Damn, The Crew's graphics update is more intensive than I thought, and now it's confirmed to include dynamic weather. Roll on November. [t]http://i.imgur.com/FpUKOq0.png[/t] [t]http://i.imgur.com/f26R6GL.jpg[/t] Confirmed to include PBR among other new effects, I posted more about it in a GAF thread here.
Hot damn. That looks frigging great. While the game was okay looking, it definitely isn't up to par with modern graphics. I'm glad Ivory Tower is this committed to the game.
but the graphics weren't the problem with the crew... the physics were.
and so was the number of cars available.
and so was the number of cars available.
physics still come before the cars.
has anyone had a followup email from WMD yet?
but the graphics weren't the problem with the crew... the physics were.
I personally don't have a problem with the physics. Besides getting fucked over 90 percent of the time when you're offroading and hit a tiny bump I actually like it. It's supposed to be more arcade like than simulation. The number of cars available is the main problem I have with the game, and that I believe is a product of Ubi's obsession with DLCS.
is there a facepunch club for driveclub?
has anyone had a followup email from WMD yet?

Our payments to Members will then follow on or about 28 August We will notify you of the total Revenues earned and received by us and the Fees due to you by the end of the month following the end of each calendar quarter (i.e at the end of August for the second quarter) and arrange for payment within 7 days after that.

what's this about? If you invested in Project Cars way back when, then WMD is supposed to pay out the earnings that they promised investors on August 28th.
The crews physics are really wonky but i find them entertaining for doing stuff like this
[editline]7th August 2015[/editline] Probably the first game to feature FXX K.
driveclub is a bit frustrating, faster than x/clean lap awards only counting on the last lap is stupid also if anyone plays drive club and isnt in a crew do you want to create one to unlock to club vehicles?
Someone made a decent port of the C1 Inner Loop for Assetto Corsa Both sides of the highway is drivable.
I've been looking for that track because I want to drive down awesome Tokyo highways, but all the links I can find to it have been deleted. Need for Speed Shift had a small Tokyo map and it was one of my favorites in the game. It's a shame Assetto Corsa can't do night time, because a night version of that would be badass.
I persume that you're a fan of the Tokyo Xtreme Racers series right?
I've heard of them, but never got a chance to play them. They sound like exactly what I'm looking for.
6 min for a single lap? Holy shit.
I'm finally starting to get the hang of drifting after a couple days of fucking around! [t]http://i.imgur.com/4JpCEVc.jpg[/t]
Is there a good steering wheel for PC with a resonable price ? Or I have to buy a 200€ one ?
i paid about 230€ for my t500, pedals and the gte rim
Logitech MOMO is nice, I think I paid $65 or so for mine and it's served well as a quality wheel for the price. http://www.amazon.com/Logitech-Force-Feedback-Racing-Wheel/dp/B00006HYLN
Or Logitech Driving Force GT.
Is there a good steering wheel for PC with a resonable price ? Or I have to buy a 200€ one ?
Driving Force GT, hands down. It beats everything in its price range. The next best option would be a 200€ one, but I personally don't see the point. 900deg rotation with superb force feedback. If you don't like the plastic pedals, they can be replaced. Make sure to return it if you get one that's loud. (loud as in you hear a TAC-TACTTAC, the ffb is supposed to make some noise when it moves your wheel around).
Logitech MOMO is nice, I think I paid $65 or so for mine and it's served well as a quality wheel for the price. http://www.amazon.com/Logitech-Force-Feedback-Racing-Wheel/dp/B00006HYLN
The MOMO is discontinued Best entry wheel is the DFGT, has the same force feedback as the g25 g27 (and I assume?) the new g29 but has less bells and whistles (no h shifter, no clutch, weak pedals that don't have much resistance)
the dfgt is discontinued as well, the ones still available cost twice what they used to you can get a g27 for a little more but id recommend a t300 or 500 the pedals feel better and the FFB isnt notchy and there's no centre deadzone like with the g27

Because this is what I found http://www.reddit.com/r/granturismo/comments/2c6omb/logitech_sale_support_says_the_the_driving_force/ Logitech representative says that it's not true. [editline]8th August 2015[/editline] They seem to be more expensive than I remembered though, you got that right. 100€ is the lowest I find here in Finland. I probably will end up buying one myself. Can't stand the rattle that my old one makes.
Finally found a place that still hosts the Shuto Expressway track for Assetto Corsa. It's really fun to drive around, although sadly it's as empty as you would expect given Assetto Corsa is a racing sim. [t]http://i.imgur.com/gFicvzh.jpg[/t] [t]http://i.imgur.com/PulTV66.jpg[/t]
I've heard of them, but never got a chance to play them. They sound like exactly what I'm looking for.
Sadly, your only way of playing some of those classics is if you have a PS2, a Dreamcast, a Xbox 360 or a PS2 Emulator. I recommend Tokyo Xtreme Racer Zero for the PS2, the graphics may be dated, but the driving is fun and you can set the responsiveness of your vehicle. It allows for gear ratio tuning, body kit installment and a lot more. Second is Import Tuner Challenge for the 360. Essentially still a TXR cept published under a different name and a different publisher (dev is still the same). Graphics are more polished, but the map size and number of cars available (18) is dissappointing. Tokyo Xtreme Racers 3 has the largest map of all the TXR, it has the C1, Shinkanjo, Wangan, Yokohane and the Yokohane Loop. There's also a custom vinyl editor which I think is tedious and time consuming, the driving is also weird since the cars slide around corners.
