Lovin this game a lot so far. The update yesterday on PC raising the tick rate is huge.
I play with 2 other guys and so often we clutch rounds 3v5 because our teammates are being dumb. I have something like 101 wins and 36 losses in casual. People in ranked are ridiculous tho.
The hit registry on this game now is just soooooooooooooooooooo much better.
Usually killing people with one shot with a shotgun now, and about 5-6 bullets with an AR/SMG unless I hit them in the head.
Sooo much better now, soo much.
The improvements are great. It just feels more responsive now, pistols don't take as long to kill people so I'm really owning them with my shield.

Pistols never took so long to kill as long as you shot them in the face.
No luck with shotguns though. I find that I die to automatic fire well before I get the second shot needed in 9/10 cases. After the second or third lost round due to using a shotgun over any automatic I decided to shy away from them, which is a shame because they feel great in this game.
how would you describe this game to someone whose only real experience of RS is from Vegas 1/2?
im still getting a few ¨peekers advantage ¨occasions.. i.e some guy peeking a corner, nailing 5 shots on me and i only received one even with VERY low ping

CSGO + Battlefield Bad Company 2 if you want to compare it via other games.
On it's own terms it's a 5v5 game where attackers and defenders with special abilities defend a bomb, hostage or area and the way to succ[B]siege[/B] is to listen carefully, communicate and utilize the environment to create new sightlines and paths through the destructible walls and floors. Unlike Rainbow it isn't a first/third person person shooter with static levels.

Worth giving out too because you get an 24h EXP booster for every person that uses your code.
I think I'll try and nab a code to see how the game runs. Does it run any better than the open beta? It was completely unbearable for me at that stage.

Well, Jono and I played our first match together, playing on Hereford and it throws us straight into the operator select screen as defenders with less than 3 seconds to pick something. Everyone on our team stalled out for a second and spawned as a basic recruit, and three of our team mates left directly after that leaving just Jono and myself in the basement.
About 45 seconds after round start, I'm sitting in the projector room in the basement checking cameras when Jono starts getting shot at. I exit cams and look out into the hall, I see three guys just strolling in. I walk up behind them and put a magazine into two of them and pistol whip the third. About another... minute or so, jono gets picked off from the steps, I wait it out for another 30~ seconds and the last two just storm down the stairs into my gun fire.
And that's how Jono and I won a 2v5 as recruits.
