s/o to the FP'er who played with I tonight and we carried our team before going after realism terrorist hunt
I'm always a little concerned when someone picks Fuze on my team.
On hostage rescue.
Why
tbh I've seen Fuze kill hostages like twice ever and I have over 50 hours of play.
As long as you don't put it right on top of the hostage (which wouldn't be good for kills anyway?) you're usually pretty good.

I had a teammate blast a hostage away with Fuze, and then the enemy team did the exact same thing the NEXT round.
Were you attack or defence? Because if you were attackers it would sort of make sense that Pulse would find you.
they didnt have pulse and the one who attacked us was fuze.
ran into the first waller. He literally just unloaded his gun into a wall for no reason (i wasnt in a corner or spotted at all) and hit me with every single shot. And in the end he killed both of my teammates with one being on the ground in the middle of the objective room and the other in a corner which is the most predictable of all of them through a different undamaged wall.
The enemy team was using verbal communication to spot your location with a drone, that's why you weren't spotted, and that's always why voice communication is invaluable.
Next time look around for the bright red light and shoot out the drone, just because they aren't spotting you with it via the game mechanic doesn't mean their dead buddies can't talk them through the objective room.

everyone said it was coincidence, but he literally just aimed perfectly at us in any room afterwards. vocal communication doesn't mean you know EXACTLY where the person is every single time. There is plenty of videos showing people aimbotting, walling is way harder to catch but people can be obvious.

You'd be amazed how well people work together, I've both said and used spots that told me exactly where someone was two rooms away.

40 hours of play and I've seen it happen around 5 times.
Not super common, but I'm still questioning why you would to tempt the risk of hitting the hostage, given that Fuze's grenades can be extremely random. I've had situations where grenades go through a floor, bounce back up, and kill 2 teammates above and one where the grenade rolled under two barricaded doors and killed me. There's still a chance of god knows how to kill the hostage.
ive had so many bad experiences with fuze grenades whenever a teammate uses it i hide on the other side of the map
In any team-based shooter pubbies will forgo the concept of teamwork, and pick the guy they think can pull off the most kills.
That's Fuze for R6.

Or try to be super cool and play Glaz.
How does Siege compare to the older games? The last Rainbow Six I played was Raven Shield. Is Siege more action or stealth oriented? Is there a planning phase like the old games? Can you actually choose and control multiple teams?

Not sure how you could possibly control multiple teams or even multiple people in a multiplayer game.

In single-player, like the mode the originals had. Or maybe with Bots.

There is no singleplayer. Did you not pay any attention at all to this game?

There is the Situations, but notice this guy is asking how it compares to the older games, which you know, this is seemingly a series sequel too. It's logical to think that the series all about squadplay has it in the later games.
Given how Vegas and everything had SP, it's a normal thing to assume from the perspective of someone who guess what, hasn't been paying attention to every single press release, like Arktomys above.

Yeah but if you're trying to find out stuff about a game, wouldn't the first thing be to at least look up some basic information on wikipedia or anything?

to be fair to the ill-informed consumer it's expected to have some kind of singleplayer experience with rainbow six games because that was one of rainbow sixes key feautures
leave it to ubi to cut corners
I wish there are more different looks for the terrorist, because almost every terrorist has an hoodie and white mask. In every darn level.
There is this one map for example: Der vier reiter, with a whole motorcycle club house right? Yeah, why not change those terrorists to motor gang terrorists defending their club house?
Or some mafia like terrorists holding up an house. In every map that plays in different countries, they should add in those levels their own country origin look.
But i don't think they'll do that anymore though.

Because all of the non-pvp parts are supposed to be about the Rainbow taking down that one terrorist group that's doing bad shit all over. Did you not play the scenarios? The cutscenes explain all of that.
[editline]3rd January 2016[/editline]
Did you not pay attention to the extensive plot and lore of Rainbow Six Siege?
itd be nice if I can get into a game without the servers having a piss
Theres a glitch with Fuse fyi- If you stand over the hole where it launched from shortly after deployment, you will be killed. Happened to me twice. Counted as TK's too which sucked for the Fuse guy.

Got considerably easier with 5 people instead of 2
I've seen fuzes grenade charge pop off the surface after launching all the grenades into the room and killed a teammate standing behind fuze
i love blitz's lines
"lets heal that booboo"

See to me when i look at it in depth, Siege feels like a downgrade in terms of quality from the Rainbow 6 franchise, especially when you compare it to say Vegas 2, i miss the 3rd person cover + blindfire :( and actually having a proper single player, and Terrorist Hunt in Vegas2 was far superior to the stripped down bullshit we get now.
...are you kidding me?
Take it from someone that played Vegas a FUCKTON with people especially from Facepunch; this is THE modern Rainbow Six.
Vegas was a sidegrade from the whole franchise, compared to this it's a downgrade by itself.
It's Terrorist Hunt was a bunch of bullshit compared to what we have now.
Now we atleast get a chance to shoot back instead of getting shot across the map by a dude who SOMEHOW heard you zip your fly when you were in the bathroom before you even started the game.
