Which kinda makes me wish that there was an option to absorb a boss monster soul at some point. If you killed Toriel or Asgore, rather than sit there dumbfounded and let it die like in earlier runs, perhaps you'd be able to move your soul over theirs in the moments after their death, and absorb it before it dissipates. After all, it's mentioned as a possibility in the game, even if you can't actually do that the last time I checked, so it'd make sense as an "alternate path" of sorts. I do feel like it'd be a possibility that's very much worth exploring, even if it ends with [sp]Asriel[/sp] conflictedly hating you despite what you did for him. Like, you'd convince Flowey to accept the boss soul, or perhaps force it upon him if need be, and when he regains his true self as [sp]Asriel[/sp], he doesn't know whether to hug you or scream at you for what you've done. Though there would undoubtedly be crying. And I would be able to accept that, if it gave him a second chance. In a twisted way, it'd probably be what his parents would have wanted for him. Besides, even if [sp]he could be brought back without sacrificing one of his parents (definitely grim), when he's "back to normal" his parents would probably begin ageing again, due to how the strength of Boss monsters flows into their children, and by the time he's in his forties they'd probably both be dead (an inevitability for the rest of us), leaving Asriel Dreemurr as the last of his kind, stuck as a middle-aged goat-man for the rest of time.[/sp]

It's not like he needs it.

Thing is though I think through the total 55 hours that I've played this game, Jerry has appeared once. Even after reinstalls, resets, save file deletions, I've only seen him once.

There'd be no time to grab his soul when he's done and dusted, and even if we could grab it, it'd probably have no effect on Flowey whatsoever. If anything it'd make him worse.
