I might've spoiled myself on the surprise for the full game, but it's too nice of a car to pass up. [sp]You can also turn it into a GT2[/sp]
There's also one in No Limits btw, will post pics of bodykits once i got it
So is the NFS beta any good? I'm hearing mostly negative to mixed opinions on it.
anyone know if iracing down for an update? i didnt see one scheduled but i havnt been on for a few days, i know there have been performance problems this season so maybe thats why
So is the NFS beta any good? I'm hearing mostly negative to mixed opinions on it.
I need to know this as well, I didn't get in the beta :( The customization looks hella tasty but is the driving any fun? I'll probably buy it anyway for the E30 and Volvo 242 lol
I don't understand how people can get like -15/-20 times constantly in dirt rally. I'm lucky if i get like +15
I don't understand how people can get like -15/-20 times constantly in dirt rally. They seem to be way more beatable in the Group B 4WD Class, but that might be because the Peugeot 205 T16 Evo 2 is pretty much in a class of its own.
I have some impressions of NFS. I'd say the main ones are: - Handling feels rather nice, if a bit understeery when using Grip. Seems like middle/not-full-grip is the way to go. - AI has some mad rubberbanding. - Customisation is fucking amazing, and almost makes the game worth it as a car dresser-upper. I never realised that spacing and stancing were possible. Not a fan of cambering wheels but spacing them is sexy as fuck. - Money is very easy to come by. Dunno if that's a good thing or a bad thing. At one point I had around $6,000, I did like 5 or 6 races and could afford the ~$45,000 Porsche 993. - The cheesy FMVs are surprisingly likable. I dunno why, the characters are all pretty weird and very obviously acting. There's something just appealing about the badness of it. - The annoyance that was NFS Rivals cops is basically gone. It almost felt like I had to actively seek out a police chase if there wasn't a scripted one in a race. You can also pull over and pay a fine if you're early in the chase. - Sounds are nice, regardless of whether they're realistic or not. I can't remember being able to HEAR the fact that I installed a turbo/supercharger in the older NFSes. - Graphics. Holy shit. I played the beta on Xbox One, which of course will be the worst looking version, and I couldn't believe what I was seeing. The lighting is absolutely perfect. There's a slight bit of film grain that surprisingly enhances the visuals, it takes your eyes off the jaggies and gives a slightly softer look as if you're watching a blu ray movie, if that makes sense. - Time of day ranges from pitch black night to dawn. The dawn looks utterly beautiful, but it seems to jump between them depending on location as opposed to "playing" through them. - Volvo 242, Porsche 993, Sileighty = <3

I'm so hyped and I can't even get the game. All this, makes me feel really happy. And I've played Need for Speed Undercover I know what rubberbanding is. Also the GTA V race rubberbanding of the AI is even worse, you can see players teleport on the minimap. And I want that fucking Sileighty and 71 Porsche 911 T.
Also the GTA V race rubberbanding of the AI is even worse, you can see players teleport on the minimap.
It's actually pretty fun to exploit this. The rubberbanding happens the split second you take your eyes off the car, so what I like to do is: 1. Be Franklin 2. Have car godmode on 3. Use Franklin's ability, use trainer speed boost to send a car up into the air 4. Look away and observe the map showing the car apparently bending space and time to warp back onto the ground
So I got Dirt Rally yesterday, rallycross is so fucking fun even though I'm absolute shit at it It gives me a reason to wear my shirts from Höljes too, so that's nice
are arcade racers ok for this thread? if so.

Speaking of which, today was the first time where I wrecked the car in a daily, which is also the first time I wrecked a car since the Pikes Peak Update. Apparently suffering two tyre blowouts shortly after eachother were enough to make the Escort Mk2 break down with the finish line in sight. Not even a warning from the co-driver noting that the car was about to break down or that the other front tyre also got a puncture. :why:
Finally got the 993, they're going all out with it [t]https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/s/8efwd5oqplj7b6d/Screenshot_2015-10-06-08-06-53.png[/t][t]https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/s/xl86admkbhzo606/Screenshot_2015-10-06-08-44-05.png[/t][t]https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/s/v5x9b95kb3uhfix/Screenshot_2015-10-06-08-45-56.png[/t] [t]https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/s/q65l0zf9l36rprs/Screenshot_2015-10-06-08-06-57.png[/t]

Did the Group A weekly that was shown as 1980's RWD for some reason and pulled this off on the final stage:
So is the NFS beta any good? I'm hearing mostly negative to mixed opinions on it.
I don't know, I'm mostly hearing good things about it however. The only complaint I heard most is the lack of manual, 5 car limit and always wet road. But a lot of people seem to like the customization and handling.
- Volvo 242, Porsche 993, Sileighty = <3
I've got a question about customization on the 180sx. Since spirit rei is a brand in the game, is their odyvia kit in? I know it's beta but if it is I will literally never drive anything else.
lack of manual
My interest in the game is so conflicted... It's got the customisation I dream of, but this... I hope that this is rectified, somehow.
just did the t500rs pedal mod, seems worth the £5 for a pack of skateboard brushings although the 78a durometer might be a bit stiff i can only just fully depress the brake
My friend said that DiRT Rally needs a better FFB support. The wheel just forces it self back to the middle
My friend said that DiRT Rally needs a better FFB support. The wheel just forces it self back to the middle
yeah im pretty sure most wheels do that unless you configure them not to. Turn off centering spring
My interest in the game is so conflicted... It's got the customisation I dream of, but this... I hope that this is rectified, somehow.
Manual in arcadey racers sucks anyways. I use manual with clutch for Project Cars as that's how I like it, but I just can't do manual in DriveClub. If it's an arcadey racer I think automatic shifting enhances the experience as it frees up the effort to focus on other things eg enjoying the race, but in simulator racers it's a big part of the whole simulation.
I don't think I've ever wanted to use manual in a main series Need for Speed game, and I've been playing them since Need for Speed. They've never been realistic enough that it would actually matter. I still think it should be an option, because options, but it's one of those things that doesn't bother me.

I'm just about to unlock the E36 and I have like no style points but 250-300 gold. Can you buy style points or do you just have to keep getting it from the cards at the end of races? I'm so excited for the actual game to come out, just to play with the customization. Even if the driving is sub-par I feel like I'll enjoy building the 242, Silvia's and E30. I'm only going to be playing it for the 7 days until FO4 comes out though lol
