Fucking wish IQ could use the G33.
Jager has a fucking desert eagle in that picture.
Although, knowing how RB6 works, the Desert eagle is going to do like, 42 damage, since, yah know, realism and shit, gotta make the .357 stronger because it's a revolver.
Just like how the PMM, a 9x18, does 58 damage, more than the 1911 and H&K USP, since it has a small magazine, small magazine = more damage yah know?
Just like short barrels (remington 870) makes shotguns do more damage than the long barrel versions, because, yah know.

Your FOV is really weird.
Man those flip up BUIS would be useless on that stubby little 870. Tiny sight radius and massive height over bore.
Shotguns in this game are pretty shit though. Nothing like insurgency, and even insurgency updated the 590 with ghost rings which is just terrible.
What on earth is going on on the gas maps? The gas masks make it so the only way you can see is by looking through console buttons, would've worked better if you could wipe your mask to get a cleaner sight for a few seconds.
I'm xxphantomfox if anyone wants to add.
Is it just me or is there almost nobody playing terrorist hunt on any difficulty, and why are there so many 400 ping spikes
Yall have played Terrorist hunt on that shitty University map, right? Cant see 5 feet in front of you, killer on the FPS.
I wish there was a skip map vote possible
Shields are as fucky as could be expected of a game that splits world and view models. C4 being used like grenades also defeats the entire point.
So i was playing my usual casual match, when suddenly i saw the whole enemy coming in trough the cameras with nothing but shields, i let one of my mates know, he threw a C4 and seconds later we won the match , it kinda felt like doing a genocide on a bunch of turtles
It's a bit boring to me how much of the game relies on map knowledge. Teams that look like God Tier Operators might just happen to know what to call rooms over VOIP, what basic strat to use for the non-random objectives, or which useless rooms have destructible walls that happen to touch the objective room. That seems to be the goal of high-end play actually.
Apparently, I'm bad for going 14-0 on the presidential flight map, on casual, because I wasn't playing the objective on defending team.
We got a first floor bomb placement for the two rounds we defended (we won 3-0 [it was also 3v5 since two of ours left first round]), so I went and camped near the stairs leading to the cockpit and each time, they all just kinda flooded in and I shot them all in the back.
That also makes me bad at CS:GO, apparently.

Flanking, for me, is my strongest asset in any video game. I'm not the best in head on firefights, but I can, if I do it right, shit on someones day if I know where the enemy team is, and I know the map well enough to get behind them.

This is always the case in games like CoD, Counter Strike, etc. Nobody is that great at head on fights. I used to call myself good at "thinking" in games like this, but then I realized that latency and fuckery are the major deciding factors in head on fights. "Flanking" is just making sure that that doesn't get in the way.

Wow stop objectifying weapon you sexist gamer shitlord. This thread is a safe space.
Shields are as fucky as could be expected of a game that splits world and view models. C4 being used like grenades also defeats the entire point.
Personally I think shields are a bit silly right now, and that's someone who plays a lot of Blitz/Montagne. Actually I play Blitz pretty much any time the game goes into overtime because he is that reliable. C4 counters them but C4 counters everything and netcode can fuck you up but when it doesn't you are almost unstoppable as long as you put yourself in the right spot. The pistol seems wildly inaccurate when you fire from the hip but I've gotten so many "lucky" headshots that I feel it's not as inaccurate as the crosshairs let on. As a defender shields are one of the very few things where I feel like I couldn't hae played any differently if they get me into a position where I can't flank them. I had the most retarded moment yesterday where I was watching a staircase corner and a Fuse with shield just walked in on me. I magdumped his legs, got a few hitmarkers, switched to pistol and popped his arm twice then just died as he walked towards me and melee'd.
IMO either C4 should be given out more liberally or there should be a weapon option, preferably a secondary, for defenders that pierces shields.
Yeah, I don't know why the tiny sneaker-wearing girl gets the game's second GPMG. I mainly play as her with the SIG but I feel like the MP7 would be more appropriate. I wish the game's weapon selections were more lenient in general. Some weapons are only used by one character when they feel like they could easily be more general-issue without affecting balance.
At the very least I wish I could change my grenade/explosive option. C4 for defenders is far and away the best option, a guaranteed kill every round and the only real counter to shields compared to mild area denial.

I made this post earlier and got dogpiled for it but it's pretty much the truth. I haven't even put that many hours into the game but me and the two guys I play with are winning almost every single game we play. The matches we lose are either because we spend the whole game perpetually a man down which happens a lot seemingly, or when we are fighting an obvious 5 stack. Regarding destructible walls you can almost immediately tell how a game is going to end with how each team plays defense. Most teams reinforce and post up around the objective. The truly effective teams reinforce then roam, or at the very least defend from awkward angles through a hole in the wall. I kill so many people this way and it never feels good.

I haven't gotten 14 frags on any map yet but the plane is where I do most of my work as a defender. There are so many opportunities and angles to take the attacking team that I'm amazed attackers ever win.
I've noticed an easy tactic to win most rounds as defender is to hide somewhere away from the objective you're meant to be defending. Then I wait for shit to hit the fan, and I'll quietly make my way behind the enemy and just shoot them from where they least expect it.
Even better is when I hide in a room I know they'll most likely breach, and most people are careless when they know the objective is far away. They'll just run through the room. So I shoot them in the back since they don't check if anyone is lying down behind an obstacle.
It usually nets me 2 guaranteed kills, unless the enemies are super careful.
I rescued the hostage for the first time. Not the first time I rescued them, the first time I've ever seen it done. I threw a ton of smokes in as Montagne, grabbed the hostage and jumped out of a two story window :v:
its really frustrating how one headshot from literally any gun kills instantly, even pistols
That last situation is stupid. I have to find 4 randos to play with me? Could sit at matchmaking for 20 minutes and not get a full team

Kind of refreshing, actually. Just so happens that the netcode sucks cactus.
The game is a really bizarre combo of hyper competitive gameplay and Battlefield type netcoding (which was acceptable for BF because BF is huge and was beautiful)
just had a great game with a long time friend of mine
so much fun
its really frustrating how one headshot from literally any gun kills instantly, even pistols
yeah I hate the fact it happens in real life too
pistols shouldn't be one-shot kill if you get shot in the head. real life is too op
That last situation is stupid. I have to find 4 randos to play with me? Could sit at matchmaking for 20 minutes and not get a full team
Yeah, I was thinking about what an awful system that would be for players who get into the game during it's later lifespan when people have zero reason to do the last situation.

you can also jump in real life. try your sarcasm all you want but this isn't supposed to be a sim. its fucking stupid how there are no differences between any weapons because you can just nail someone in the head once with literally any gun and kill them. recoil, fire rate, etc, doesn't even matter.

those all matter if you aren't of the 2% of the community that does that on the first shot, ya doof. yes, it's not supposed to be a sim, which is why we can comfortably consider the headshots feature to be an intentional game design choice.
pulling off headshots is fucking rare, and the only time I've ever been popped in my big melon is when i'm the one who made a mistake. I stupidly lean out of corners so basically only my head shows, it's a given that I'm more likely to end up getting my grape popped.
in a normal firefight, it's a lot more uncommon. only times I see headshots successfully land is when the person being shot at is not aware of his attacker, and sticks his head out of cover. in actual firefights, spray is a real thing and you end up missing more than you hit if you aren't careful.
I really enjoyed the free weekend. Too bad I still can't buy the full game. Even ~38€ on the cheapest key store isn't affordable for me right now.

If you wanna say this isn't supposed to be a sim why would you bring up the jumping point first of all- you can't jump in this game because in a real life situation akin to Siege you're probably never going to jump while wearing heavy armour in such closed quarters, so how exactly does that add to the point of "it's not a sim". And saying there are no differences between weapons is a far, far stretch just because one person can land very accurate first shots (which is extremely difficult in this game given all the different movement options and situations).

Because if a gun shoots you in the fucking face you're probably going to die and the game, while not a simulator, is very much about deliberate shots and tactical pacing? Don't rush, don't be an idiot; think with your team and their capabilities, cover eachother's weaknesses, and make sure you get the drop on your opponent before they shoot you first.
I mean, every single Rainbow game before this, if a bullet so much as grazes your head, that's it, you're dead. Even in the Vegas games, no matter what helmet you wore it took a single bullet to the noggin to end you or an enemy. And unlike the Vegas games you don't regenerate health here, so that makes this more realistic in a sense. It's just series tradition, even in competitive multiplayer, that whoever gets the first shots is probably going to kill their opponent unless something unexpected occur. At that point a gun is just personal preference for efficiency or wanting to mess around, stats between guns shouldn't matter for what's better or worse - just what fits the player and the situations they may get themselves into. This isn't Counter-Strike.
So, are you supposed to get boosters for having friends play the game with your codes? Cause I got three friends to play it and I didn't get anything.
I even got one friend to buy the game.

I'm assuming they'll send them out when the Free Weekend is over, and all. I haven't received anything, either.
