This is my Assetto Corsa experience with a DFGT. You can tone it down by ruinng the ffb but never completely get rid of it. Really annoying. Not nearly this bad in Dirt rally but still there. Only solution seems to be literally sound-proofing the wheel. http://forum.scssoft.com/viewtopic.php?p=222126#p222126 Tips?
Turn all the effects to 0. They are fake, have nothing to do with what the tires are really doing, and even the developers tell you to turn them off. I don't know why they're still even an option. My only guess is that they're used for rumble on a gamepad. I know in RaceRoom I had a similar problem because their canned effects are on by default, but turning them off removed all rattling. If it still happens after that, then something might be wrong with the wheel because it shouldn't rattle like that. Here's what I use in Assetto Corsa and it feels great to me. Minimum force might be wrong, but I never got around to messing around with it. Some wheels (I forget which) supposedly have big FFB deadzones and raising the minimum force means that the game won't try to send FFB into the deadzone range where you won't feel it. There's a program call WheelCheck that you use to find your wheel's minimum force. It's annoyingly difficult to find because the most common link is locked inside iRacing's forum. Here's a mirror of it that I put up on my Dropbox. Here's the thread that explains how to find your minimum force deadzone The short of it is that you use the wheel checker program, set it to linear force test (log2), then use Excel to check how big your deadzone is, and set your minimum force to the percent force where the wheel starts to respond to FFB. I just ran this myself and apparently I don't have a sizeable deadzone, but I might try setting it to 1 or 2 percent just to see if it makes a difference next time I play. The graphics have never been anything I'd call "spectacular" and the driving has always been this awkward mix of GTA and a sim, leaning more towards the former, but that's just me. It doesn't seem like there's really any one up to NFS over other racing games out there

You get what you pay for I guess, can't except a 70€ wheel to last forever. I just read about enabling the center spring but keeping it at 0%, I'll see if it works tomorrow. Thanks for the wheelchecker, that is very useful. Uploader is very upset, I am not. Thanks for the input though. Owned AC for over a year as well.

Porsche Unleashed was fantastic and much closer to a simulator, whereas the Criterion-made games were essentially just Burnout with licensed cars. This one in particular is definitely stuck in that awkward middle ground though.
Had an almost perfect run on league event today, I think misakes costed for about 5 seconds. It's so beautiful when it's snowing in monaco at night, I heard devs are gonna make the snow even more beautiful when Swedden comes. I expect to get wrecked on next gravel events.
Yeah I've definitely not played more of the NFS games than I have, so I'm no expert :v:

"fluffy", similar to Sweden, instead of being hard banks the car can easily bounce over.

Didn't expect to like it due to the weight but it's so much easier to drive overall, even if the default setup can be a bit weird at times. Occasionally it will ping off into space from stuff other cars barely register.
It has been confirmed that Monte Carlos snow banks are being reworked to be more..
Meh, still fun for me. I do have to agree on the lack of visual customization for the cars though.
Then play a game like underground 2. Its driving physics are passable, its customization is MILES better than anything this game seems to offer, its car list may suck, but at least they act like cars and not hovercrafts with prescripted turn angles. I'm not exactly sure how they could screw up a game this much.
I don't remember if I mentioned this here or not, but RaceRoom got a big patch a few weeks ago that overhauled the physics of half the cars in the game. Most notably all the ADAC and GTR3 cars and the Prototype and Silhouette classes. They feel great now. They also opened up the entire Prototype and Silhouette classes for free, meaning anybody can now drive all the cars in those classes with all the liveries. With the overhauled physics, they're now on the same level as all the recent content, which is great because before they were easily some of the worst cars in the game.

It's really hard to get to in later missions without making your car look terrible. You make a decent looking car, then you have to turn it into this to enter the next race.
Does this mean we all can agree that Ghost Games is an awful dev?
It's not that Ghost is an awful dev, they actually listened to community feedback on the game. It's just that they (or EA) decide to have some weird development agreement like always online, no manual etc. Ghost is actually listening AND trying to make a game that many of us love. Well, they didn't nail it exactly on this game but they got the right thing going on for them.

Seriously, star ratings only apply to one vehicle in your garage, so you can turn your escalade into a 90s Las Vegas and clear the requirements for every contract without taking it out of your garage or shitting up your other cars. Hell I think it even tells you to do this at one point.

Then again I was about 12 last time I played it and probably missed it with my limited English at the time.
So I've been training on Départ en descente on and off for the last four days since I noticed I had problems with it I finally thought I was getting it, and did the FP rally Then i fell off in the third corner :ok: I'll be back for Wales tho
Made simple personal skin for Polo, it's gonna replace my Focus 06 which was dull gray. I support Facepunch :v:
Under the Hood #1 Welcome to the very first edition of Under the Hood, your regular behind the scenes look at all things Need for Speed. In this edition, we will be talking about some of your feedback we’ve received since launch and also give an overview of what you can expect in the game update. Last week was an incredibly proud moment for us at Ghost Games as we ushered in a new era for Need for Speed. However, this is only the start of the journey. Before we discuss the future we wanted to take a few moments to say… thank you. You, the fans, have been very supportive of what we’re doing here, and the amount of positivity and feedback we’ve received since the announce has driven us on to create the best Need for Speed experience possible. The future of Need for Speed is as much in your hands as it is ours, so please do keep the feedback coming. We’re deeply committed to creating not only the game that you, our players want, but the game you deserve. We are incredibly excited about what we’re calling the Living Game where we’ll be releasing updates to the game. We’ll be expanding on your Need for Speed experience with brand new content, improvements, and fixes - all of which starts in just a few weeks with our first update. We have been reading your feedback over the launch period, alongside media reviews and taking stock. One of the big talking points that we’ve seen has been ‘rubber banding’ or ‘AI Catchup’. Taking this feedback on board, the work is already underway to balance the AI, and this will be live alongside the first Living Game update. Last week we pushed live a fix that looked to address the stutter players on Xbox One were experiencing. Early reports are looking good with a number of players now reporting that the stutter is a thing of the past, but we will as always, continue to monitor. Our first Living Game update is due to arrive before the end of November and below you’ll find an overview of what will be included. More balanced ‘AI Catch Up’ New Wrap Editor features: Mirror functionality Improved colour picker Hoonicorn and Morohoshi-San Diablo Gifted upon completion of their respective narrative threads First look at neons Early in development version on Morohoshi-San’s Diablo REP increase 50-60 3x Trophies & Achievements New daily challenges x30 new pre-set wraps General bugs, tweaks and improvements This is just the beginning and we look forward to what the future holds for Need for Speed.
http://www.needforspeed.com/en_GB/news/future-plans I'm alright with this. Hoonicorn and the Diablo, neons I wonder what they mean with balanced AI catch up, like less rubber banding?
Reminder that the 2nd leg of our league event has begun, everyone get's a week to get a time down so no pressure.

oh yeah if anyone else wants league mod status rate this post or add me on steam or something.
