the common compaints i have about FFB are that with a strong wheel most games feel really heavy and the developers are lazy buggers and dont provide any way to know if your wheel is saturated
the common compaints i have about FFB are that with a strong wheel most games feel really heavy and the developers are lazy buggers and dont provide any way to know if your wheel is saturated
Depends on the game. Most do. R3E, and the rFactor series are the only ones off the top of my head that don't have some kind of readout built in, and rF1/2 both have plugins you can download that'll show it. Assetto Corsa, iRacing, and Project CARS all have meters you watch. AC has an app you can download if you want even more info, iRacing you can watch the little bar, and Project CARS includes an informative line graph showing the past 2 seconds of FFB.
Where are you getting all the style points from? I'm just about to unlock the E36 and I have like no style points but 250-300 gold. Can you buy style points or do you just have to keep getting it from the cards at the end of races? I'm so excited for the actual game to come out, just to play with the customization. Even if the driving is sub-par I feel like I'll enjoy building the 242, Silvia's and E30. I'm only going to be playing it for the 7 days until FO4 comes out though lol
You have to keep progressing, all I know is from Car Series and Tournaments, and they appear randomly. [editline]7th October 2015[/editline] Also, Snoop Doggy Dogg is part of current Special Event, do all 5 days to get his Shelby Doggstang GT500 [t]https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/s/4f44wpa2o66mzgx/Screenshot_2015-10-07-08-34-10.png[/t] [t]https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/s/wxk9bkp3gokttcp/Screenshot_2015-10-07-08-34-31.png[/t] [t]https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/s/hryo4ehsl7ygqry/Screenshot_2015-10-07-08-34-46.png[/t]
So far that event is hella easy and the dialogue is hella cheesy
So far that event is hella easy and the dialogue is hella cheesy
You still have to stock up those parts for next day onward.

Oh man this thing handles amazingly well
What the fuck I was doing career mode in Project CARS in group GT3 at Brno, the race length was 28 laps and I thought fuck that, I'd get into a good position and then hand over to the AI simulation after 10 laps. I did that then went and did other shit, then when I came back and the race was over, the fucking AI driver managed to get me disqualified somehow! What the fuck? It was a compulsory pit-in race, but I already pitted after lap 9 when it stopped raining, and surely if that didn't count to the compulsory pit-in that the AI driver would have pitted for me? Fuck.
My G27 arrived, race times got destroyed as a result, its quite hard getting used to a wheel. I'm using 540° for dirt rally, anyone know how to get the ingame wheel animation to go past 180°?
Why would you play with a wheel, then use the camera view where there's a virtual wheel on the screen too? Couldn't you use bonnet cam or something else like that?

Fuck.
Project CARS is just hopelessly broken in so many ways. Fuck Project CARS. I was doing an endurance race online last weekend. Halfway through the race on Watkins Glen I apparently got too close to the pit entrance during my turn which caused the AI to take over. Except, it didn't make it into the pit because I wasn't in a position to drive into the pit. The AI continued to drive around the entire track at pit speed, completely out of my control. After losing all the positions I'd gained since the start of the race because of the AI driving pit speed, it finally made all the way round the track, and then it didn't even attempt to go into the pits and end the cycle. Nope, it just kept on going, starting another lap. The game was completely out of my control. There was no button I could press to cancel it. All I could do was retire to the pit which ended my race, which I had to because the AI was just being a hazard and there's no point in me staying the game. So I retired from the race. The race was effectively over for me for no fault of my own. I said good bye to the past 45 minutes of my life that had just been wasted, and fuck you to Project CARS. I wish I could say these kind of game breaking experiences were in the minority, but they're not. Without fail, every time I decide to give Project CARS another chance it will always shit itself and every gaming session I have with it ends with me mad and frustrated because the game decided "fuck you, you're not having fun today."
Manual in arcadey racers sucks anyways. I use manual with clutch for Project Cars as that's how I like it, but I just can't do manual in DriveClub. If it's an arcadey racer I think automatic shifting enhances the experience as it frees up the effort to focus on other things eg enjoying the race, but in simulator racers it's a big part of the whole simulation.
Yeah, true. But with the emphasis on drift vehicles I'd love for there to be the option, maybe it could enable more control over drifts. Besides, TDU2 had manual gearbox :v:
I just wish more games would have the option to disable the arms and/or wheel like iRacing has.
You can do that in dirt rally though
You can do that in dirt rally though
Ah. Don't have it myself, so I didn't know. My point still stands, though. :v:
Project cars
I've never ran across that issue before. Infact in all the time I've played it I've never really come across any game breaking or immersion breaking bugs or glitches.
I've never ran across that issue before. Infact in all the time I've played it I've never really come across any game breaking or immersion breaking bugs or glitches.
The game suddenly deciding it doesn't want to recognize my wheel, and sometimes even my keyboard too, are the most common game breaking and session ending ragequit sources. I play a game of Russian roulette with five bullets and only one empty chamber every time I join a race. If I get lucky with that empty chamber, the game will recognize wheel input. If not, it'll act like the wheel isn't plugged in. It's not just me, and there isn't really a solution or workaround that anybody has found that reliably works.
Ah. Don't have it myself, so I didn't know. My point still stands, though. :v:
Assetto Corsa has that option too, it's super nice to have. You can disable the wheel but have the arms enabled and it's pretty hilarious Still such a meh game though
You can do that in dirt rally though
then tell the guy how to?? he asked like 2 posts ago
then tell the guy how to?? he asked like 2 posts ago
Sorry, I was on my phone and then I forgot :unimpressed: Options > Preferences, it's one of the bottom options, and only available while in a race
i'm confused, nobody on this page who owns dirt rally asked how to hide the wheel.
how do i hide the fucking wheel(I don't care I use hood view because I like seeing things)

The server browser system is shit because you can't filter out certain events, such as GT3 because for some reason every cunt loves GT3. It would have been so much better with a matchmaking system, so that you don't get players being spread too-thin across many servers because 10 people wanting to race in Historic Group A all want to host their own rules, and so you have ten servers each populated by one person, instead of one match for ten players racing in Historic Group A. Also I like how the in-game pop-ups mention shit like 'you can consult your race engineer for how to tune your car' but there's no fucking race engineer to consult. Also the introductory video shows, with the in-game graphics, an actual pit crew servicing a car that pitted-in, but that doesn't actually happen in the game. Then you have the dude over the radio, stereotypically with a British accent, who only ever gives you shit advice such as 'HURR COVER THE INSIDE LINE' for every fucking corner. And of course it was yet another racing game which features Australian and New Zealand racing tracks, yet not a single Australian racing car. We have such an incredibly rich motorsport history here. They could have done the V8 Supercars, they could have had VK and VL Holden Commodores in Historic Group A (which were actually fairly competitive internationally including wins at Monza, until the Skyline GT-R absolutely demolished the category), Historic Group 3C cars with not just Holden Toranas, Commodores and Ford Falcons, but also Nissan Bluebird Turbos and Mazda RX-7s. they could have had Australian production cars race with the other production cars in the game - which they do in the Australian Production Car Championship. So much potential in this game, even for other categories and the categories already in the game (eg Group A could have had Volvo 240 Turbos, Skyline GTS-Rs, Jaguar XJS etc; Group GT4 could have had the Nissan 370Z and Camaro), but they went really shallow.
I remember when people voted for drifting to be in the career thing.. and it succeeded and failed massively. PCARS was like first try on how does this thing work (I hope) It's pretty amazing game for something that I paid 45€ in 2011 and got 50 back now [editline]8th October 2015[/editline] first 2-3 years I couldn't play the game, I could only give them shit about the FFB. But that's exactly how this system works

These mystery cards are legitimately pissing me off.
These mystery cards are legitimately pissing me off.
Can't believe it's 30 gold to flip an additional one, and 90 to flip the last one That's like $3 worth of gold or something
Can't believe it's 30 gold to flip an additional one, and 90 to flip the last one That's like $3 worth of gold or something
I'm more concerned with shitty RNG, where there are 2 cards I want and I ended up getting the odd one out.
