Is there actually animals in horizon 3?
I only ever saw animals in the very first showcase + in some loading screens, that's it.
Is that only where they show up?
There are Dingos in the Ormiston (sp?) Gorge and occasionally crocodiles/alligators in some bodies of water.
Some various birds sit perched in some places too, here's two pictures I took myself for proof.

Do lower graphics settings disable them or something?
I have not once seen a single animal outside of the first intro "mission", loading screens and once in the camera panning scene for one of those scenic locations.
Never once in actual gameplay.
Horizon is pretty fun but you need at least 3gb of VRAM to play it stably on PC, and don't expect it to run well beyond 30FPS.
It might not be super well optimized. But I currently ran it at 4k on ultra at about 50fps give or take. And that is on my old 8GB R9 390 DD XFX Black Edition (Cheap as hell these days) Not even tested it on the 1070.
Any Project: CARS player here? I like the detail in this game but I am having a hard time using my controller for corners

Also how the hell do you drive the ~60s Ford Mustang, the thing just keep spinning out even at slight tap of the steering wheel

I have no idea about lower graphics settings, but I've heard they're there on Xbox too so I don't see why not.
They're just incredibly easy to miss, they're always in areas where, just like pedestrians, there's absolutely no way of colliding with them.

Set steering deadzone to zero in the settings, and learn how to modulate the thumb stick rather than jabbing it full left and full right. Also learn to steer with the throttle and brake (eg using brake-oversteer to turn-in to corners). And for that matter, learn how to modulate the throttle and brake also.

I'd say that 0 deadzone entirely on a controller is a bad idea. In my experience even brand new controllers can have a tiny amount of analog lean that will be picked up by sensitive games. I still set it quite low, to something like 5%, but I never entirely remove it.
just great, after the update and clearing the cache, XBL refuses to sync my savegame from the cloud on FH3. how can i fix it?
nevermind, i just left the game and it synced

When I bought my first x360 controller the left stick didn't even center properly, it either stayed like 1% to the left when releasing from left side and about 4% from the right side. Was PITA in games with no deadzone adjustment
Been playing a lot of iRacing since I bought a sub... Wow, even racing the same tracks over and over again with the same car, it's a hell of a lot of fun. It really does feel like real racing just without the butt dyno.
Feels bad tho when you're in first and some dude just decides to use you as a brake pad and shunts you off the track on your last lap :/
i renewed my sub while theres a discount but pretty much all the events are tracks i dont have until the new season. the one event i considered this week was class b fixed but Bristol is scary enough at the best of times itll be hell after over 6 months no practice

the discount for new users was pretty insane, i thought about getting a year discount (only 50 bucks) but i had just shy of enough, since i want to buy the skip barber and some tracks as soon as i get my d license.
i want to move from the skippy into either another open wheel class, kamal gt (nissan gtp/audi 90 gto) or gt3 but the skippy teaches you to use every inch of track and drive without aids so its probably best to stay in it a lot longer. i went upto b oval as fast as possible taking a weird route and i kinda regret it now as i suck at short ovals because i didnt do any LM/SLM
I'm not a huge fan of ovals, but I fucking love open wheeled cars. I plan on just driving the Skippy for a long while before moving on to either star Mazda or FR2.5.

It's not that great. Graphics are mediocre, controls are vague, it's typical freemium, and variety of everything is lacking. It's just yet another F2P racer.
I really hate to say it, but I have to be honest - your taste in racing games (eg you also post about NFS No Limits?) is a bit bad

nothing comes exciting on pc, got no good steering wheel for sims (can't afford them)
i'm pretty much stuck with maximum tune and no limits (and emulators)

If you're playing on mobile, there are still some good games. Despite Real Racing 3's terrible freemium model and constant grind, it's still a damn good game. Rush Rally 2 is quite obscure but it's actually really good and has perhaps the best physics model of any mobile racing game. Then there's F1 2016 which has a number of flaws but, as soon as Codemasters update the damn thing, should be one of the best mobile racing games.

Does anyone remember this old racer on the original Xbox where it was like you had your own car making company where you could make and race your own cars, and like there were a few real cars in the game too like the Toyota GT One?
It would be cool if someone made a game today where it's that kind of 'Tycoon' game - like you start as a small-time manufacturer, and you have to juggle changing consumer preferences, evolving emissions and safety regulations, changes in the global economy and access to markets etc. But also as a way of marketing your cars, you can enter them (or silhouette cars based on them) in motorsports where you race them too. That's actually a really basic description of it, I fleshed it out in heaps of detail in my head earlier.
It's not that great. Graphics are mediocre
I'm really, really struggling to see this. It's a mobile game if you haven't noticed.
I'm sure some of it is pre-rendered or CGI, but considering we're looking at the same video it's a valid comparison, so here:

This looks exactly like a scene from Forza 4 on the Alps track. But it's on a phone. How on earth is that mediocre?

Mateyyyy, have you even played the game? I have, and it's installed on my tablet right now, but I think you're only going by a trailer that the developer wants you to see. Perhaps it was unfair of me to call it mediocre, so I think I might go with underwhelming. I guess I have been spoilt by Real Racing 3, but Gear.Club just reminds me of a mobile racing game from like 2010. Here are screenshots of each that I just took from my tablet:
Gear.Club

Compared to Real Racing 3
[t]http://i.imgur.com/qvY4dOo.jpg[/t]
[t]http://i.imgur.com/I42A2Us.jpg[/t]
Notice several things, eg Real Racing 3 has better shadows, better shaders, and actually utilises the Retina display (Gear.Club seems to work at a lower resolution, or at least with less anti-aliasing). But what the screenshots don't show is how the game works in action; the camera movement is just better in RR3, and the game seems to run at a better frame rate. Ultimately RR3 is just more-refined. Not that Gear.Club is necessarily bad, but I think mediocre or underwhelming describe it well.
Also, from what I have played of Gear.Club, it's more of that boring 'open road with very slight bends' which plagued early mobile racing games, while RR3 actually has technical circuits where you actually get to use the brakes.
[editline]3rd December 2016[/editline]
RR3 also has a detailed interior view on every single car, while Gear.Club doesn't have that on any car.
I'm not a RR3 fanboy; I hate Firemonkeys and EA for being too fucking greedy, but the game itself is just better
That's fair, I just thought you were judging the game by the trailer. I know it was likely a CG trailer but we were both looking at the same video.
Also, why the fuck is Real Racing 3 still using serif fonts on the UI? Looks like a placeholder.

I didn't even watch the trailer haha. Chances are it looks better on more-powerful devices (I'm on iPad Mini 4), but the same argument applies for Real Racing 3 too.
And I dunno about the serif fonts; I'm used to it. Does look pretty cheap now that you mention it.

The Tifosi thought it was a ripoff.

For some reason i am thinking of those old prototype atomic cars which fallout's vehicles were based on
That is the only one i can get a clue about.
Tifosi is apparently a word for Ferrari fans, and well the Toyota MR2 was a poor man's Ferrari, so that's my guess for car 2.
I really hope that car 5 is a Morgan 3 Wheeler. Obviously a whole wheel is missing haha.

Some people reckon it's a DeLorean, but I hope not. What a terrible car.
clue 1 car 1
Probably far off but i'd scream if it turns out to be this car

Yea they say the clue is a reference to back to the future, but i dissagree.
It most certainly is some kind of car which was designed but not fully produced in the past, which was meant to be for the future.
Im hoping that car 4 is a VS-series HSV GTS-R. Not because I like it, as it's one of the ugliest cars that HSV have ever made, but because the game really does need more Australian cars:
[t]http://musclecarstables.com.au/images/listings/admin-1197490143-0.jpg[/t]
Or, what if it's FTE TE50 T3? It has a V8 Supercars-inspired bodykit and is powered by a high-performance Windsor V8, where the FTEs were the last production Fords to have mostly the same engine as the Fords in the V8 Supercars:
[t]http://www.tseriesclub.org/wp-content/uploads/2016/05/T3-P03-0.jpg[/t]
Knowing my luck at guessing, car 4's probably going to be a generic track toy car.

The DeLorean was in Forza 4 and it was a ton of fun. Handled great, and started with such a pathetic engine that you could build it however you wanted.
My own terrible racing skills in it:
