300/500 are ps4 compatible the TX is xbone compatible, ts-pc is PC only. In terms of strength the g27/29 are just over 2Nm the 500 is slightly stronger than the 300 at 4.4Nm I read the ts-pc is about 6.6Nm a csw v2 is 7.1Nm directdrive is 10-14Nm depending on the motor you pick http://www.edracing.com/edr/Wheel-Torque.php [editline]27th December 2016[/editline] The 500 has a massive base as well,i just desk mount mine and it stays in place ok a rubber nonslip mat would help though, the ts-pc has the same clamp and bolt holes as the other thrustmaster wheels
i'll probably just end up picking up the t500 or maybe a used one if i can find one on the iracing forums, it seems like a nice inbetween. if i wanted to spend 500 bucks on a wheel without pedals or shfiter i would probably just jump up to an even higher tier and build an entire setup
we used to run weekly AC racing, but it hasnt happened much this year, could probably start doing it again though.
I got F1 2016, great game but I'm so terrible at it and I have no wheel. I do enjoy everything in it though, and the Renault is truly a beauty
I'd be up for some iRacing, just got my account renewed.
I got F1 2016, great game but I'm so terrible at it and I have no wheel. arnt the codemasters F1 games way too easy? i bought the first one and remember it being pretty easy, any other game with a f1 car i just 180 as soon as i accelerate
Never played any codemasters F1 game but I have to say I love and hate codemasters. They make dirt rally, which is greatest thing since RBR. But they also make arcade shit like the new grid:s even though they have way better handling in games like dirt 2.
so 40% of Forza Horizon 2 install, decided to play a little of it, and wow it looks much nicer than Horizon 3 in some places [t]http://www.forzamotorsport.net/Handlers/GetPhoto.ashx?game=fh2&id=9171285&full=true[/t]
I wish more horizon games were on pc.

I hope the second DLC map adds some Touge-worthy roads.
I thought the second DLC was just going to be the Porsche vehicles?
I thought the second DLC was just going to be the Porsche vehicles?
Oh really? The icon for the FH3 Expansion pass is pretty misleading then :( I was hoping since the first pack added a whole new area and like 6 vehicles the second would do the same.
I'd imagine both expansions will add new areas, considering the first one did.
Any volcanic islands or really mountainous places down under?
Any volcanic islands or really mountainous places down under?
New Zealand?
i know this is a stupid question but how do you guys prevent your chair from rolling back when heel toeing i don't really even do it in real life because i use a filthy automatic but i feel like i should learn how to heel toe before i buy another manual car [editline]28th December 2016[/editline] i tried taping my chair wheels and that didnt really work so I'm guessing I need to either buy lockable casters or find some sort of cone that my chair wheels fit into
Any volcanic islands or really mountainous places down under?
No typical volcanoes (they are all dormant or extinct). I don't think that there will be another expansion featuring mountains, because they've already done mountains with the whole Blizzard Mountain expansion. I'm honestly at a loss for thinking of a theme for the next expansion; FH3 pretty much features the lot.

But unless they plan to put us in new zealand in some weird earthquake active period, there are not many more themes one can use, indeed.

They've done urban areas with Surfer's Paradise, they've done coastal towns with Byron Bay, they've done regional areas + vineyards with Yarra Valley, and they've done the outback too. I was thinking they could do Tasmania, which does have some mountainous areas and is used for rallying (Targa Tasmania), but the forested area south of Yarra Valley in FH3 already does what Tasmania would be like. There's also the huge range of motorsports tracks in Australia, but that probably wouldn't fit in a Forza Horizon game though. [editline]29th December 2016[/editline] Also have to consider that the new expansion would feature new cars that the main game probably hasn't done before.

That could be a nice and viable setting i think.
doing imola in the skip barber on iracing, on my last lap when someone ahead of me just decides to slam on their brakes on the back straight and come to a complete stop. tried to avoid them and then they steered into me on purpose and blocked me :| went from a 7x race due to OTs to a 13x race with car collision and loss of control... i didn't want that SR anyway i guess

They could of course also expand on the current themes some, that is always an option. I just wish the new expansion will have a larger map than blizzard mountain

I'd push down rather than away like you do in a car seating position.
Trying to get the hang of Dirt, managed to finish the first stage of Monte Carlo with the 90's Subaru with minimal crashes and a not so bad time on clubman level. Kind of proud of that, since playing with this gamepad is a bit of a chore and I gotta be 100% focused on the track. Then again, that subbie is pretty easy to handle. Tried going with the Sport Quattro, didn't do as well, but it was a different stage. And lets not talk about hillclimbing and rallycross... And those really tight dirt stages... Aside from that, what a mad game. The engines roaring through the stages? Delicious!
Does anyone here remember the Tokyo Xtreme Racer series? Otherwise also known as Shutokou Battle or Import Tuner Challenge for the 360. A link to a countdown was posted on their official Twitter yesterday. http://www.sb-x.jp/ If this countdown is related to a new game, then it'll be the first release since 2006 with Import Tuner Challenge. What's interesting to note is the link name, which says SBX. In Japan, Import Tuner Challenge was released as Shutokou Battle X. Now I heard from some that it might just be a mobile game instead since this was also mentioned on Famitsu App, a mobile game website. But I disagree, mainly due to three reasons: 1)What kind of developer creates a countdown page for a mobile game? Most of the time countdown pages are for major events and/or releases, something I can't see a mobile game being. 2)Shutokou Battle X, or Import Tuner Challenge, is a console release. 3)Genki (the developer of the series) has been listed as a PS4 developer since 2013 and yet until now they have nothing to show for it. Why would they bother spending money getting a license to develop games for the PS4 if they aren't doing anything with it? finally got the aerokit i wanted for SLK [t]http://68.media.tumblr.com/84b6cfa7b31d189e03abbce86286aa47/tumblr_oixtk3eE8J1sg73pbo2_1280.jpg[/t]
Does anyone else here have DriveClub Bikes? I'm actually really enjoying it; it feels very rewarding and pleasant to race in. Also makes everything old (the environments) seem new again. Eg you have to take each and every corner differently than if you were in a car. There's a trophy where you need to compete in a six person race online, but I think the game is dead sadly :( [editline]30th December 2016[/editline] Also sort of a different topic, but does anyone else find it odd in the career mode of most racing games, that you're travelling to race tracks all across the world as soon as you begin your racing career? That's bothered me in Forza and Gran Turismo quite a bit. One of the few things that I liked about Project CARS was that you started out at the national level in a minor series (eg UK or US) before getting contracts to go to the regional level, and then later the international level. Made you feel like you were an actual racing driver with a real career. Sadly that game only had one Australian track though.

You start off/get a certain amount of money every season at the beginning and have to compete in entry level series (Karts, Formula Ford, etc.), get results, compete for sponsors, move up only when you're able, etc. If done correctly it could be really interesting, especially if they modeled the car's reliability and parts, it could be almost like a roguelike/xcom, but for racing.
