Hmm, I am familiar on how steam guard works in intel processors and things for security, but this got me thinking. I'm reinstalling shit onto my brother's computer, to save bandwidth, I just copied my own installation (minus app/user data and appcache). Upon starting the program, it signed me in automatically, bypassing any authorisation. I have logged into the computer before, and it was authorised for my games, but this was the fact until we formatted it about three hours ago. So it's the same processor, are these things maintained in a mothership? I don't even know Maybe someone could else explain it

So if you copied that, it shouldn't ask for authorization.

my steam link'd 50 inch tv is too far away from my couch, I can't read text on the screen when I render games such as civ v at 1080p :( oh well, at least I can stream MPC-HC and ad free youtube to my tv

i tried to use the steam controller for writing code worked surprisingly well until i realized that valve decided having multiple |'s and /'s was better than throwing a ; somewhere on the virtual keyboard

The one disadvantage I can see of those controllers is that the old one had a very definite tip, which people could use for measuring things in physical space by touching the tip against them. Harder to do that with a circular end.

Anyone know if there's any information regarding the possibility of Steam no longer doing 4-packs for new games? I've been watching out for one for Helldivers, and I did a search a few times a little time back and found another developer telling people that they wanted 4-pack featured for their game but couldn't, and that was hurting their revenue or something of the sort.

I think the devs choose that option, I've seen some recently. It might be a special case.

Of course it hurts revenue considering the fact you buy 4 copies in a bundle cheaper than 4 individual copies.

You can't refund the games individually in a four pack, so if someone wanted a refund, all four copies would have to be refunded.
