the spec racer fords on iracing are on a base track so i gave them a try and they are WAY more fun than anything else i have raced on the game.
the spec racer fords on iracing are on a base track so i gave them a try and they are WAY more fun than anything else i have raced on the game.
Make sure you get the good base setup. The default setup is stupid and makes the car more unstable than it should be. Lower the front/rear tire pressures to 22/21, and make sure the front/rear sway bars are set to stiff/soft respectively. The other big gotcha with the SRF is don't shift at redline. In general, shift around 5600 RPM to get the most out of the engine torque. The lower the gear, the higher you can safely shift (~6000 from first to second for example) but once you get into 3-4-5 gears, around 5600 is best.
at this point i want the current season to end so i can race trucks, if i could go fast in late models it wouldnt be so bad they are great for improving sr but i always lose tons of irating if i race them
When's the season end for iRacing? My subscription expired and I've decided to not renew until the new season starts.
week 12 starts on 1st september but theres week 13 as well
Alright, thanks!
does anyone here have a direct drive wheel like accuforce or OSW? i was thinking it might be nice to switch once i get a cockpit, id like to know how direct drive compares to belt driven wheels and if its worth it
this thread is surprisingly dead should i go for the RUF cup or the GT1 championship? im thinking the ruf because i can use the car in a lot of future series (namely blancpain sprint) maybe even indycar im not sure
I'm working a summer job and am currently on a laptop, so I cant really play any of the games I usually play. [editline]21st August 2015[/editline] Next month I should have a gpu on my rig and the dirt rally pvp update should be out, so that'll be fun.
i dont have much of an opinion on road stuff but id suggest waiting for w13 so you can see the s3 schedule
Hate those periods when I'm really bad at RBR. Yesterday there was difficult Germany rally and I had those frustrating crashes into spectator that you cannot prevent and they net you 30 seconds. I had two crashes, after that with a fucked mood I just ate random road separator which caused radiator overheat later and made me fucking crushed, I just went into 2 corner on 120KPH with no fucks given. sometimes RBR is shit
There's a community run equivalent to safety rating now for Assetto Corsa: http://www.minorating.com/ Servers are starting to adopt it. It does exactly what it sounds like. You get a rating based on how few collisions you have during a race. It's hard to tell how much of an impact this will have on Assetto Corsa, especially given its low player count (relative to iRacing) but either way it's a great first step towards making pub racing good. I tend to play mostly AC these days because it already has the best pubracing outside of iRacing.
If I'm correct, there's a NFS 2015 demo for consoles right now.
https://www.dirtgame.com/blog/4974 new dirt update, it sounds like they finally added clutch to sequential
If I'm correct, there's a NFS 2015 demo for consoles right now.
I don't see anything about it so far. Where have you heard this?
https://www.dirtgame.com/blog/4974 new dirt update, it sounds like they finally added clutch to sequential
Also multiplayer for rallyX only(for now) I'm still working but you lot should have an event
I don't see anything about it so far. Where have you heard this?
I saw several videos of it on Youtube, it got timer tho. [editline]26th August 2015[/editline] I dunno how BlackPanthaa got one.

[editline]26th August 2015[/editline] I dunno how BlackPanthaa got one.
EA Brought him and some other youtube people to gamescom to play it. There's a disturbing lack of people driving the Hakosuka in their videos though, even though it is a car in the demo. Watching his videos, Spirit Rei is confirmed in the game. If I can make an Odyvia I will literally drive nothing else. :excited: [t]http://i.imgur.com/S6qvz9e.jpg[/t]

I tried Drive Club but the handling was hella arcadey, super pretty game though. Also add me if you have a PS4, my thingy is 'NikoWZRD', all I really play is Destiny though atm

I think it's a good game but even Driveclub is realistic in comparison.
Ah, damn. Still no good ETA on GT7 too, right? I had Rivals for the 360 before, it's pretty fun but I was hoping we'd have some racing sims on PS4 by now.
Ah, damn. Still no good ETA on GT7 too, right?
Polyphony said GT7 would take less time to make [sp]you better release the course maker already[/sp], there's also some kind of Playstation event this December where it might be announced.
I have no faith in Gran Turismo any more after GT5 had "1000" cars (way too many of which were different models of fucking Nissan Skylines or models ported from the PS2) and had physics from 1999, and then GT6 was barely different. Playing Forza 4 after Gran Turismo 5 really made me feel like Polyphony just didn't really know what they were doing since GT5 had Standard/Premium cars, and Forza 4 just had cars, all with fully-modeled interiors, and after GT6 and all the stuff I've heard about broken promises in that, Gran Turismo 7 will really have to impress to make me desire it in any form. I'm far more excited for Forza 6 because Turn 10, while they do have pretty obnoxious DLC, at least doesn't fucking port models from Forza 2 because "We don't have enough time". What GT7 needs is vastly improved AI (Make them actually race instead of drive in a line), have every car fully modeled for the PS4, interior and exterior, and balance the game better so Japanese cars aren't superior to like... Nearly everything else. I mean cars in Forza can feel kinda same-y but at least I'm not fucking myself over by buying a car that wasn't made in Japan [editline]28th August 2015[/editline] Boy that turned into a bit of a rant eh? I didn't mean it to, and I don't hate Gran Turismo, I just feel like it doesn't have nearly the effort put into it across the board that the Forza series does. :v:
That new NFS game is coming out in November right? How are we feeling on that? I'm personally just very excited for the Rocket Bunny parts, '73 Skyline, E30 and all the Silvias. c:

I know NFS seems to be the cool thing to hate on but I've genuinely enjoyed all of them. It's the most customisation I've seen in a LONG time in a game, can't wait to make a Sileighty and see what options are available for the Porsche 993.
I'm worried because none of the Frostbite Need for Speeds have ever felt as good as the ones before them, but I'm remaining hopeful that it'll be a good game regardless. I was never a big fan of the Underground era Need for Speed, but if it's good I'll probably check it out. I don't have a quick arcade fun racing fix at the moment.

I'm super excited to see what the E30 gets. Hope to see some FC action though. That new camera they used for the gameplay trailer made me naesuous though.

I just can't believe that they're marketing that new camera so hard, its so shit lol
I just can't wait to have this car in a game finally: http://www.igcd.net/vehicle.php?id=75036 Linked since I can only find pics on IGCD which doesn't allow hotlinking. I assume that if we start with the Carrera we'll be able to make the Turbo, RS, GT2, and so on out of it which is exciting.
