This game is getting seriously Ubisofted
Still don't have a code despite trying to grab an nvidia one and use that. It says I have "guaranteed closed beta access" on the site and I was invited to the alpha, technical and I got the "get ready for the beta!" email but so far nothing. I've seen this is a pretty widespread problem, so where do I open a ticket or handle this? If it's working as intended, do they have a schedule of when the waves go out?
people here might like this as a fun game but for me as a rainbow six game it looks like trash. The movement model is like floaty and at breakneck speeds, the pace is ridiculously fast, the gunplay is virtually identical to COD and the maps are small. whats the point of calling it rainbow six if its not going to stay true to what separated rainbow six from the litany of other "shooters"? Well the point of course is to cash in on a known IP name..... We wont be seeing a revive of this genre until (if) ground branch comes out by the looks of things.

I feel like the only one without internet problems. However, I am having massive problems with players who have no brain cells. Two of my teammates decide to hide themselves at the top floor of the house, barricading themselves, and letting me and another guy die in the garage next to the bio container. They're not even trying to help. And it's not the first time this happens. There really needs to be some sort of mandatory tutorial for this shit. Telling them doesn't help either.
I had one TDM match where as soon as we started one guy TK'd all of us and played a 1 vs 5
What a dick. I played in one game where we had two really bad players who would friendly fire by mistake, but it was really frustrating, as they'd get you down to about 10 health, even though it was an accident. They ended up being killed by the guys they FF'd against. I was worried the next round would devolve into vengeance TKing, but surprisingly they left it behind. Even had one of the guys who killed the FF player get revived by that very guy who got TK'd. Was a nice sight. Also, I'm getting nonstop "Leave Platoon" connection errors. It just gets to the point where after 15 mins of that, you quit and can't be fucked playing.
This game should have a ranking system to put you together with people of the same skill in my opinion. Also a replay system so I can save those sweet-ass matches.

vegas is really horrible too the vegas games literally spawn enemies in as you move throughout the map rather than have them preloaded in, so they'll just randomly spawn in to the room behind you and you have no control over it siege is pretty much the same way. it'll spawn half in the strike area and then half outside when you get in to engagement mode. it's annoying as shit because you don't have time to locate targets without some bonehead going on and triggering that event. you'll be camming around with your drone and get shot in the back of the head because for tangos literally spawned behind you
Welp.. cancelled my pre order.. game is VERY fun and all with friends but it kept pairing me and my friend on servers with 900+ ping while we can play cs go , rust, and pretty much anything else just fine Lack of server browser and very little weapon customization puts me off too.. ill wait till release and see how it is by then

I'll post up in a good overwatch position from outside and shoot into the building to take out tangos, then the second a door is breached magically some come around behind me from the direction we inserted from. It's such fucking bullshit.

Damn, did a couple matches with a group of friendly guys and we had winning teamwork going on and it was fun as fuck. if they iron out the problems and drop the price tag this game could get an awesome following i'm sure, "rainbow six" or not it has a lot of good things in place.

I like Recruit as an operator more than the others even though he has no unique equipment or weapon attachments. I haven't tried any defenders because I usually mostly play terrorist hunt.

There's enemies on maps who will book it out the doors the second any door/window is breached or contact is made. It makes the sniper towers and whatnot placed outside main buildings on maps 100 percent useless as they offer no cover and you get swarmed immediately after first contact.
This game is in pretty unplayable state. Buggy as fuck, the server tickrate seems to be 5hz after a quick wiresharking, mouse acceleration is all over the place and the matchmaking queues, holy shit. It's just so bad. And those are just the technical problems. Shields are hugely overpowered due to high accuracy + high damage pistols. Who thought it'd be good to have pistols in R6 do more damage than machineguns and rifles?

Shields drive me up the wall, but every time I use one I just happen to come up against a guy with C4 who throws it perfectly
They ought to make it so you have to aim to shoot with the shield. Or at least make the shots very inacurate. Would be nice if the shields had some sort of timer too. Like its taken too much damage or maybe it gets too rubbish to use (Minus Montagne)

In most FPS games, the server is authority over everything. In this game, it's client authoritative and from what I've heard you're even authoritative over your own death. I actually believe them when they say they're running on dedicated servers, but when you use a client authoritative networking model then you'll get shit like that in the video. PvE's somewhat fun though, I'll probably get the game for that once it comes down in price. Ubisoft games usually drop in price significantly after a few months.
ubisoft make bargain bin games. literally. like three months after they come out you'll find the goty version for 20 bucks in complete overstock because retailers can't get rid of them. they produce way too much and overshoot their sales by a ton and have too much product that they can't get rid of three months after rainbow six siege comes out though i highly doubt it'll have more than a thousand players on it. it's too lackluster and it's highly forgettable/has almost no replayability in pvp. the co-op is okay tho. that'll be it's saving grace
Best thing about the beta for me, is giving me enough time to play the game to not want to buy it when it comes out.
