or a Steam controller. On one hand, Xbox controllers go for like, 30$ but the Steam controller might just be something new versus what I'm used to. The only reason I want another controller is cause I bring friends over pretty often and when it comes to split screen games on the PC, only one controller versus a keyboard doesn't feel so great.

Hmm, can it be sent to Australia?

Every time I search for it I keep thinking that it's now avaliable

No it can't. I'm using a freight forwarder to get it sent to Australia.

From the reviews and details I have seen on the Steam Controller, the key things it appears to bring over an Xbox controller are:
- Highly flexible trackpads that can emulate a range of different input devices.
- Emulation of key presses / mouse movement (works with any game)
- More buttons (due to rear triggers)
- Tight integration with Steam making it easy to mess with bindings in game and load bindings directly from the community rather than having to fiddle around.
Of course, with third party tools you can (to my understanding) emulate keyboard/mouse with a Xbox controller, and maybe the rest of the stuff doesn't matter if you, in which case an Xbox controller might serve your needs.
For me personally, I view the Steam Controller as a controller targeted at the PC audience that seems to understand the needs of the PC audience and has addressed them quite well.
If you're on the edge though, it might be worth waiting till the general public has their hands on it.
I'm having an issue on all Steam games where the mouse and keyboard are almost totally unresponsive. For example, trying to select weapons or shoot or even look around in TF2 and I can rarely get it to work. I tried switching my mouse to a wireless one but that didn't solve the problem and it seems to be across all my games, so I have no idea what's causing the problem.
I even went so far as turning my computer off & on again and restarting Steam but the problem persists. Anyone else getting this?

Outside of games however everything is fine. Like, I can type this without a problem, but typing a message in game was a fuckin nightmare because the backspace button & some keys just would not work
marc better reply to my email on monday or i will cry
I really need to try the controller before I get it. I've heard nothing but good things about it, but since the track pads (to me anyway) are pretty different from typical sticks I'd really need to try and out to see if I like it or not.
I wonder when we'll see a game designed to be steam controller only.
Something with some weird control mechanic that kb&m or standard twinstick couldn't do.

I don't think Steam controller allows such a thing to happen.
It can pretend to be a mouse and keyboard.
It can pretend to be Xbox 360 controller.
It can't pretend to be itself.
Besides, there is a limit to what you can do with the controller. You can't operate both touchpads, the thumbstick and the buttons at once with only two thumbs. You've got to pick two.
The only control scheme that would be able to take advantage of steam controller's design would be one where two mouse inputs are possible. Even then, you can just plug two mice into your computer.
Also, there is a reason why we use mouse+keyboard rather than two mice. You can't really effectively use two mice at once for doing things, where you can easily use keyboard with mouse to assist yourself. RTS games make great use of that design.
Steam controller seems new and weird but really it doesn't bring anything new to the table. It's only goal is to actually emulate old and tried ways, not to carve it's own path.

What are you on about? The Steam controller has a native api as part of steamworks and can be used to get the direct input of either trackpad.
Just got my email stating my Steam Link + Controller Shipped
Estimated Delivery is Wednesday!
I guess SEK won't come because we're in the EU?
Yep.
[editline]13th October 2015[/editline]
And if it even came it wouldn't affect prices really, I mean there are laws that pretty much say stuff should cost equally same price to everyone in EU right? Dunno how can Steam pull the EU1 and EU2 thing though.
This whole Stealth Game Sale is a really nice idea, but would someone care to explain to me why the hell is METAL GEAR RISING: REVENGEANCE on sale too?
(And the Assassin's Creed games, for that matter)

Well you can stealth in both of them so I guess that makes them eligible.
