SimRacing General: successor to Forza/Gran Turismo/Racing thread - Games

I doubt that 2017 is going to reintroduce playable cops (especially after Rivals, good christ...), but hopefully the game after will. With customization. I have the intense need to recreate the NFS3 Diablo Interceptor and use it to bust the ass out of racers. For 2017 I just hope they make pursuits actually worthwhile again because good lord are 2015's pursuits limp dick. Someone's ported the Targa Florio that was made for GPL to AC. Had a crack it last night withe AE86 (just bought the Japanese pack), ran out of fuel around 55km mark, and finally rolled to a stop after another 8km. I was barely 10km away from the end. I think the fuel consumption works out crudely as 5-6mpg

Whatever happened to nfs2015 anyways? Didn't they promise massive loads of free content and even teased neons as future content then suddenly stopped all work on the game?

it might just be me, but i wish that the damage options had something in between "cosmetic" and "simulation" in FH3 i'm not really looking to worry about tire damage or fuel but i want the possibility of screwing up my car during a race by ramming into a wall instead of being perfectly fine

Whoever chose the title music for Horizon 3 was fucked. I am so sick of hearing 'TAKE ME AWAYYYY' on repeat every time the game starts

So I finally got some cash. Is it still worth it to buy FH3? What about the ultimate/deluxe editions? I'd probably be playing with a controller. So far they've been good, but the next ones may be shit. Deluxe and Ultimate come with a race car DLC pack and VIP, which unlocks double cash rewards on level-up wheel spins and a few other bonuses, and a handful of cars. Horizon is pretty fun but you need [I]at least[/I] 3gb of VRAM to play it stably on PC, and don't expect it to run well beyond 30FPS.

Hey could anyone tell me what the best (in your opinion) racing games with a career mode and car customization are?

A few times the game turns into a slideshow after i leave a festival, but only for a few moments. I also sometimes gotta tab out and back in again for the game to complete loading stuff like races etc. The game also crashes a lot...when it feels like it, sometimes going 3 days with no crash, then 20+ crashes in one day. It's as if it lives its own life

i'm curious with the car sounds in NFS High Stakes, where did they get those from? I really like Porsche's sound

It's as if it lives its own life[/QUOTE] Mine starts spitting out VRAM warnings after 30-50 minutes of gameplay, then after about ten minutes it will steadily decline in performance. Right before it crashes, it starts flashing a whole bunch of images onto the screen.

Is there actually animals in horizon 3? I only ever saw animals in the very first showcase + in some loading screens, that's it. Is that only where they show up?
