PM'd
Thanks a tonne man! I'll probably wreck millions worth of race cars, but I'm sure it will be worthwhile!
Starting to really hate small circuit races in FH3, the AI blatantly cheats whenever there is a small course with lots of tight corners. Part of the reason why i have stuck to long races lately. Was the horizon AI this cheaty in the previous games?
Fyi you need a phd to set up the ffb on pCars the fuck's a scoop knee?

I just finished a championship of four circuit races against 'unbeatable' difficulty AI, and I won every single race without any restarts. I know the AI sometimes cheats in head-to-head races where they disregard the GPS and head straight for the finish, but I've never seen them 'cheat' in the proper races.

What me and a few others have noticed is that AI cars will stick to the racing lines and be more or less glued to it as if they are on rails, and they have no problem taking any turn, in any weather condition in speeds exceeding 300kpm. It isn't as noticeable in A and below, but starting at S1, and especially S2 and X, depending on the will of the AI a race with many corners may just be impossible to win, because one or more drivatars will gain stats which no car in the game can possibly attain. Come to think of it, it is only really a problem inS1, S2 and X. But a good example of that is extreme track toy races, specifically using the new radical RXC vs an AI one. I need to slow down to around 100kpm to barely take a very sharp corner, and i mean barely as in, the fastest i can go while still staying on the road. Meanwhile the AI radical zooms away at 200kpm+ glued to the race line with so much space to go he could have gone through the turn at a higher speed with ease.

I mostly only race in C and B classes.
[t]http://drive.google.com/uc?export=view&id=0B-Z8F3TJW-A-MzRnMUoxbDBSN1E[/t] maybe it's better to keep this car stock, but i still need to change the mirrors gotta focus on aero D when i got the time
I know in some of the higher classes you race against cars that you can't actually upgrade to that class
I know in some of the higher classes you race against cars that you can't actually upgrade to that class
The sadness of seeing AI with late S2 modded warthogs. Why can't we upgrade the warthog? I want a competitive warthog.
PCars has been pretty fun so far, but for some reason my G27 seemingly randomly decides to go off centre to the left after a bit. Anyone know about this issue?
I've had that a few times with my wheel before, where it finds the centre maybe 10-15 degrees to the left. I've no idea what causes it, normally after I've had an off or on Forza from restarting a race midway through a spin, might be something to do with it sending force and then it all of sudden being cut. But it's not something ieve ever been able to replicate. Unplugging and plugging the wheel fixes it, most games are fine with it being done in the pause menu
Alright, good to know. Hopefully this is an issue that gets fixed in the future.
It's a hardware fault with the 25/27 maybe even the 29, the encoder wheel cracks, mine broke in under a week and Logitech didn't want to know so I switched to thrustmaster
It's never been a major issue for me, it happens maybe once every 10 or so hours of play
In my case it's certainly not hardware. In PCars it happens every so often, mostly after a spin or crash. I originally tried the wheel on NFS Shift Unleashed and I didn't have that issue at all. Some people have been saying that this has been an issue since a certain update.
I know the AI sometimes cheats in head-to-head races where they disregard the GPS and head straight for the finish, but I've never seen them 'cheat' in the proper races.
You can also do this. :v:
You can also do this. :v:
But what a player cannot do is that but during a race. Once lost a race in an 8 shaped track because instead of going through it like normal, the AI decided it wanted to take a right turn in the crossing and essentially skipped half the lap.

In regular races, the AI will always attempt to go to the next checkpoint, but doesn't necessarily need to like a player. I've seen it happen a few times; the AI took a huge jump, and landed near a checkpoint. They'd swerve to try to get to it but would veer off when they got close and started driving to the next one.

They can also completely ignore parts of an actual big race and just cut half the track if they want.
Admeister wherever you are. I've just seen your post on reddit about swapping engines. Is it allowing you to swap the engine from any car or just using any of the engine swaps that are available. I sort of wish you could put smaller engines in cars. I'd want to stick ~100hp 1.6 in the Sunbeam Tiger so its closer to an Alpine

I could put a Veyron's W16 engine in the Reliant for example. I could also make an entirely new engine that doesn't already exist in game but that takes a LOT of editing and time. Which car is the 1.6 from?
No idea, I'd have to jog my memory. But the idea of swapping smaller/less powerful engines in has often interested me on Forza as it normally only packages the hottest versions of cars. There's a good number of cars in Forza that I've driven, but rather the versions everybody drove. T10 would make me happiest if they added a mk1 facelift Ford Focus with the 2l in Ghia trim
Are you guys still on the dev build? I hadn't played for a few weeks and missed out on it, guessing there's no way to get back on it now?
Are you guys still on the dev build? I hadn't played for a few weeks and missed out on it, guessing there's no way to get back on it now?
I'm still on it and have it backed up/packaged, it's just that letting it out would obviously be pretty risky.

Would you even be able to install the package easily? I really want to find a copy of this dev build.
Would you even be able to install the package easily? I really want to find a copy of this dev build.
There were a couple of manual steps, but yeah it's pretty easy to install.
So I've finally been able to somewhat consistently run clean-ish laps around Silverstone in Project Cars. Not fast laps, mind you (2:21 in a GT3 car), but clean-ish laps. Still scared to put other cars on the track tho.
