Question if i bought the new Rainbow Six game on steam, would it install uplay? or would i have just sign into uplay when in the game?
I think it installs a version of uplay that runs when you start the game, so you'd probably have to sign in at least once and then it will auto log you in whenever you start it.
I don't have the steam version but when I launch the game from the .exe it signs me in automatically.
So I'm trying to play Vegas 2 online but it requires a login. I've tried my email address, my legacy username my uplay username but it just shows "Invalid Username or Password" over and over again. Anyone know any solutions?

I even changed my password today.
My username too. Nothing is working.

or maybe not. I logged in just fine.
Holy shit, I feel so good right now. Basically we had a normal 5v5 game until the end of round 1 in which everyone on the other team left and 2 team members left, we try to fight it out until we end up 2-2, it's 3 v 5.
Now this is my most proud moment, hostage situation, last man standing, 3 people on the other team are still alive, I'm hiding under a table and I wait until I see two people leave the room I'm in, I come out and shoot both of them killing them. I then hid in a corner in the room and just before the enemy gets into the room time runs out, we win. It feels great to win by the grit on your teeth.

They are the best.
Reminds me of when I was the last one defending the hostage on Hereford and find out that they just got the hostage from the top floor while i was on the first floor. Rushed out and had a firefight with a glaz, he downs me but since I'm doc I just res myself shoots him in the face and see that the guy with the hostage and another guy is like 1 step away from the rescuezone smoke so I pistolwhip both of them with a single shot to the head on each.
The amount of gjs and WPs from our team almost showed as much as the cheat accusing from the other team
Just played a ranked match 5v5 and came out 11-0, got reported by some cry baby that has a higher KDR than me.
Recorded the match and going to upload it, it's kinda amusing how much he complains.

OH WOW I JUST HAD TO CREATE AN ENTIRELY NEW ACCOUNT GREAT
Today I discovered that most Siege players I've encountered aren't big on CSGO. Yeah. I suppose that shouldn't come as a surprise. Still Siege is such a great game in it's own right seemed a shame that a fair few people were telling a story of them migrating to Siege simply because they were done with CSGO.
I suppose I wouldn't have realized this if I didn't feel the need to strike a conversation in literally every lobby I get into. But I suppose on the plus side I've noticed the community is really nice in this game, everyone's up for teamplay, banter and chat so that's cool.
It's growing on me to say the least, still feel like the gunplay is shallow though, but I feel like that's actually not a bad thing since this game is more about other things.
I really hate the gunplay in this game. It seems more arcadey than battlefield with the number of shots it takes to kill someone. I mean, it can take like 8+ hits with a pistol to get a kill.
It's my one major beef. It's so tiresome to get the first few shots off only to have the other guy get a lucky headshot and win the fight. I had a guy earlier today who headshot me with the first bullet out of his pistol from the hip.

This game doesn't like to be alt tabbed.
I could see all enemy movement except in the basement.

You do know that most operators are wearing heavy armor + more armor depending on the loadout. Just be thankful that a headshot is an instakill
So, at first I kind of really disliked the game, over the free weekend I played it quite a bit and I always felt sore/annoyed by things.
But I still wanted to play it on monday :v:
I guess it's pretty damn fun, even if I have my problems with it.
Alright bought the game on uplay, if anyone wants to play online add robotman5
You do know that most operators are wearing heavy armor + more armor depending on the loadout. Just be thankful that a headshot is an instakill
You say that as if "heavy armor" stops every bullet and covers every inch of the person's body. It doesn't. SWAT, for example, uses NIJ IIIa level soft body armor with possible hard inserts that bring it up to possibly NIJ IV. Note that the NIJ IIIa will not stop rifle rounds, and the plates only cover the chest and back.
So, no, the "armor" is not an adequate explanation for the ridiculously low damage of most weapons. If they want to go with this extremely arcade like bullet damage, then I would rather not have instant-kill headshots with every gun. It leads to too many examples of the person who fires wildly for the lucky headshot winning against the person carefully aiming for centre of mass.
its also a video game.
its also a video game.
Then don't give silly answers as if it makes sense because of the "armor."
If they want arcade, then go full arcade, but they've seemed to do an odd mix of realism with crazy unrealistic bullet lethality. For example, it often seems better to run gung-ho into a room instead of carefully leaning around a corner because it's harder to be insta-killed by a headshot when moving quickly.
i have to agree that the bullet damage ratios are totally off. it's not really noticable when you're in the heat of things but when you're pegging someone in the back it sometimes gets ridiculous when you mag dump in to them and they're still alive, and they just turn around and pop you a couple of times and you're dead
my biggest problem isn't so much with the damage but how fast you chew through ammo. the fire rate of all of the guns is like 900 rpm. you hold down mouse1 for a second and your magazine is empty

Pretty fun match if I do say so myself.
Your first problem was playing with randoms.... in ranked... Also whats your FOV at?
learning curve on this game is tough, 3 hours in and i feel like i only know a percentage of the strategy/maps my teammates seem to have. haven't quite decided how i feel about the game, ended up renting it so i might hold on to it for a day or two before i decide if it's worth $60.
[editline]23rd December 2015[/editline]
also does anyone else have a problem with putting up barricades? i look at a doorway and find myself erratically moving my cross hairs around to find the area that prompts you to put something up. gets kind of embarrassing when i can barely get two up before the prep time is over.

90 I believe.

It is true hardcore mode, playing with the most random of the randoms.
Man I need to get this, maybe after xmas.
I actually found a "way" to alleviate the terrible hitreg deaths that plague this game. It's because this game got the most bizarre and stupid fucking lag compensation i ever witnessed. That's probably not the only issue, but that's the most visible one.
How to alleviate that ? Having an higher latency. I shit you not. I usually play with 50-70 MS and get absolutely blasted-rubberbanded behind cover and corners, mutual kills out the ass, bullets that seem to disappear in the void, blood coming out from the ennemy yet he's still at 100 % etc.
I used a used a little tool to artificially inflate my latency by a set number, to hit something like 120-140 MS ingame and these issues are now way, way less frequent. It's still shit for a "competitive tactical FPS", but it's bearable.
The game netcode is surprisingly shitty, you know since they are pushing so hard for it to reach eSports you would think that the networking would be the 1st priority..
90 I believe.
P sure this uses vertical FOV, so your fov would be like 120?

1 hit 50dmg 100% of my HP
I thought it was just a skill curve but now I'm just getting pissed off, this game has too much. Too much everything. Like there's just no way that anyone can account for all the little nuances on every map, all the little pin sized holes that can be made, all the counter plays to counter plays to counter plays, all the angles and exposed positions. There's simply too much and therefore so much is left to chance and therefore this game just fails competitively.
