:v:
Fun fact, this actually exposed an XSS issue in SteamDB itself. :v: Thanks Steam developer that added that.
List got taken down. Here's a mirror: http://pastebin.com/WtZU1zzH
Why is Project M on that list? https://steamdb.info/app/396340/subs/
Probably some indie dev's troll codename for their game. The "Half Life 3" entry might be the same thing.
Probably is. Aren't all Valve games pretty much under 1,000 for AppID?
https://help.steampowered.com/#HelpWithGameIssue/?packageid=66300&issueid=103 This is intresting [editline]6th December 2015[/editline] Just so you know it's not steamdb trolling
411770 = FIREFIGHT RELOADED - Counter-Strike: Source Asset Pack 411771 = FIREFIGHT RELOADED - Day of Defeat: Source Asset Pack
well that leak is definitely real :v: [sp]I'm the publisher for that mod, and those were some test/idea depots[/sp]
75298 Bad Rats Show
Holy shit, I'm so fucking hyped for this game. Who needs HL3 when you got a new Bad Rats game? Wooah!
from the other thread
Wrote up a quick blog post about this explaining where the names came from etc. https://steamdb.info/blog/recent-package-name-additions/
Why does my server favourites sometimes reset? It's frustrating and has happened twice this week, when usually it's so rare I'm not that bothered
Why is Project M on that list? https://steamdb.info/app/396340/subs/
The codename for DS/3DS game "Moon" or "Moon: Chronicles" was "Project M" and they also developed Dementium and Dementium II, the latter of which was ported to PC. It also doesn't make sense that Project M would get ported to PC after the project was abandoned because of legal concerns. [sp]Side note: People need to stop spreading around the false rumor that Nintendo hit PMDev with a C&D, their lawyer said that wasn't the case and he has no reason to lie.[/sp]
Picked up Alien Swarm again, I really wish Valve had done more with it, and I hope to see it possibly be picked up down the line as a full game. I think it'd be a really cool sci-fi L4D type game if they made it an FPS. Nothing wrong with the top down style though either. I think it has a lot of potential but was pushed off to the side.

Is sad that is also has the most advanced code available to the modders, and since is outdated, is of not use.
if they made it an FPS.
At that point it wouldn't be Alien Swarm anymore.
At that point it wouldn't be Alien Swarm anymore.
Though, there is an FPS version being worked on for the past few years now on Greenlight.
At that point it wouldn't be Alien Swarm anymore.
Technically not I guess, but I think the feeling of creepy infested colony and being swarmed by aliens would get conveyed better as an from the first person. Look to your left, fuck ton of aliens, look to your right, fuck ton more aliens. It's not quite the same when you have the god perspective. Though yeah I know that'd break the form of the old UT mod. My main point though was that it's a bummer it was a hit it and quit it type of deal, I would honestly take a full AS game over all the stuff Valve is trying to do.

Because that seems to be the pattern as of late.
All what it would need to be revived and made stable would be new campaign some of sort for reviving and then Workshop to keeping alive.
I always assumed Alien Swarm was made for people to practice modding and not actually as a proper game. At least it looks that way.
You know Valve deliberately "hates" this game when even HL:S got updated to Steampipe and not ASW.
They don't "hate" AS. It's just that it was never considered along the lines of L4D and Portal. The reason is that it was just a side-project 3 or 4 devs worked on in their free time. Valve kinda liked it so they gave them time to make it with Valve's resources with a few other devs, so they can release it and be done with it. It was nothing more than a small side project which is also why it was released for free. I think it even started as some mod or game along the Alien Breed games on a different engine.

I believe those devs were hired onto Valve and they got to "redo" it.
vive was delayed to april 2016. better be worth it.

Anyone have this problem when you try to limit download speeds in steam: It'll download at the specified speed for about a minute then just completely stop for a while. It does this over and over, but not when I don't throttle the downloads.

That could be a good explanation why it doesn't do it when you throttle it.
