Is anyone else getting really bad connectivity issues?
I got the game yesterday and so far I've only been able to play one Terrorist Hunt to completion without being disconnected.
Am I the only one who found this completely fine? I was even using a shield on my only playthrough with it for less visibility.
i found it pretty easy honestly
I bought the gold edition thinking maps were in the season pass. I've resolved to be more informed in the future when I make other stupid choices.
I'm still not sure how the game will run on my PC, so I may end up refunding it anyway.
i found it pretty easy honestly
Yeah that's what I'm saying. I had no problems with it at all even with a shield which was blocking my vision in addition to the gas. It's really easy to see through.
Maybe my vision is just terrible. I can't handle the yellow gas at all. I found the same sort of thing with Payday 2s Alesso Heist and its blue, or the general colour scheme on Far Cry: Blood Dragon, it just stops me from being able to focus at all.
Seems I am in a minority though!

Terrorist Hunt is client hosted IIRC. Casual and Ranked matches are server hosted.
Theres been connectivity issues with UPlay servers regardless.
Picked this up on the flash sale. What are the most OP operators a newbie can buy?

Montagne is tons of fun if you've got a competent team. You become mobile invincible cover from the front, and can force a player to empty a literal clip into you, then you smack them down when they reload. It's hilarious. He was my first operator and the one I use the most. The enemy team also often just panics and rushes you, since you're simply that annoying to deal with.
Another fun operator is Glaz. He's definitively on the simpler side, his main ability being his gun which is pretty damn good. Don't even need to aim for the head with it, you'll take down people long before they can do the same unless they do that one-shot headshot nonsense.
Thermite is always useful, as taking down a reinforced wall often distract the entire enemy team, then you break in by the actual doors and they don't know what the fuck to do or watch anymore.
It's god damn annoying but I seriously wonder why more people don't do it
I just think that's because the mindset of the game is for defenders to not expose themselves/their operators until after the enemy is balls deep in the mission.
That and the spawn position of the attacking team is unpredictable. In the video's scenario, the attacking team spawned right in front of the defense team, which allowed this to happen. It's kind of bad luck, in a way.
After maybe 30 odd tries, me and my brother just managed to win a 2 man realistic terrorist hunt. Way harder than I thought it would be. Heaps of fun though, learnt a lot about clearing hallways, safer entry, and using sound to detect nearby enemies.

If you go with shields, prepare to die to nitro cells A LOT.

I'd wager Fuse. AK12 for a primary if you ditch the shield and a powerful special. Just a disadvantage if its a hostage match.
I really like thermite. The ability to bypass reinforced walls is often a big surprise and opens up multiple ways into the objective room. Having a few regular frag grenades is great as well.
so anyone else having problems with trying to play this online? Everytime i get to the joining game session part my game just crashes. Offline mode works fine.
what happens when you use Montagnes ability? Like he fannies around with his shield a bit but it looks the same from my perspective, im assuming he extends it? Do i have to re-extend it every time i move or crouch?

You are aware of that you need to hold the button down to keep it extended, right?

It seems like the servers are getting hammered this weekend.
I know the information is late, but seeing it in a picture makes me glee.

That's a pretty respectable take on micro-transactions. The main point being that there won't be any paywalls on content, but also they aren't limiting all the customization to real money or a crate system. This makes me feel better about the $45-$60 pricetag tbh but I'm still on the fence. Every gameplay video is making me want it more and more.
From y'all's perspective, is it worth it to wait for the price to go down + have more content available or is the game entertaining enough to warrant the full price purchase?
Well its stll 25% off atm, id say its worth it
Or you can go look for a cd key that is cheaper
Got a eb games gift card for Christmas, think I'm going to try and pick this up on the steam sale with a steam card

What's the cheapest it's running at currently?
It frightens me how much of my CPU this uses up; I'm afraid it will burst into flames at any moment when playing.
The 40 hour predicted playtime to unlock post-launch operators is almost a defacto charge on them though. Very few people are going to be willing to play for 640 hours to grind enough points to unlock all post-launch operators in the first year.
Edit: This post was a colossal fuckup on my part, see later in the thread.

Theres a lot of us setting on 50k+ rep because theres nothing to do with it at the moment

40 hours to unlock all of them would make a lot more sense than 40 hours per operator.
