Speaking of AUs, HELP_Tale is finally out of its ARG phase, so we might see a new part soon.
Here's hoping. Been a long time since I've seen anything from that particular AU.
Been a while since the last Storyshift update too, though I imagine the [sp]Guard Captain Toriel[/sp] fight is taking a fair bit of work...

I'm glad he hasn't just dropped them completely, but I'm skeptical when he says now isn't the right time to do them. Surely the moment will pass more and more the longer he leaves it?

In my opinion, he should have just finished everything extra then left it. But that's only because if it were me, I wouldn't be coming back to it out of sheer lazyness. I wouldn't want to go back and put more work into something that I already worked for 3 years straight on to get finished.

Here's an optimistic view:
The alarm clock won't do well if the game has a dead/declining fanbase down the road. Since he wants to take a break, I can imagine some of the fanbase moving on until its completion.
Toby has the advantage of making anything he wants canon. I don't think he likes working in GameMaker so I can see the comic being an alternative way to expand on any lore he feels inclined to mess with. However, if he's gonna go all the way with meeting the kickstarter goals then he will have to go back into GameMaker to make the "Secret Boss Fight", so he will at least have to touch the game itself which gives me hope that the lore will be expanded into the game itself.

P.S. I have [sp]Undertale[/sp] set as my morning alarm, its peaceful and has a nice buildup so it doesn't scare me when it goes off like a normal alarm.
The kickstarter rewards are actually Frog Fractions 2. He's been playing the long con.

A digital alarm clock would most likely be what he had in mind, but honestly there's a million of them out there and I don't think he can add anything new. What would you even put in it that would justify buying it?
Now if it were physical, it would sell like hotcakes just because it would be a novelty. Doesn't matter that no one uses physical clocks anymore people would buy it like hotcakes.

If he did make a physical one, that'd be great, but if it played music from Undertale as an alarm, I wouldn't imagine seeing myself use it all that much. It'd probably just end up being for decoration. (Not that that's a bad thing.) Like others have said, using music as an alarm makes a lot of people sick of it.

I don't know about that.
It stopped being funny some time ago for me.
There would be the occasional clever one to appear once in a while, but when it's drawn out for like a quarter of a page it loses it's charm.
I think that the nicknames (ex. Asgore 'the Laddie Killer' Dreemurr) are getting old. Whenever it's poking fun at the fact that he killed kids (ex. my last post with Monster Kid), it depends on how it's done. That last joke for example was pretty funny to me (and to a lot of people it seems.)
