Racing in the Morgan in FH3 (in Morgan-only offline races) is really fun; it's completely unlike any other car in the game. I'd recommend the DLC just for that one car. It takes finesse to get it smoothly around corners, but it's a very rewarding experience.

It will spin its tire all the way to its max speed with 240hp.
I can barely keep the thing going in a straight line, let alone go around corners. It will spin its tire all the way to its max speed with 240hp.
I only upgraded mine to 600 PR; sport tyres; sport gearbox, sport clutch, street brakes, race anti-roll bar and race everything for engine except for stock camshaft, cooling and flywheel. In the tuning I set the final drive to be slightly longer than usual, and I deflated the rear tyre from 2.1 bar to 1.8 bar. It still wants to torque steer left and right under heavy acceleration on straights, but it's still very controllable. Very precise use of the throttle can make corners a breeze. [editline]11th December 2016[/editline] Do clutch upgrades in simcade games like Forza and Gran Turismo actually do anything about how much torque the coupling unit can tolerate? Eg in the description for the clutch upgrade, and of course in real life, it says that upgrading the clutch allows for higher engine tuning before the clutch starts slipping. Is this actually simulated? Like, if I get a Toyota 86 in Forza which has a 200Nm engine and V8 swap it to an engine with 500Nm of torque, without upgrading the clutch, does the clutch ever slip? I've never tried this because I always upgrade the clutch anyways.
If you really want adrenaline, get Dirt Rally. It's way too exciting (if you like rally of course)
Oh man, I've broken into sweats in Dirt Rally, shit gets real intense when you're doing the longer events or the daily challenge thing where you only get one attempt
clutch slipping isnt a thing i've ever noticed, so i don't believe so.
IIRC, clutch slipping only occurs when you have transmission damage from shifting without using the clutch.
I've noticed in Gran Turismo (5 or 6, not sure) that if you have a powerful engine and a weak clutch the throttle indicator on the gauges wouldn't fill up all the way and instead some of it would be red, like when you have traction control going off or whatever But I'm not sure if that was really it or if it was actually just traction control going off If you really want adrenaline, get Dirt Rally. It's way too exciting (if you like rally of course)
That seems like the best option actually. I also thought about nfs but I don't want to get origin on this pc. Installed dirt 3 but it didn't even work for whatever reason. I might go for Dirt. Rally isn't my very favourite type of racing, but I still enjoy it quite a lot, and it looks insane! Offtopic: I miss gt4 more than 6, am I crazy?
Offtopic: I miss gt4 more than 6, am I crazy?
No. GT6 is fathoms worse than GT4. It's worse for many, many reasons, but the main one is the general inconsistency and awful framerate.

Offtopic: I miss gt4 more than 6, am I crazy?
No, GT4 got so many things right. Bonkers amount of content; nearly 700 cars, dozens of tracks across real world tracks, fantasy tracks, offroad. A series of racing for almost any way a car can be classified; manufacturer, drivetrain, aspiration, weight, car type etc. A race series essentially aping the line up of almost any real world race series. A whole host of side challenges and driving courses to do. And then I liked how the used car market worked, it made getting that crap japanese hatchback all a bit more special when you've been waiting for it to appear. This combined with the relatively low payouts early game gave a greater feeling of owning the car and becoming attached to it, you'd slowly build it up as you could afford it, changing the oil every few hundred miles and buying new wheels The rim market was nice too, having the ability to buy aftermarket wheels from a big range of suppliers as well as there being a used wheel market that refreshed like the used car market but all the wheels were from other cars so could put Audi wheels on a VW for example. The garage menu was good as well, you could sort it in any way imaginable and display any stats you could want.
I'm having trouble with Dirt 3 as well. It refuses to go fullscreen, and on my friend's laptop, refuses to even load the main menu.
Dirt 3 has a weird issue where it refuses to boot up in fullscreen from time to time, and as there isn't a fullscreen option in the menu, you just have to Alt+Enter it go have it boot up in fullscreen. I can highly recommend Dirt Rally though, it's a real return to the CMR roots, and pretty challenging to boot when playing it for the first time. It's easily one of the best racing games I've ever played. (and put the most time into too at that.)

I also appreciated the improvements to the handling model over that of GT3. However, the menus (especially that big Monopoly board main menu) were unintuitive as hell, changing cars took longer than it should have, accessing the car upgrades and tuning were unnecessarily complicated, many cars lacked important metadata that would have otherwise allowed them to compete in some events (eg the Mazda 6 Concept should have been classed as FF, instead it was classed as '--'), the music selection was terrible and, in-general, it lost a lot of soul compared to GT3.
seems nobody posted this. Teaser for the Blizzard Mountain
Hey, does anyone here have a good guide or explanation or tutorial or whatever you get what i'm saying for tuning my cars in Forza Horizon 3? I literally have no fucking idea what i'm doing and i feel like i'm missing a lot by leaving my cars at the default.
Hey, does anyone here have a good guide or explanation or tutorial or whatever you get what i'm saying for tuning my cars in Forza Horizon 3? I literally have no fucking idea what i'm doing and i feel like i'm missing a lot by leaving my cars at the default.
Honestly, 90% of the cars in the game are perfectly fine without any tuning. Since the driving model is a bit easier than FM I've never felt like I'm lacking by not having a certain tune (only if you're trying to set good leaderboard times on Rivals, but in that case I'd just download someone else's anyway). Whenever I modify a car I only ever adjust the ride height and the gearing's final drive. Very occasionally I'll soften the springs and/or add camber but that's not often.
I feel like if I actually add suspension parts I have to change the values a bit, as they're 90% of the time way too stiff and my car will over/understeer hard if I don't.
I usually just adjust toe & camber if I feel the car is understeering, but FH3's physics are so basic I don't really bother touching the rest of it.
Big, big, big news for racing games. You guys know how every year since, like, 2011 everyone has been saying stuff like "EA's deal with Porsche will be ending this/next year"? Well now it's officially happening. https://www.gtplanet.net/porsche-pulls-plug-ea-exclusivity/ Basically, here's the main meat of that article:
“According to Sebastian they were also always following what was going on in the gaming industry aside from EA. The license with EA runs out this year, because together they arrived at the realization that the current situation was not desirable anymore.”
"Sebastian" is Porsche's Branded Entertainment Manager. This is about as official word as you can possibly get. With the exception of Horizon 3 (probably) as their inevitable Porsche DLC will have been planned a long time ago, we could be seeing a lot more games follow the trend of AC and pCARS2 of having Porsche at launch.
I feel like if I actually add suspension parts I have to change the values a bit, as they're 90% of the time way too stiff and my car will over/understeer hard if I don't.
If you feel your car's handling is vague, stiffen the front and rear suspensions. If it's too bouncy, soften them. If you're oversteering, stiffen the front suspension and dampers relative to the rear. If you're understeering, stiffen the rear suspension and dampers relative to the front. That's just the basics. FH3 has relatively simplistic physics, so you don't need to give it too much consideration. Obviously when you get into FM6 then you'll absolutely need to consider pretty much everything.
news about maxitune 5dx+, some screens for the new track, Hiroshima and 4 new cars http://dengekionline.com/elem/000/001/432/1432151/#eid1432162 they gonna stream the launch tomorrow, 8 pm japan time i think
seems nobody's talking about the fact that Blizzard Mountain is out for 2 hours
Wait what, it's out?
seems nobody's talking about the fact that Blizzard Mountain is out for 2 hours
I got roped into playing the new GTA stuff with my friends. I'm just starting Blizzard Mountain now if anyone's interested in pics.

All those events really gave the game longevity to me, and I have yet to finish them all tbh. It kind of amazed me the ammount of content it had in that regard. I don't really like the used car market, because I CAN'T FIND THAT FUCKING 22B FUCKING FUCK AAAAAAA, but it is MILES better than GT5's, and I agree 100% on the prize money stuff. GT6 disregards that completely. It felt more like a grind than anything else. Rim market kind of sucked imo. I just can't find nice wheels, but then again, its my own opinion. It isn't bad, it just isn't to my taste. And yes, the garage menu is really good, but thats something that I've really noticed in it. The menus in GT5 are, by far, the very worst in the series. 6 sort of fixed that, but they are still garbage. The menus for 1, 2 and 4 (can't say for 3 because I haven't played it) are great. They have a really nice art style, and you can see people actually gave it thought, what with putting those nice pictures for every manufacturer and their wee stories for example, while 5 and 6 just give you an universal tuning shop and no pretty pictures whatsoever. To me, thats some of the magic of GT4. I just wish we could have the cars of GT6 in GT4. Then I could die happy.

Definitely liking the expansion so far: [t]https://c1.staticflickr.com/1/542/31517232381_6f1d8a7a6e_o.png[/t]
How does it run compared to the base game? Any noticeable slowdowns?
