don't forget the +25 hours you're going to have to put in for each DLC operator that you don't buy!

I'm hoping they go down in points subsequently from other ones being released.
I think 25k renown is plenty fine for each DLC operator. Other people are spending real money, while I can simply play the game like usual and get the new ones.
Around 100 hours in is when you'll really start to understand the game really well and be a complete monster. I'm at 152 hours of in-match experience and I'm so so much better than even at 60 or so hours. Just keep grinding and try to find people that suit your play style as teammates. The toughest issue is finding a consistent group of guys to play with when you're a lower level. Once you snag onto a group it's way easier to learn and mold yourself.
I'll never understand why a clan stack of 5 (most of which were platinum) would go play casual. Like seriously fuck off and play ranked.
And stop trying to recruit via chat. No one likes that.

Sometimes it's only a group of 4 who don't have a last guy or a group that's warming up before heading to ranked. Take it as a challenge and do your best against them. The best way to develop is taking on the top guys. I've learned a lot just from studying how groups play and the little things they do to hold down the fort or get into an area quicker.

Yeah I always see clan encounters as an interesting challenge. Feels satisfying to take them down!

When theres 3 or 4 its cool. No problems. But a full squad thats obviously in the top 5% of ranked playing casual... Thats just not fun
What's up with Matchmakin recently anyhow? It's taking me forever to find games since the patch and often the levels are skewed. Takes me a bunch of rejoins to get into a match

Obviously it's a lot more difficult, especially if you're not with a group of communicating teammates. I've run into squads of diamonds before on ranked while being with guys who can't hold their own against a group of platinums. It's frustrating for sure.
I personally love the way the ranking and matchmaking works, for the record. If I get my ass handed to me by a copper, I'm going to plummet. If I kick a diamond into the dirt I'm gonna rise. It's incredibly balanced and it really does allow quicker matchmaking and better connection.
IMO the most frustrating thing I run into playing R6S is the people who beat me due to pure gun skills over using their head and playing smart. For example, I was playing some ranked the other night with a group of buddies. We're playing Hostage on house, and we're breaching from the front yard window. Three of our guys went through the back stairway. The other two of us were coming through that front yard window. The guy I'm with ends up getting himself killed trying to breach from the side of the bathroom, and is taken out by a kapkan who is sitting in the corner behind a metal cart or something. The Kapkan goes back to laying in the corner looking the other way, facing towards the back stairway. I send in my drone to get an idea of where things are. There are two enemies left now, and one is a castle sitting near the stairway waiting with his shotgun. The other is the Kapkan behind the metal cart. I take my time and hop down to the open window on the bathroom side. I have eyes on Kapkan's feet, but I'm not shooting yet so I don't give myself away. (Front yard camera was out btw, so no chance he sees me.) I'm waiting. Waiting. Just watching this guy sit in the corner. If I throw a grenade I could kill the hostage so that's a no-go. He pops his head up and I put at least 2 or 3 bullets in his head, and he spins around and drops me with a headshot. Until hit detection is truly fixed, it's near impossible to play smart and win every time. As Sun Tzu put it, if you know your enemy, you should never lose.
Matchmaking doesn't actually work, right? I just got placed (as unranked) against a team of platinum.
edit: After 2 straight games of some fucking nerd leaving before the game started so it's 4v5, I'm 100% done with ranked. Why bother if Ubi's going to go out of its way to make it as unattractive as possible?

This guys clips are pure gold.
like the new pink skin
What's the fastest way to get renown playing solo? I'm really not enjoying the grind for the DLC operators. I should have known it was going to be like this coming from the grindy F2P mess that is War Thunder.
Why is there no penalty for trying to drop-shot? Some kind of delay on ADS or something would be nice.

Honestly just get with a good team and pubstomp. you'll get renown a lot quicker than you think

Find a good crew. If you play against a bunch of good players try to get in with them and build your game. A team of coppers communicating can beat a group of platinums if you can work together. The good thing is your rank wouldn't plummet or go to shit losing to platinums. You lose to the best and it's okay. You beat em and you climb.
A good team of people blitzing through terrorist hunts is very fast too.
so i guess ubisoft isnt in the mood to make the original bundles unlockable with reknown

With who? They added it to shields in 2.0, which is what people were complaining about.

But he's talking about drop shots not ADS with shields.
I don't understand then.
Just unlocked Frost, holy fuck she is awesome.
This ranked matchmaking really is some piece of work. Currently Plat 1. Queue up and team is filled with silvers and we play against 3 plats, 1 diamond, and 1 unranked.
Now on my team its 4 golds versus an unranked, 2 coppers, and 2 silvers.

Drop shot. Prone and shoot at the same time.

The only friend I have who owns Siege only plays t-hunt to avoid tryhards.
Does it seem like bullets do less damage/ people have more health after the update? I've noticeably been having to shoot people more to kill them.

I've been noticing I get blood spewing all out the enemy and doing no damage, so maybe hit detection was changed further.
I recently picked up R6 during the lunar sale since I had really liked it when I had the Beta. I really like what they've done with Pulse's scanner.
Why is terrorist hunt so dead. Can't find a single person in Hard or Realistic :v:
I'm kinda sorta getting the hang of this game, and it's a lot more enjoyable now. So far I'm finding I like Fuze and Smoke the most. Those cluster grenades can be devastating.
