Is there something wrong with line of sight or something?
Two times today I've looked at the location where I was shot from but I couldn't see him on my screen
But he was clearly visible on the kill cam
You see and shoot out of your gun model essentially. Stops head glitching, Entertains issues from getting shot by people you can't see.

I don't know if it was changed since this was said but this is in an interview with a Ubisoft programmer :
"In Rainbow Six Siege, bullets will originate from the center of a player’s screen, meaning “bullets will actually go to exactly where it looks like they should go,” Crawley explained."

Actually it's more your neck area. If you shot from your gun you'd be hitting the walls a lot of the time while leaning and peeking.
If I found anything in my time on siege it's that you shouldn't trust;
your viewpoint
low cover
hitboxes
kill cams
corners
the angle from which you see anything
windows
your inability to see a threat

I get paranoid as fuck being around open windows, I feel like I'm going to get headshotted at any second

Every time there is an open window I get killed from the top of it more than the sides so now I watch the top of open windows and get more kills. :v:

with me and windows it's like
I'm clearly being shot from a window. I look at the window. There is nobody there. I'm still being shot from the window and now I am dead. Cut to the killcam. There is a person obviously hanging in the window.
God, Frost's C1 is probably my favorite defender weapon. It's heavy damage, high range, and damn does it look cool.

I can't stand it. It's sights are terrible and it's visibility is awful because of how you hold it. It actually is one of the better SMG's for damage but even nerfed her shotgun is the better weapon imo.
Both of her weapons are pretty equal in my book.
A video and a rant

I don't want to be a stereotypical naysayer, especially of a game I like, but the last patch has honestly been the worst thing for Siege. Before 2.3 I honestly though the technical state of the game was fine. Hit reg seemed to be working great, casual matchmaking was fine, lag wasn't as wonky as it could have been. The Frost nerf was good, the Buck buff was good, but the claimed hit registration improvement have re-fucked the game back to before patch 2.2. I'm not happy, and like before patch 2.2 I'm not playing as much as I could be because of stuff like the above happening in almost every game. It's fucking frustrating. It doesn't make me feel better when it takes much longer in 2.3 to find a casual game. It feels like waiting for a ranked match sometimes. Then when I finally get into one, the teams are not really balanced like they say they should be. I'm not even complaining about the free weekend, I played very little to none over the time the game was free, I mean since 2.3 came out. I'm not complaining about match balance either, I'm level 106 and I could care less who I get matched with, but if queue times are going to be way longer in casual, I'm not seeing the benefit of it. I also think the new cheating counter-measures are fucking retarded. Don't temp ban anyone cheating. Perma them away, tell them to fuck themselves. And then this new system also had the sad result unbanning anyone previously banned for God only knows what reason. E: And I've just been DDoS'd so they haven't fixed that either from the new patch.
I am not happy with 2.3. I've only seem the game improve since I started playing it in December with each patch and I've always thought people immediately complaining about X thing after each patch was a retard but I'm a leg up on the hate train with this right now. I really fucking hope 3.0 will blow my and peoples socks off. I want it to, because every patch but 2.3 has.
I kind of wish you could score points for taking out someone's sights with the emp grenade.

Yeah, You can refund any game that uses third-party drm.
recommended operators to start with?
Depends on your playing style.
recommended operators to start with?
Rook is a must-pick on the defenders side as well as being relatively easy because his weapon basically has no recoil. Doc for the same reason, though his gadget isn't as good. Mute is somewhat popular for new players as his gadget helps with stopping drones and thermite charges, and is really well-balanced besides. Jager is a popular pick with a passive gadget, who has a bit of a learning curve as he's got low armour, but his gun is incredibly good. Kapkan looks good but he's really not, the traps don't get anyone these days. Tachanka is underpowered. Castle is a liability more often than not. Pulse, Bandit, Frost, and Smoke have learning curves.
For the attackers, Thermite and Thatcher are staples, Thermite is usually a must-pick depending on the map, good guns and incredibly powerful gadgets. Blitz is good but requires some learning because shield playstyles are very different. Sledge and Ash are popular picks with good guns and useful gadgets, but they rely more on your ability to kill and can't contribute as much with their gadget as some of the others can. Fuze is very newcomer friendly due to his good gun (AK-12), high armour, and somewhat effective gadget, just don't pick him on hostage because you will kill the hostage with your cluster charge. Glaz, IQ, and Twitch have learning curves. Montagne is a more team-oriented Blitz, I wouldn't play him solo. Buck is OK, I guess.
just finished RS:V2's story mode for the first time today, had fun all the way through (except in the gym level where enemies give out flashbangs like candy)
although i've played the game many times before on PC and PS3 so i was sort of a one-man-army :v:
also, how accurate is this? http://www.gamerevolution.com/features/tier-list-the-best-and-worst-rainbow-six-siege-operators
also, how accurate is this? http://www.gamerevolution.com/features/tier-list-the-best-and-worst-rainbow-six-siege-operators
not really at all
also, how accurate is this? http://www.gamerevolution.com/features/tier-list-the-best-and-worst-rainbow-six-siege-operators
Literally nothing about this list is right
how easy is it to get the in-game money/unlock every operator?
you'd think this is a f2p game with how little they give you to start with
Watch all the video tutorials(you can skip them), for around 1000 renown IIRC. Completing all the operations will help you learn controls and map layouts, and earn you a bunch of renown. Otherwise, you get roughly 130~ for each lost game, and about 220~ ish for each won game.
Operator prices work like this: Four groups of four operators. Buy one operator from a group for 500, buy the second from a group for 1000, buy the third for 1500, buy the fourth for 2000. The only ones that aren't priced that way are the Season Pass operatives, who you can either get as part of the Season Pass, or 25K renown each.
The only other things you spend renown on are for weapon mods and skins. Scopes averaging about 150-200 renown each, with the skins being hella expensive.
yeah the scaling price really put me off, i paid $50 for this but i have to unlock everything
I like having stuff to unlock personally
not when the game relies on unique characters, it's kind of fine in cod because the guns are pretty much the same just different stats
not when the game relies on unique characters, it's kind of fine in cod because the guns are pretty much the same just different stats
it doesn't really rely on anyone, though
there are operators that are good but there's always a way around a problem
I love this game but jesus christ the hit registration is so shit.

Looks like hit registration is good there. Probably had a lower ping than you.
