I mean there was one guy a while back who picked apart the character that is Onion-san. More stuff along those lines would be welcome, the lesser characters surely have more to them under the surface than the ones in the spotlight that have their stories pretty well laid-out.

Onionsan's existence is a pretty big mystery.

I kind of doubt that. Onion-San is a weird character but I don't think they're there for much more than a goof, and again, I think they're supposed to be taken at face value. No I mean someone went through Onion-san's "backstory" and pretty much identified that Onion-san is literally an onion. Presumably one that Alphys injected with determination, which would explain why it was given such an anime name. They also identified that Onion-san has been growing the entire time that it's been in Waterfall, and not that the water in that room was getting shallower (as if it were getting shallower, the walkway would have been totally submerged before Onion-san noticed a lack of room).
Yeah it's not much of an interesting backstory but it feels like it has a bit more perspective when you take Alphys' arc into account instead of looking at this character in isolation.

I think the only side character that has a little more to them than what's plainly shown is Muffet.
There's some really interesting implications about her character, her motives, and the spiders in general during the genocide run.

I randomly noticed something when I was rewatching the true pacifist final boss.
(Spoilers obviously)
[sp]When you're fighting Sans and Papyrus' Lost Souls, Papyrus speaks in his normal voice and font, but Sans speaks in the standard blips and font, like when he's in 'serious mode'. When the souls are awakened, he goes back to his normal voice and comic sans. I might be overthinking slightly, but maybe there's some sort of intentional meaning there? Seems kind of weird to have him speak in his serious voice when he's still speaking casually.[/sp]
Or it could be nothing, I dunno. :v:

[sp]It seemed to me that the lost souls when they got infused with Asriel got some/all of his negativity, all of their dialogues sound like supressed thoughts, I'd argue that Papyrus was the odd one out as his dialogue was just about capturing humans, while all the others were revealing some depressing or violent thoughts, especially Sans and Alphys[/sp]

I think it's pretty clear that there's [sp]a mystery behind Sans and Gaster, and given Toby's recent updates he want to expand on it.[/sp]

[sp]I wasn't really paying attention during that part to notice the font change, but does it happen to be sans serif? it's the font he uses during his genocide fight, which would explain stuff[/sp]
Funny thing is, I could easily see Sans as Varric. Hell, you could probably give him Varric's voice and it probably wouldn't be unfitting.
Napsta with Cole's hat is adorable, Ill give 'em that.
