[QUOTE=zerosix;51913548]We should totally have some sort of weekly AC lap time challenge, dunno how we'd stop people just lying with times but would be quite fun[/QUOTE] ohhh shit would be finally a reason for me to load AC more
[QUOTE=zerosix;51913548]I for some reason thought I could match or beat this lap time quite easily, just went out for a first run and did a 9:53 :vs: I did run without ABS though as it seems the car doesn't have that from the factory, might try again with it on like yourself. I suck at driving without abs because I have no confidence in my braking meaning I brake way way way early for a lot of corners [editline]4th March 2017[/editline] We should totally have some sort of weekly AC lap time challenge, dunno how we'd stop people just lying with times but would be quite fun[/QUOTE] Tip: change the tyres from Street 90's tyres to normal Street.
I'm totally up for an AC time attack It'd give me an excuse to drive on actual tracks too
it's just a shame the track library in AC is so small. i've only come across one genuine high waulity track mod, that being donnington I still play pcars just for the tracks. oulton park, watkins glen, cadwell
Horizon 3 March cars: [quote]1992 Ford Falcon GT 2017 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 2015 Jaguar XES 1983 Volvo 242 Turbo Evolution 1995 Nissan NISMO GT-R LM 1959 BMW 507 1972 Land Rover Series III[/quote] We finally got the EB! A gaudy Ford to match the equally-gaudy HSV GTS-R! (a shame that it's not the EL though). [t]https://preview.netcarshow.com/Ford-EB_II_Falcon_GT-1992-800-01.jpg[/t] I don't see the point of the new Camaro because now there's just too many of the recent models of them: 2015 Z/28, 2016 SS, and now the 2017 ZL1. They're all too-familiar to each other. Jags are always welcomed, a Group A Volvo is especially welcomed, not sure about the GT-R LM because there's already an R33 and it probably has a wide body kit + RWD conversion. That BMW is perhaps the most beautiful BMW I've ever seen (unlike the clone army these days) and I'm indifferent on the Land Rover.
The R33 doesn't already have a widebody, so the R33 LM is welcome. Also, even if it did have a widebody, it'd just be a generic one with widened arches, whereas what we're getting is this beauty: [t]https://c1.staticflickr.com/4/3213/2902295258_a431087d9e.jpg[/t]

I have a 97 R33 ingame that drifts like a madman and i'ma need this instead

I went into gt6 for a few drifts and decided to take a look at the S3 for boner reasons (dont ask) The fuckers forgot to give it a blinker light to its right side holy shit.
It really annoys me how Codemasters are dead silent on the prospect of tilt to steer controls on the DS4 (as opposed to analog sticks - which are unimmersive as hell) for Dirt Rally VR on PS4. Like I can understand if they don't want to implement it because they are focusing on Dirt 4, or if they actually tried it in playtesting and it just doesn't work. But, despite me and others asking about it on their Twitter, their forums etc, we've heard absolutely nothing. They'll just skip over replying to those tweets, or ignore those forum posts. As if they don't exist. If they aren't going to implement it, I'd much rather that they at least come out and say 'yeah we aren't going to do it' to even just one tweet. Literally just seven words. It's really dampened my spirits about getting Dirt 4.
i heard several reports of mt5 available now at US arcades, might want to check your nearby arcade for one [editline]9th March 2017[/editline] it says "camelot golfland" and lakewood right now

Been trying out project cars some, what's with cars sometimes mid turn just jerking in a direction? I've had it happen a lot of times when i am trying to take a turn only for the car do suddenly jerk in the direction i'm turning and right into a wall.

It's happened to me once or twice too. Might be different than your problem, but there is one bump or something with the geometry in the track so If I take a certain line, I lose control. Do the ai even worry about tire temp? They seem to go all out on the first lap in practice and quali while I'm trying to not crash.
played 5dx a bit today, really fun arcade game but the machines had run out of the bandai pass things so unless i can get one by traveling to bangkok its not worth throwing money at the machines [editline]10th March 2017[/editline] are the cars pretty even? i played with the 240z mostly and its time was just behind the online highscore for the first stage, the amg had a worse highscore which surprised me

[QUOTE=killerzombie;51936560]Maybe the tires are cold?[/QUOTE] Nope, even happens with all the tire stuff turned off. I can't even drive formula one cars since the moment i hit the accelerator, they spin wildly in a circle even when nothing is pressed, same for the Zondas.

And it's not 'that's just the game's realistic physics, yo'; their default values for deadzones, sensitivities etc is all messed up. Apparently there's a tilt to steer thing for PS4 now, so I'm going to re-install it and see if it make things better. [editline]11th March 2017[/editline] I mean, I've done things like win 2 hours at Le Mans, so you can get used to it, but yeah it's not as pleasant as it ought to be.
iRacing dirt is coming March 29th for those who don't know already.

I dunno if anyone played the NFS Shift games but it's similar to those but a bit less so, same devs too... [editline]11th March 2017[/editline] The shift games had lovely content but the handling was weird and suffered a fair bit of input lag on consoles

But yeah, like Doozle said, it feels like they have no traction or contact with the ground, it's quite bad.

playing gran turismo 4 for the first time, haven't even driven an inch yet and i'm already in love with the whole "presentation" of the game, as far as the menus, music, etc. also there's something about the way the cars are modeled that just looks so nice to me even though it's not technically the most detailed or advanced graphics what have i been missing for all these years

Gran Turismo 3 was so much more pleasant and nostalgic, but of course it only has a fraction of the cars and tracks that Gran Turismo 4 has. The quality of the car models (and very importantly, the shaders) in GT3 and GT4 were impressive for their time. They probably look so good because the environments and UI do look dated as hell, then there's the car models which still stand up quite well.

I'd say GT3\GT4 on PS2 emulator with scaled resolution looks pretty
