its ok they'll reduce the range of the super 90 in the next patch
I heard, but in the current meta of picking Frost literally every defense round, the Super 90's power is really apparent.
I play frost because trap killcams sustain me
Russian [shotgun] is the worst
Really? I thought it was one of the better ones because it's a semi auto.
I heard, but in the current meta of picking Frost literally every defense round, the Super 90's power is really apparent.
Frost is still going to be in every defence round because her traps are really good. [editline]28th March 2016[/editline]
Really? I thought it was one of the better ones because it's a semi auto.
It's spread is very high and effective range is really low afaik. I'll use it for shits because you can silence it but it's not great at all.
frost is the best trap operator simply due to the fact that she is the only operator who is non-reliant on electric traps.
Her traps just blend in better too. Under a window you can't shoot at if you're not mid jump, behind a door with broken door debrie blocking the view, hell you can place one in plain damn sight and people will still hit it because of just not looking or ADS'ing too much. [editline]29th March 2016[/editline] I really hope they buff Kapkan come 3.0 too. I actually kind of like playing him because his SMG is pretty good. I like getting kills by placing mines aggressively at the start of rounds too. I really hope they do something with the spike more than the laser. I feel like getting rid of the spike and making people break the bottom of doors to check would be a better buff than getting rid of the laser like the glitch was because then you're delaying the enemy team time-wise too, more so than Frosts traps since they can be spotted on the bottom of the doors far easier. There are also craftier spots to place Frost traps than Kapkan ones.
Kapkan being a mechanical trap doesn't sound too bad, actually
Replace the laser with a thin black string, remove the spike
I've seen this said before and I kind of disagree with it. Not only would it make every door and window a fucking nightmare for attackers, but every deployable electronic gadget in the game has some kind of visual representation. Smokes bombs have a little glowy bit, like C4, Jagers anti-grenades have the red light, Bandits shock boxes throw sparks, etc. because they actually want attackers to notice them and deal with them. Which is what is also fucking annoying when it comes to Frosts traps because those have been designed with the complete opposite in mind...
I don't agree to be honest - I've learnt to check under doors and always look through windows when moving around for frost traps, and they don't really pose much of a problem if you're careful imo However, it does very much annoy me you can destroy the trap and still be downed when coming through a window
I don't think there is an effective enough counter to frost traps right now. Attackers need a gadget that destroys them.
I think they should buff that Buck shotgun its really not strong for being an "Class Special"

Is Tachanka any good? I've seen people using him, albeit in casual.
Tachanka is only good if you like his guns, the deployable machine gun is a death sentence to you due to forcing you to be stationary at head height and it is so huge that it is hard to get behind cover. Easily the weakest defender imo, the only real one who needs a buff.
tachanka is a stupid dumb useless idiot head
he has a niche that you need to really play him in, it's very situational that situation is when you have the challenge to do so otherwise no
yeah thats look far better than the current one, his shotty is only useful for window or door breaches
You've been using him wrong then.
he has a niche that you need to really play him in, it's very situational that situation is when you have the challenge to do so otherwise no
His turret is awesome if you have a good spot and the element of surprise on the attackers, but that jump on the attackers only lasts so long. The bigger problem between the two honestly is the ability to place the turret down in good spots, if they adjusted the amount of space it takes to place down a turret I'd consider that a huge Tachanka buff honestly. I've gotten killed before trying to place the turret down in an extremely specific sweet spot and it's maddening
The turret used to be much smaller I believe, back in beta. Maybe it was somewhat useful then? He could be good, with a lot of refinement...
Full update 2.3 patchnotes http://forums.ubi.com/showthread.php/1418994-Update-2-3-Patch-Notes Some of these changes:
Animation & Sound Fixes Players in a squad could lose voice chat functionality after the squad leader had left. – FIXED Sound randomly cuts out and then back in. – FIXED Players can lose all sound effects for the duration of one round and then hear drone sounds playing constantly. – FIXED While sprinting with a shield, the shield animation doesn't match 3rd person animation and sound effects. – FIXED The visual effects, such as a flashbang, from the previous session will "stick" and persist through any situation or session. – FIXED The Silencer for the C8-SFW will at times not have any audio functionality for nearby players. – FIXED

Hit Registration Improvements While we do have longer-term plans, which we’re already working on, for improving on hit registration, we had some advancement with this latest patch. We’re glad to share that lag compensation has been improved in order to give the advantage to lower ping players vs. higher ping players. This means that the "peeker’s advantage" has been reduced and players who are hidden behind cover playing with a low ping will be less vulnerable to high ping players. We also have improved monitoring of hit registration so that we can better track and diagnose what to improve on further. Finally, several bugs related to hit volumes on characters, shields and barricades have been corrected. What this means is that from now on, what the players see and experience should more accurately reflect what actually happens on the servers.
Plus casual matchmaking improvements. This pleases me
I am of the mind that the punishment for ditching ranked matches needs to be expanded a bit. Make it a 6 hour ban or something. Also make it so you can't lose rank on a match you joined midway through, or where the teams are imbalanced.
The turret used to be much smaller I believe, back in beta. Maybe it was somewhat useful then? He could be good, with a lot of refinement...
Just whack casters on the bottom of the tripod. Boom, instantly the best character in the game.

If you join a match that is already 1-2, the match should not count against your stats [editline]29th March 2016[/editline]
If you’re at the bottom or top of the skill ranks (Copper, Platinum and Diamonds), depending on where and when you’re playing, you might be waiting a bit longer on average than you did before. However, it should almost never happen that players will be matched against the other side of the skill rank range. Keep in mind that the Casual and Ranked skill ratings are different, and that squad matchmaking prevents us from avoiding extreme cases completely.
Finally I wont play against god damn diamonds in casual anymore [editline]29th March 2016[/editline]
Players can receive error 2-0x00000068 when accepting a party invite. – FIXED
Oh man this patch is looking great
wait is there matchmaking in casual? So if I do bad, I'll be mixed in with similar players?
Second game today and I already got a hackusation. I dunno if I should be proud or worried if this becomes commonplace. [editline]29th March 2016[/editline]
Or even in casual. If you join a match that is already 1-2, the match should not count against your stats
I don't think this is fair. I've joined a lot of 2-0's and brought them back, and if I don't it's not a big deal. Ranked is a different story obviously but if I get dropped into a 2-0 in Casual I'm looking forward to the challenge.
In my experiences, when you join a match thats already started, the teams are 5v2, or even 5v3 which is not good for anything
If I get put into a game that's already started with less people on the team I'm forced on, I just automatically assume that the other players left for a fucking reason (which is THEY FUCKING SUCK) and just leave immediately. It's gotten to the point where I have to spend 15 minutes joining and leaving casual games just to find one that isn't already in progress. I wish they would add in "Disable join in progress" as a matchmaking option so I don't have to deal with this crap anymore.
