VERY IMPORTANT THING TO NOTE ABOUT GENOCIDE YOU NEED TO KNOW: [sp]You have to grind out battles in each area (Ruins, Snowdin, Waterfall, Hotland/Core) before that area's boss/town. The music will change when you've done enough grinding. You can usually do this in the same area as a healing savepoint (the first real room of ruins, snowdin etc) so it's not too hard.)[/sp]

Ok you're going to want to abort this run I think. I know I know, mystery and all that, but there's a problem and you don't want to get fucked by this I'm sure of it, I know I would be butthurt if people pushed me to do something like this and didn't tell me the ramifications; [sp]There's more to the ending than what you saw. If the only ending you got was 'Beat flowey, text boxes', you didn't get the actual ending. To get that, befriend everyone you can and kill literally nobody except Asgore because there's no way around that. See pacifist through to the very end, and use mercy whenever possible, even on Flowey. I don't necessarily want to spoil what happens, but I assure you, you want to do Pacifist before doing Genocide.[/sp]

I got all the way to the end of Snowdin before I realized I fucked up. I was 1 off, because Snowdrake ([sp]With Jerry[/sp]) counts as a unique kill towards the counter; but after Snowdrake, all the encounters just counted enough to not qualify... Starting all over again cause... Fuck, I want to do this!

You can probably gleam this from what others have been telling you, but just letting you know straight up that [sp]if the last thing you did last run was the Flowey fight, you haven't gotten the "good" ending yet.[/sp] Feel free to continue doing what you're doing, regardless.
While doing the [sp]traditional neutral > pacifist > genocide route[/sp] has a greater impact it shouldn't really matter how he plays it. I'm pretty sure there isn't an actual proper or fixed route to play this game.
Nor do I think Toby intended there to be.
If your concern is that he'll be blocked out of [sp]true pacifist[/sp] don't worry. At this point there are so many ways to completely reset the game's variables that if he really wanted to he can easily complete what he missed.
I think doing a pacifist run after genocide run is a great experience.

Actually a lot of Asgore's sprites are just white outlines since the background is black and fills in the rest.
