Smoke, Bandit, and Jager are very good defenders but maybe a tad advanced for someone new. You're suppose to roam with them. Rook is never a bad operator to play as, just know the P90 sucks balls. Doc isn't bad either, but imo only play him if you already have a Rook. Castle might seem like a good op but frankly his barriers can be more of a hindrance then help for his team. Mute is just a worse Bandit.

I'm finding more and more that thermite is very situational. I've seen plenty of games where we wouldn't even need a thermite charge (sometimes we'll have a thermite on the team and we'll win even though he never used it). The only time it's truly useful is for garage breaching points.

The only maps I can think of where you really don't need him are Plane, Oregon, and Bank. Plate just either doesn't have enough walls or has pretty good multi-access. Oregon has tons of ways to get around without him. Bank as well, unless it's CEO office.
On Chalet you need him to get into all the points if they're done up correctly. Club House you need him for all points except the bar. Consulate for anything on the basement level. Hereford Base for anything not on the second floor, and even that is debatable. House he is needed if just for the garage. Kafe you need him to get into any room except train and the bar freezer. Kanal you need him for all points. He is important for almost all points on Yacht too.
The Thermite/Thatcher combo is essential in almost any given situation. Opening up another lane of fire or another entrance point is often the most effective thing you can do.
Is it just me or is it easy to deal with roamers when you're with your group? Just assign someone to hold a key cut off point between your team and the path to them. You can usually have a jump on anyone that isn't pulse and if you have a cocky pulse you can snag them too.

Blitz is absolutely my favourite operator for attacking
If you have a decent team, he's super powerful for distracting the defenders while your colleagues take them out, and even solo he's very capable of pulling off amazing clutches if you play him right
Man I just found out how useful drones are. So that's why I was failing all of those situations!
I still probably suck shit though.

Great kill though. :v: It's not unreasonable to have someone camp behind that wall so a random spray is pretty justified.
I'm glad it's just masks and not full skins, would suck for immersion to be playing tactical halloween action. Hopefully the masks don't go ott.

I could be wrecked 3 rounds in a row and still be happy with a random penetration kill

Just played my first ranked match in forever. Game went max rounds, came down to the fucking wire. I don't understand when an enemy team is good at roaming on defense but then ever checks for roamers when attacking because I got some fucking easy flanks every time but trying to search for roamers in attack was a bitch.

Just won a game, I and another guy were top of the team with a good amount of kills, teammates had 0 kills.
So the top player from their team starts off on them saying "noobs still can't get a kill huh?" "get carried" "keep sucking (other top player)'s dick".
