[sp]Although I agree Mettaton is probably the biggest dick of the main 6, I think the memorial statue was already gone when Mettaton got there and erected the statue of himself. It says the fountain is from 201X, and the statue in Waterfall was pretty decayed, so likely taken down a long time ago. Even for him it'd be a massive dick move to tear down a memorial statue and replace it with himself.[/sp]

It says it on the fountain: something like "Royal Memorial, Installed 201X. MTT Water Fountain Installed Last Week". I don't remember the exact wording, but it strongly implies that the old memorial was tossed aside thanks to one of Mettaton's selfish and callous decisions when building the MTT Resort.

The Purple Soul had Cloudy Glasses and a Torn Notebook. I like to think he was a historian, a professor, who came to the mountain to learn about the legend of the monsters. This goes on. [/sp]

Still waiting on Undertale Metal gear crossover art where they are replaced with [sp]Revolver Ocelot, instead of getting killed by Asgore they collapse on the floor and "Die from Foxdie" writhing in pain while Asgore look on confused. Oclelot reaches out and Gaps "FOX..." Moments pass and Ocelot suddenly looks annoyed, he reaches forward dramticall and gasps "FOX...." one more. At this point he frowns at Asgore and says "look friend, I'm trying to give you an out there, have you not done this before?" "No, I can't say that I have?" replies Asgore "It's simple, I say FOX! and you say die... I keel over dead, you look cool, nobody has to get bloody... got it?" "I think so?" "Ok from the top... FOX..." "... oh! Um... Die..." And thus Revolver Ocelot slumped to the floor supposedly dead. When Asgore turned around all that was left was a yellow soul, corpse nowhere to be seen, in the far reaches of his hearing, Asgore thought he could hear a poncy British man laughing, but considering the absurdness of his day thus far he chalked it up to exhaustion and went inside for tea.[/sp]

I don't think [sp]the yellow (or any other) soul's an adult.[/sp] Apologies in advanced if this sounds off, never really tried to explain my reasoning before, but figured now's as good a time as any to share my madness.
I always assumed based on the "intent to harm" stuff that a lot of the weapons worked, for lack of a better term, based off of the imagination, more so than their physical ability to harm (for the most part, will get to exceptions). Due to their bodies being made of magic, something that, let's say a child, imagines is actually able to affect a monster as a sort of "human magic." A couple example weapons:
Stick - A stick by itself isn't much of a weapon, but it certainly makes a great pretend sword when you're a kid (at least, it did when I was a kid, can't say for anyone else).
Toy Knife - Same idea as the stick, not much of a real weapon, but it works great when you're pretending.
Torn Notebook - This one's probably the best example I have for this idea, especially supported by [sp]Omega Flowey's attacks with it. There he attacks with negative words, such as "HORROR", "DEATH", and "CRUELTY", and when the soul fights back, you're healed by "HOPE", "HAPPINESS", "KINDNESS", and so on.[/sp] I assume for the player using it, it's likely the same principle. They use the ideas contained in the notebook as the attack. It reminds me of a tweak to the old nursery rhyme I'll probably botch quoting. "Sticks and stones may break my bones, but words will destroy my soul."
Empty gun - whether a real gun without rounds, or as I always imagined it, an empty cap gun or squirt gun, no denying that it'd make a great accent for a game of Cops & Robbers, or Cowboys & Indians. "Bang! You're dead!"
And the exception, the [sp]Real Knife. By this point in the Genocide route, you no longer have a child-like innocence, nor the imagination of one. But who needs that when you're -really- able to hurt somebody?[/sp]
Again, just my ramblings on it, don't think I've ever heard anyone else say something like this, so hopefully I made at least some sense.
I wanted to share a drawing of Asgore I made, kinda didn't know if I wanted to post it since I based it in another Asgore artwork I found on Google but tried to make the face first by myself and then use that image to add the details. Also I'm not good at drawing anyways :V

I actually really like this idea.
The only problem i see with it is the rest of the weapons, The Gloves, The Shoes, The Pan, [sp]and The Worn Dagger[/sp]
