Hey what are your guys tactics for not getting fucked up by roamers?
Playing a lot of games right now which seem to end with Bandit fucking up my teammates while I run in fear as Frost hunts me down
(Apologies if this is roamers post #8725872)
I feel honored to have just played with the guys at Node. :pudge:

Be quick to the objective. If you go around the mulberry bush you're probably gonna put yourself at risk. Also, you gotta make sure if you're running with a team to have someone watch the ass. Having one guy dedicated to watching the back is so important to preserving the team, and roamers don't usually expect resistance.
And also, make sure to get cameras every time. Knowledge is the key to Siege, and if they know where you're at you're automatically at a disadvantage.

D confirmed OP.
Oh, and if you can see how many people are at the objective with your drones. If you know how many roamers to expect it's a lot easier.
What if they made rook armor grant that one extra armor boost with the cost of a 1/2 speed loss. That'd make a lot of people reconsider rook
I don't think the special abilities should ever harm the team (except for obvious things like cluster charges), even if it is the trade off
the trade off should be that you're picking this guy over this guy, not whether you should utilize your ability or not.

Literally no reason to nerf Rook.
in fact rook should probably be buffed to improve the armor of light guys better

Honestly, after finding out how harshly range affects damage I'm ok with how Rook's armor works for any armor rating.
yeah range is really important
I got nicked for 1 damage the other day when I was on 8 hp
Still think it'd be a cool idea to give Tachanka headshot resistance, since he has that helmet of his. Giving him +1 extra bullet buff for headshots (save for Glaz) would make him a very tempting choice along with a bit more maneuverability with his machine gun.
Since his ability requires him being idle, it makes sense
ubi should update the game to not be able to launch if you don't have a mic connected to your pc
it would make pubs so much more bearable
I'd happily use my mic in game if it
A) Actually worked half the time in game
B) Wasn't super quiet in game for no reason despite putting it on max
[sp] unless they fixed that recently, because I haven't played in a while [/sp]
There are two mic volume sliders in the game. One is your microphone level slider in Windows and the other is just for Siege. Turn both to max. Haven't had an issue since.
I've also never heard of it just not working.
should put 100% for voice chat record threshold

Does someone have the location of nodes? I'm wondering if I'll be at a better ping at EUS (??) than CUS (61-90)

Check the ini in Documents\My Games\Rainbow Six - Siege.

I know how to change it, I just dont know where the nodes are. I'd assume CUS is Chicago and EUS is somewhere in NYC/BOS

honestly could have just been a launch issue, I saw it quite a bit but i haven't played in like a month or so
am i the only one who thinks kanal is awful
Just spent a minute (and 20 seconds) dancing with a guy as montagne. It was funny watching him slide through the 5 stages. He started with denial, trying to get a headshot over my shield. Then moved on to anger, as he emptied 2 mags quickly into my shield. Then bargaining - he tried to outmaneuver me to put a shot into my squishy flanks. Then depression - firing a pistol shot every few seconds, knowing it was futile.
Acceptance was stopped by my ally arriving and hosing him down, as I was pissing myself laughing.
Montagne for ultimate roamer blueballer.

i kinda love it
it's great aesthetics wise but it can be a bitch to defend

I personally think it combines everything bad about a siege map.
- Too many windows, getting peeked on spawn is bullshit and hard to counter. Especially when most guns are deadly accurate. This is by far my least favorite thing about the map, it continues inside the building where there are 50 million angles to keep in mind. Shitty for both teams.
- It's huge, tracking down roamers is a pain in the ass, rotating between parts of the map takes forever.
- Visual clutter in certain areas can render people invisible, especially on the stairs in control. This makes the window peeking worse.
I really hate House. A lot. There isn't a lot of room to move or approach and if you're a defender it's claustrophobic as hell.

Once you know where each location is for the map it really isn't that big.
I think from a defending standpoint it's a lot more difficult to hold down house more than any other map. Kanal is difficult at times if you're not careful of windows and don't stay aware, but teams on offense are always in danger from roamers and it slows them down.
House is just ungodly tough to hold down. The garage is naturally advantaged to the offense because of longer ranges and distances. The kitchen is unguardable. The construction site is easy to get in. The kid's room is just a fucking slaughterhouse. The bedroom? Have fun with Glaz shooting from the treehouse and the enemy team attacking from the bathroom and window. Don't mention the fact there is only three pieces of usable cover in that damn room.
Had a good game with pulse, got 3 kills from semi-roaming.
Was in the bedroom on Oregon during bomb. Saw a guy repelled with my heart beat sensor from the window in an adjacent room, vaulted out the window and killed him on my way down. As I sprinted to get back inside I noticed the "faggot" in the chat which made me smile. I spotted a guy in the stairs by the kitchen and attempted to flank him. While hiding in the kitchen though his teammate was trying to sneak up on me but I spotted him and shotgunned him down before he had a chance to react. I got ballsy and ran toward the last guy and got 2 shotgun blasts in his ass to win the round.
Not a bad game, ended up 8-2.
Call me dull but I love plane, there is something nice and methodical about it.
I like plane a lot also because of how cramped it is, feel like I do better on it than most maps because of that.
i instantly go glaz when its plane
I hate it when Glaz just sits on the plane wing with his thumb up his ass all round, either for teammates or enemies, because it's either stupid that they're not pushing after a certain point or I'm lying on the ground sucking carpet until the timer expires because the entire enemy team is dead but him.
