big red blood puff means headshot. The game shouldn't be lying to him if that's what he saw [editline]18th April 2016[/editline]
also, how accurate is this? http://www.gamerevolution.com/features/tier-list-the-best-and-worst-rainbow-six-siege-operators
My personal list; S Rank: Rook, Thermite, Thatcher, Frost, IQ A Rank: Sledge, Blitz, Fuze, Pulse, Buck, Twitch B Rank: Mute, Bandit, Jager, Ash, Smoke, Castle C Rank: Montagne, Kapkan, Doc, Tachanka S rank because a majority of victories rely on the first three. Frost is up there due to having the only trap in the game not affected by Thatcher's EMP. IQ is up there not because of her gadget, but because a great competitive player will use her for her weapons and speed. The only other character with her speed is Ash, but imo Ash is more valuable when with the team and cannot afford to split away from a group, unlike IQ who has great anti-roaming potential. A Rank because each provide great support utilities to their team. Sledge and Buck can proide holes, Fuze can easily disorient a defended room, and Pulse can wallhack. Twitch is there because while her gadget is a bit niche, it can be used effectively in the right hands. She has the added benefit of having a spare drone and can also double for taking out traps. All these ops have great guns as well. B Rank because while they are overall good operators with mostly good weapons and gadgets, but their gadgets are susceptible to being taken out easily by one single attacking operator. Castle is a niche and can be good in certain situations, but sometimes you'll need a good castle or it can sometimes hinder your team. If Thatcher wasn't a huge issue most of these operators would be on my A rank, but aren't. Ash is up there because I don't think her weapons are very good. C Rank because their gadgets aren't where they need to be. Kapkan is too easy to take out, doc is very situational and don't even get me started on Tachanka.
I think you're underrating the power of Jager's gun a tad. Doesn't have the DPS of Twitch or the punching power of IQ or Thermite but it's easily the best non-shotgun of the defenders. Very powerful in the right hands. Also I think Ash is much better than that. A Rank IMO. The ability to open up doors with a distanced shot is insanely valuable on a rangy map like Bank or Chalet. I don't know about Buck that high. Maybe it's my playstyle that does it but I don't think the shotgun is as effective of a tool as it's made out to be and you can't put a grip on the gun. That extra jump in the recoil can be a killer.
My personal list;
Honestly, ranking like this is stupid. Outside of Tachanka, who is straight up shit, Mute, who does the same thing Bandit does minus having a trick to not get his gadget KO'd, and my personal opinions on Castle, every operators doesn't outdo another. Saying Doc is a C tier is dumb because he is one of the best on-objective defenders, especially when paired with another three armor operator. Bandit and Jager being B tier is also silly because Bandit is invaluable for being able to do the shock box trick on Thermite, and Jager is one of the best roamers in the game because of his passive gadget and three speed. Montague is amazing on bomb maps for simply being able to post up in a doorway and block out enemies. Smoke is a very good operator for close roaming and stalling because his smoke bombs can stop a push for over thirty seconds. IQ's guns are great but A tier? Sledge is a much better flanker and solo operator than she is because he can bust walls better. IQ is a direct counter to Pulse though, and a good one too.

Sledge like ash is more valuable when with the team. Plus he doesn't have the speed iq has which I think you're undervaluing [editline]18th April 2016[/editline] Also it's all based on my own opinion and how frequently I use certain ops. IQ is my most used op and I've had more success with her than any other. I still think her gadget could use a buff tho
I don't think I'm undervaluing her speed, just when I flank on attack I like being the Kool-Aid Man more.
How is Sledge more valuable with the team? Putting a guy in harm's way to breach for the entire team is a bad idea, but flanking with those nades and guns creates a very effective choke on the enemy. Also I love roaming as Doc, I've killed entire teams before, great shit.

I actually wouldn't mind a noise grenade that emits gunshots in different directions to confuse the enemy. Would be interesting. [editline]18th April 2016[/editline]
Considering Sledge is like, the most ripped and buff motherfucker in the game, I think his speed is pretty good
I beg to differ. Tachanka is a big ass fucker
I actually wouldn't mind a noise grenade that emits gunshots in different directions to confuse the enemy. Would be interesting.
Sounds like the better attacker idea than the stupid AR shield guy we're getting next.
Sledge can hit stuff from the side.
And Ash can do it from range, and anyone with nades can just blow it open. Having a flanker is a lot better than having just another guy to go through small hallways.
You made it sound like you didn't know he could do that. :x
Sounds like the better attacker idea than the stupid AR shield guy we're getting next.
i'm hoping this extra month was to make this idea less shit
I want an operator with something like the Optiwand in SWAT 4.
I want an operator with something like the Optiwand in SWAT 4.
doesnt the car pretty much do the same thing
I was watching leaks and shit about the brazillian CTU and someone said he might get a fucking ladder. Why must they make attacking ops so shit!!
I was watching leaks and shit about the brazillian CTU and someone said he might get a fucking ladder. Why must they make attacking ops so shit!!
Yeah, I remember hearing about this. A guy with ladders would be pretty fucking great on maps like House, Kafe, Kanal, Plane, Yatch tbh. Places with lots of space to cover. It gives more maneuverability to attacking teams.
Idk, the only spot I thought it'd work is Kafe Dosteyyenjanjnsdka where the balcony was. But it seems very niche. I guess itll depend how it works.

I still don't think it'd be worth it.

You cant really "surprise-breach" from downstairs if it takes a lot of time to climb the ladder after breaching
If you could put them up before you blow a hatch that would be fucking amazing. If only after then that might promote attackers actually carrying one shotgun (or that op will come with one?).
are they ever gonna lower the price of the new operators? 25k shiet
And new maps, bloody hell.
Played ranked for the first time yesterday and instantly became gold 2 wat.
I'm playing with a team of people that all use VOIP and we're on our 4th flawless: communication is OP.
Has anyone actually managed to get a kill with the lazer trap?
Has anyone actually managed to get a kill with the lazer trap?
I get them all the time, you just gotta place them where they don't expect them, behind barricades and in places that they can't see them.
my friend got a two people with a single one last night he seems to get kills with them literally all the time
I just feel like Frost's bear trap is a more effective version of Kapkan's trip wire since it's much more subtle.
