ah, went to the effort of neatly modifying my desk to fit my g27. everything looking clean and good, clamp the wheel down and for whatever reason everything seems to work but the steering. it'll spin around on the motors when first plugged in, but turning the wheel does nothing ingame/in the logitech profiler (you can see a visualisation of the wheel spinning usually) and I can't feel any FFB in a game
fuck
It might have something to do with a Windows 10 update which also automatically updated the Logitech profiler for G29/G920 compatibility, but screwed up the compatibility of the G27 with Windows 10.
Here is a discussion and guide about how you can fix it. That is, if it is the same issue as that it recognises your wheel as a different wheel. I still use Windows 8.1 myself, so I can't help you much more outside of just showing this guide.

When I first booted it up it was showing the original logitech driving force instead of my g27, but I reinstalled the drivers and ran their WheelDriverCleanup tool and then it started showing the g27

Just read your link and yeah it sounds like that, so I guess my other issue isn't related sadly :(

I'm going to try and file a warranty claim, problem is I've had the thing open more than once to see if I could make the clamps open wider or replace them with some third party stuff. There's a stripped screw stuck in the base which shows I've had it open/voids the warranty so I'm sorta hoping they just send a new one out without me sending in my broken one. Worth a shot I guess
I've finally finished the tour mode of Driveclub VR, and the game was actually pretty good. Image quality is somewhat blurry, but that's probably for the best (so you don't notice the lower level-of-detail). But even then, the graphics weren't bad at all. The controls work really well, because you can tilt to steer with the DS4. But it's all the small things in the game, like drifting a Wombat Typhoon, viewing a replay of that drift event from the passenger's seat, and even stuff like watching yourself actually shift the gear lever into the right position, that make the game incredible.
I wish I could say similar things for Dirt Rally VR though. I really enjoyed the regular Dirt Rally in so many ways, but the VR version is severely let down by the lack of tilt to steer (so unlike in Driveclub VR, you have to use the analog stick). The lack of it just completely ruins the immersion, and so I've only played it for like ten minutes before giving up. I've posted on the Codemasters forum, asking whether they could add that feature, but I dunno if they read their own forum. I hope they implement it because the VR DLC cost $20, and it just hasn't been worth it.

Fixed it somehow. Saw a lot online about broken transcoder wheels so thought I'd open it up as the warranty is already void. Hard to explain but the "track" that the wheel turns on was sorta jamming at one point and causing the startup calibration to not work. I nudged it a tiny bit and it started moving along it freely again, and plugged it in with all the casing off to check and magically it started working fine
Actually I'm fairly certain we've never done any forza events, I don't think you missed out on anything
on the day of release a good few, like 8 or 10 people got together and fucked around in free mode but that's about the only thing I remember.
If anyone else has Driveclub VR, I've made an open club called FPVR (Driveclub clubs are incompatible with Driveclub VR clubs). Even if you don't want to race together in it, it would be cool to level up the club so as to unlock the club-only cars.
i don't get POD

rollcage is better
One of the rubber feet on my T150 came ff and has disappeared, anyone know if it's possible to buy rubber feet replacements?
You know, I always wondered why I never met BF in game on Forza 6, but then I decided to try ABC's and he's immediately in that game. nice

Haha. Straya cunt
I don't play Forza 6 online too often though. Mostly on weekends when other people also play, but even then, I muck about in Horizon 3 and Driveclub on PS4 as well
[editline]25th February 2017[/editline]
When I'm in Forza 6 I mostly do ABCs and GT endurance. I wish there was a hopper kind of like ABCs but for P, R and S cars, but with the distance and pitstops of the GT endurance hopper

I absolutely loved POD as a kid, and it was the first game I played where the developers actually released cars and tracks post-release for you to download and install. That was super cool. This was back in the like modem and 56k days so it took a minute to download a whole megabyte of car, and a few minutes for a 5 MB track.
I haven't played it since then, but I don't recall there being much like it at the time. It was just a really well put together racing game that also had kickin rad 3DFX graphics, in a time when graphics accelerators were still relatively new so it was a big selling point. I always loved the super cheesy intro and setting of the game too, as well as the car designs in general.
Looking back at it now, it's a pretty unremarkable from a gameplay standpoint, and the graphics don't really impress or have aged especially well. I can see why somebody playing the game now would be totally unimpressed.
Looks like Kunos finally got their shit together and got the positional audio working in VR
Did a pretty good lap time, I think.

Why are your headlights up, isn't that just going to cause drag?
but can you drift it
Why are your headlights up, isn't that just going to cause drag?
I don't think pop-ups affect drag in AC. Good thing too since headlights in AC are useless and the car looks cooler with the pop-ups up and I like seeing them there, which is why I have them on

I think I did a good job in the two high speed left handers in the first half
Has anyone had issues in FH3 causing you to drop out of multiplayer races? My roommate got the game and we're trying to play together, but he keeps D/Cing.
We're both wired to the same router. I have no custom firewall settings or port forwarding for FH3 on my computer. Googling it has people suggest unplugging/disabling microphone, which I don't do, as well as changing group policy concerning IPv4>v6 translation. I also opened up several ports the game uses for him to no avail. He can usually last most of a single race before the game lags and drops him shortly after.

I recorded myself playing Driveclub VR to match this, but I seriously have insane neck twitches that you all would think I'm a damn freak haha.
Can someone please recommend me a wheel and pedal combo for <100$ that I can use for project cars on my PC?
Thank you so much in advance. Seems like so many options.
I can recommend a second hand Logitech Driving Force GT / g27. Thrustmaster T150 is also a good option.
I can confirm, 2nd hand G27 is a good choice. I managed to get mine for just a bit over 100 bucks and had to fix the optical encoder, but now it's a dream to use.
Double FIA World Rallycross Champion Petter Solberg and rally driver Kris Meeke have both been involved in the development of DiRT 4. In our latest video they discuss their thoughts on Your Stage, a game-changing stage creation system which means players will be able to generate a near-infinite amount of rally stages at the press of a button.
There is some Rallycross footage in it as well, showing both the Ford Focus RS WRX and the Seat Ibiza Cupra WRX. YourStage seems promising too.
Also, today's Dirt 4 Roadbook is about Landrush. Might be pretty fun in multiplayer.
Such a great feature imo. Fixes the problem of memorizing tracks after playing for a longer time.
my hype for dirt 4 is building but meanwhile i've been playing rallisport challenge 2 again after digging out my old xbox
it's a shame it was an original xbox exclusive, but not backwards compatible, so it's a little tricky nowadays. it's really an excellent rally game if you ever do get the chance to play it
What in the world, I used to have infrequent stutter and slowdowns in Horizon 3, I just tried putting textures on low from previously medium and now I can pretty much max out the game in everything else.
I guess my HDD/CPU couldn't handle the texture streaming well, I have this problem in other games too, despite having enough VRAM.
first i love the viper, now i love the charger

Makes FPRally great again. More of a test of driver skill than who's got the best car and learned the track inside out.

I for some reason thought I could match or beat this lap time quite easily, just went out for a first run and did a 9:53 :vs:
I did run without ABS though as it seems the car doesn't have that from the factory, might try again with it on like yourself. I suck at driving without abs because I have no confidence in my braking meaning I brake way way way early for a lot of corners
[editline]4th March 2017[/editline]
We should totally have some sort of weekly AC lap time challenge, dunno how we'd stop people just lying with times but would be quite fun
I wish Dirt Rally VR on PS4 had tilt to steer, because it works so well in Driveclub VR; the lack of the option just ruins the immersion and experience. I've already posted about it on their forums, and sent them a tweet about it, and it's not just me who's been asking for it. Hopefully they can implement it.
