Undertale was a mistake.
This one wasn't funny at all. Come to think of it, the only actual funny part for me was the very first scene in the first episode and then it all fell flat after that. The lack of effort really shows, in animation and writing. And holy fuck,
Here's a little bit of anger-fuel for today: The video never directly credits the authors of the models used in this video. The only way to find out who made the models right now is if you pledge $10 on their Patreon, where they lazily throw somebody elses Workshop Collection link.
fuck that. Scummy as all hell. The only reason this series exists is because there are a bunch of kids who eat up everything that has an Undertale sticker slapped on it, which is a damn shame because Undertale itself is such an amazing experience that none of this schlock seems to respect. Run it more into the ground, why don't you.
Undertale is a great game. It's fanbase can eat a dick for sure though
this never ceases to be relevant, btw
Undertale was a mistake.
source filmmaker was a mistake.
Totally overuses that old kind of exasperated arguing type of dialog to be funny. It's not though because that's like... the first thing amateur script writers will go to for comedy, lots of argumentative dialogue and characters getting annoyed with each other. It's really uninspired and overdone, it shows lack of experience.
Apparently this took "over 400 hours to make" and their "2 animators" left their "higher paying jobs" to dedicate themselves to this. Yeah it really shows [t]http://i.imgur.com/ByQZvOj.gif[/t]
When I think "hundreds of hours of professional animation work" I too think "the mouse-draggy puppet tool". I did some model work for this guy a while ago, it took the guy months to actually pay me. I asked for updates a few times but only got "oh it always takes this long to get paid" from the person I was in contact with. I ended up just writing it off until one day the money showed up in my Paypal. On top of that the whole thing just seems aimed to get as many views as possible and devoid of any passion.
Competence can save pretty much anything. Even FoodFight could have stood a chance of looking half-decent if the animation wasn't composed of Kinect-tier motion capture.
Hey man, dont knock Food Fight, they had an excuse :v: They literally lost the whole film and had no budget so they just slapped it together and made the masterpiece we were exposed to. [editline]16th October 2016[/editline] I mean shit at least Food Fights funny because of how bad it is.
Update: I approached them on Twitter:
People like this make me sick. Bastards think they can get away with their shady shit because it's a "parody." Someone should contact Toby about this. These assholes need to be shut down.
He's usually pretty hands-off with this kinda stuff, but who knows?
:speechless:Seriously what the fuck?
Just a bit ago he tried claiming that everything uploaded to the Steam Workshop is "auto-granting worldwide royalty free rights" - as if that excuses not crediting. And even then, he's dead wrong. The Steam Subscription agreement clearly states that anything uploaded to the Workshop is protected under Copyright Law unless stated otherwise: http://store.steampowered.com/subscriber_agreement/ And in the case of for example the Alphys model, there's a pretty hefty Terms of Use they're violating: http://steamcommunity.com/workshop/filedetails/discussion/686820984/364043054115302724/

He goes from completely acknowledging the stolen models to "I didn't know you owned Undertale as a whole". What an actual jackass.
He's usually pretty hands-off with this kinda stuff, but who knows?
I think this is one instance where he needs to step in. These guys are the textbook definition of scam artists.

Seriously he should just admit that he fucked up, take down the videos and get consent from the 3d artists/credit them as said.
Also I find it funny that they want to collaborate with Coyoteze. Morons probably think you're some sorta small time SFM animator that they can exploit.
God damnit I saw 40+ new posts and thought full Hard mode was released or something cool not a bunch of drama over a shitty video.
God damnit I saw 40+ new posts and thought full Hard mode was released or something cool not a bunch of drama over a shitty video.
To be fair, this was its own thread before. Then it got merged.
God damnit I saw 40+ new posts and thought full Hard mode was released or something cool not a bunch of drama over a shitty video.
At this point you should give up on seeing anything else added to this game. Pretty sure Toby is finished with it.
Oh man what the video got snipped. Went ahead and looked for the video anyways. .... I don't see the problem here- oh right, someone else's talent and money is at stake here. Please proceed.
God damnit I saw 40+ new posts and thought full Hard mode was released or something cool not a bunch of drama over a shitty video.
I had the same feeling Don't toy with me guys, I am trying to [del]wait patiently[/del] die peacefully with as little memory of this game as possible
i don't get it people are surprised that source looks like shit??? and it was used by an asshole? sounds like business as usual with source to me
i don't get it people are surprised that source looks like shit??? and it was used by an asshole? sounds like business as usual with source to me
Did source kill your family
i don't get it people are surprised that source looks like shit??? and it was used by an asshole? sounds like business as usual with source to me
First of all Source isn't even the problem, visually it's that the animations suck utter dick and it's being passed off as a "400-hour effort, pls support our animators" And secondly the problem is assets were stolen and the company who did it are acting oblivious to their blatant illegal copyright theft
