Imagine how much different the game would be if Asgore was evil instead of "big fluffy buns". Like, it would affect almost every character in the game and completely change the mood. An AU of that would be pretty interesting.

Indeed. Only thing close seems to be Underfell, but that seems a little "Ow the Edge" from what I've seen, and almost all the characters in that branch are "evulz". So there's plenty of space for an "Iron King Asgore" AU where everyone is afraid of their king and his brutal ways. Hell, when I first played I thought Asgore was gonna be some sort of demonic force that had infected the Underground, but then it turned out he was more of a tragic fool of a villain, and not at all the Crawling Chaos that I'd anticipated.
