SimRacing General: successor to Forza/Gran Turismo/Racing thread - Games

Yeah, I played a bit of GT6 and the sound design was absolutely horrible. I really really wanted to like GT6, since I grew up on the old games, but it was definitely a struggle. The AI was so shit, all the cars sounds like balls, and the general quality of the vehicles was very hit-and-miss.

[editline]30th August 2015[/editline] At least all the cars are the same graphical quality, too. Can't say that about GT5

Can't say that about GT5[/QUOTE] gt2 and gt4 are the good GT's for sure, had a load of fun with both of them, but GT5 and GT6 did not feel nice compared to what was on the market by that point.

DIRT Rally's PVP is surprisingly playable for me despite shitty internet, snatched those achievements on second try. Maybe we could try to have a race someday, but Phantom Pain is coming.

Honestly though, that new NFS looks fun as fuck if it weren't for the gymkhana. That shit is not what I want to do in a racing game. I think drifting is fine, I am a huge fan of rally after all, but gymkhana, I don't really care, for a Motorsport sure, it is alright, but for video games it isn't really that great of a mechanic as far as I have experienced.

maximum tune is rad shame the only machine in the area for MT3 got replaced by some kiddie ball throwing thing :c Really wish you could play it on console or something.

not to mention the current maximum tune is available only in asia, they probably grew tired of maintaining worldwide, especially updates

Speaking of maxitune 5, I already lost count of how much I've spent on my card, got like 15 cars, most of them are old cars. And not to mention it costs IDR 12,500 per game, and you're not getting the full thing without a maxed-out car.

Dirt Rally... I kinda wanna drive the other cars on the rallycross tracks too, not just the dedicated rallycross cars that are assigned to me. Not sure why they didn't think of that.

And we know how stingy Honda is with their license to use their cars in any racing games. I know we had Honda in NFSU 1&2 but there's no police presence in those games(which might be why Honda is comfortable putting their cars in). This might be the first time Honda allowed the use of their cars in games with police pursuit.
