I'm pretty sure some games solved this problem by making the player world models fore arms/legs fold a bit whenever you'd press against a wall, why couldn't they do that here? It's weird because there's a separate stance when you prone in some enclosed areas (like those cubicles in I think the embassy) where you raise both your feet. But then on some surfaces (I've mainly noticed for room walls), you'll get that clipping.
the fact alone that an handgun can instakill me as an heavy armored operator with extra armor is the biggest fucking joke in the world.
I just go into it expecting quick deaths. I don't find it as annoying as some here

Sometimes it's like "Ok, I slow pushed that corner and died to a headshot, fine." and then sometimes it's "This was a big fucking firefight and I got dinked with a pistol from three rooms away, that is bullshit." Then sometimes you're spraying for body shots and they insta-dink you and that just makes [I]anyone[/I] mad, even in Counter-Strike.
My most annoyed deaths are pushing corners and they see my body before I'm fully around it myself and not knowing where my body is in accordance to my shield when pushing with Blitz. I swear to God it's impossible to know when you're ass is sticking out like Kim Kardashian when you're trying to turn on someone with a shield.

1 tick killcams don't help this either.
German operators' earmuffs count as a head hitbox, so blitz with his silly shield is going to get one-hit KOd if someone has a gun with wild recoil and fast firerate. Thanks to the mechanic, you'd be silly to pick a gun that doesn't fire fast. Even a pistol that in specific conditions does 5 damage, a headshot is still a headshot. I really hope they just give the head hitbox a proper damage modifier
How come whenever I use a shotgun it might as well be a potato, but someone can headshot me with one from 4 rooms away
how come whenever I use a shield, my pistol might as well just shoot behind me, but whenever someone else uses it against me, they have aim like the terrorist bots on realistic

Also, what I don't understand is how much the game puts an emphasis on going slow, taking your time, checking corners, etc. and then they give you like a 3 minute time limit before the round is over

kapkan's traps need to be less obvious or he needs to have more. he's absolutely useless in pvp
the laser being less obvious or downright invisible would also make iq a better pick, since her ability is kinda useless too.

I wish they made them more dynamic, like putting them in a hallway or on the top of stairs. It's too easy to just look at doors and not have to worry about them otherwise.

there's something insanely fucked up with leaning next to windows, and generally various stuff happening near windows - you can sometimes outright see in a killcam that a dude was rappeling down and was literally in the window, yet he was completely invisible. The game isn't going e-sports anytime soon

The big stupid red anchor that goes through to the other side needs to go.
It's an immediate giveaway from the other side, removing the need for caution, defeating the point of even using Kapkan just to buy time.

Only way I get kapkan kills now is by barbed wiring near a door to cover up the red anchor and then smashing 2 holes at shoulder height in the door so that people vault through it and explode.
That and Kapkan needs his armour rating reduced by one and thrown onto speed so he can actually get around the map to place his traps, as it stands right now you gotta basically run off as soon as the match starts if you don't want to trap right next to the objective.
Honestly his traps work best without a barricaded door in the middle of a choke point. If the enemy sprints for cover in another room, he will trip it.

I have the same problem, 4 is the default for your special ability.

You are playing the same game with the same rules as everyone else. If you're getting killed in this way THAT OFTEN you should be getting kills just as often in the same way.
1 shot headshots are still frustrating with how slow everything moves. especially since you have things like pistol which have the same headshot multiplier as assault rifles, and shotguns, which only take 1 stray pellet to kill you instantly. you shouldn't instantly die from someone throwing a peanut at your heavily armored head.

You are aware of that putting it behind Castles armorpanels makes it impossible to shoot it right?
According to the art of siege book it will also explode in sledge face if he breaches it with his cullen.
So long story short. Place Castles armor panel, mutes jammer and kapkans device on the same window (preferably when the objective is at one of the upper floors) and it's safe from all but ash.
That's not right, I have knocked down god knows how many armored doors without triggering kapkan traps. Also, Glaz can shoot through the armored doors.

Hiding a trap with a shield in the doorway is still more hilarious though.
Also, does anyone attempt to hide traps with barbed wire? I tried doing that when I first started playing, but I feel like it draws too much attention to the doorway, so I stopped.
Honestly it needs to be that you can place the traps anywhere. There's excellent spots that I wish you could hit with a tripwire. Like having one on the step of stairs. As is right now, the only reason I use him on defense is because his SMG is godly along with the heavy armor.
i think it'd be perfect if it was an actual wire instead of an obvious red laser. like you'd only be able to see it if you were looking for it

for me, the best way to use kapkan's traps is to place them in unexpected and random rooms. like some room that isnt even near the objective, its a lot more unpredictable that way
This is a pretty cool game, and I've had a lot of fun matches.
But a lot of times it just feels like I'm doing work and not having fun.
I used to think Bandit was completely worthless because I thought his whole gimmick was just shock wire, but it looks like he's basically a 2nd mute. He would be really useful in a spawn where it's possible to barricade the majority of walls wouldn't he?
