Alright then, here's your reminder that a new leg of the league event has started and that you should probably practice
i'll just drop this here https://www.humblebundle.com/ Codemasters bundle, includes GRID 2/Autosport/DiRT 3/Showdown and even the remastered legendary Colin McRae Rally 2.0
Oh shit the hoonigan event is a complete opposite of the previous 2 events, no freebies, you gotta buy all the shit now [editline]25th November 2015[/editline]
i'll just drop this here https://www.humblebundle.com/ Codemasters bundle, includes GRID 2/Autosport/DiRT 3/Showdown and even the remastered legendary Colin McRae Rally 2.0
That cmr is a mobile port
Does anyone have any decent G25/G27 settings for Dirt Rally? The FFB feels completely wrong to me. It doesn't even counter-steer like a real car at all. It even feels like it unnaturally fights the counter steer input as well. It also feels very mushy. Does anyone know how to fix this?

man i never thought nfs prostreet's handling was this weird, but it got interesting setting tho
Project CARS pisses me off because the core game is broken, but it gets a lot of little things right, like how it handles DLC. It's brilliant and shows amazing restraint for the greater purpose of keeping the community together and playing together. If you don't own a track that a server is playing, you can still join and race on the server just fine. If you don't own any cars in the class that the server is running, the game will give you one car from the class for free while you're on the server. That's amazing. Basically all my racing is on public servers, so when a game cuts off access to servers because you don't own something, it fragments a multiplayer community like crazy. When your population is as small as it is in simracing, keeping the players together is of the utmost importance, and Project CARS actually does that. I was considering buying the DLC for PCars right there on the spot as soon as I found this out, but then I remembered how fucked the game is and decided against it. Either way though, it's worth pointing out this little feature of PCars because it's a shining example that other sims [sp]like Assetto Corsa and RaceRoom[/sp] should take inspiration from. I'm surprised nobody ever talks about this. I had no idea this is how they did it. It's absolutely worth mentioning.
Meanwhile finished Greece and it was really bad compared to previous events. Barrel roll, tire puncutre, an out, hairpin issues, one more out, resulting in 40+ seconds of mistakes. Try to do it clean and you'll win.
Well, I continued my streak of fucking up the car too in Greece. Was doing decently until 1/3rd into the first long stage, under-steered, hit a rock, got ramped straight into a cliffside with all wheels impacting it, 15 second penalty and a triple puncture. Had to incur another one and a half minute penalty for repairing one front wheel, as both were punctured and having both explode is an instant DNF, and then in the second half of the stage, I understeered and got stuck multiple times on the side of the road. Which also KO'ed the other rear tire, which meant that I had to drag the car to the finish with only its front right tire intact. In the progress, probably one of the slowest times ever set on that track was made. At least I finished the event this time. Man, I can drive a Lancia 037 Evo 2 very cleanly for two weeklies in a row, yet I cannot stop punting that Evo X into hard objects.
That cmr is a mobile port
i actually forgot that it was a tragic port and i already regret redeeming it. To compensate that i installed Colin McRae Rally 2.0
Man, I can drive a Lancia 037 Evo 2 very cleanly for two weeklies in a row, yet I cannot stop punting that Evo X into hard objects.
Maybe you have more control in corners with lots of Lancia power, but Evo has less power and so feels heavier.
Maybe you have more control in corners with lots of Lancia power, but Evo has less power and so feels heavier.
I don't play the game but I assume the 037 has better longitudinal weight distribution so handling is better, with the engine in-between the axles, and the 037 is less tall as well so it's better planted.
man i never thought nfs prostreet's handling was this weird, but it got interesting setting tho
NFS Prostreet's handling is broken beyond belief. Not evern underground 2 allowed a 240sx to outaccelerate a veyron. Just because the handling physics don't make sense doesn't mean the game isn't a hell of a lot of fun. Challenge Infineon has to be one of the hardest race sets in the game, and you can play the game is 'Challenge Mode'. For example you can stick a MASSIVE turbo into a cayman and touge your way through every race in the game with extreme difficulty. It also sports BS things like Ryo. For reference, he actually has 8 seperate cars. 2 are cutscene only, 1 isn't used {and can be bought for 0 dollars and sold for about 25k if you trick the save system correctly}, 1 is used for drag races and is actually rear wheel drive, 1 is for drift races and is also rear wheel drive, the next 2 are all wheel drive and for normal races/speed challenge {with custom tuning settings impossible to replicate in the game's menu}, and the last car is the one the game gives you for beating him. They look almost indistinguishible from each other as well. For all the crap prostreet has I still love it.
Got a ps4.... but no good racing games. Driveclub's arcade, pcars is just a wad of racecars, and the gt series are cars that make the sound of vacuums. please. PLEASE, PD, make GT7's engine sounds halfway decent.

You can buy the season pass for like $20 and that unlocks like three times as many events as those that feature in the base game (like, 250 events) plus more cars. The only other really bad thing is that the developers had such a boner for rain that every fucking event, even if it starts as a sunny day, turns into a fucking thunderstorm by the end of the race. I can't wait for GranTurismo Sport and iirc the car sounds have improved since GT6, but I'm worried that as a spin-off it won't have the substance of the main GranTurismo games. If it's just a copy of Project Cars, featuring only race cars (so far we've seen GT3 and Vision GT cars) albeit competing in that new FIA online series, that's going to get incredibly boring, fast.

There's Honda S2000 in that pack. Damn. [editline]26th November 2015[/editline] Always wanted to try out the DLC when I played this on PS3 years ago, but I'm somewhat dissapointed that they're broken and nothing special. The new tracks are okay tho, but Shuto Expressway is tricky if you don't know the track.
What's the point of GT Sport and GT7 if PS4 doesn't support past-gen Logitech Wheels I don't want that overpriced G29 bullshit or pricey Thrustmasters.
What's the point of GT Sport and GT7 if PS4 doesn't support past-gen Logitech Wheels I don't want that overpriced G29 bullshit or pricey Thrustmasters.
cuz some people aren't in the same generation as you

Greece has fucking awful notes
so this morning i bought Trackmania United Forever oh boy i waited 6 years for this purchase. Now i can play all the United made tracks that were made by 12-13 year old me

They technically have infinite downforce if the car is grounded, making 402kmph runs of nevada highway and ebisu a breeze. I honestly have no idea WHAT they were thinking when they made that game. Speaking of nfs games, should I buy shift unleashed 2 for dirt cheap and deal with sliding cars, or octuple the offer and get asseto corsa?
[t]http://i.imgur.com/eTkwwWq.jpg[/t] [t]http://jesusfuck.me/di/51EM/screenshot-original.png[/t] I think I destroyed the achievement.
Bought Stock Car Extreme in the sale last night and am having a blast with it so far. Feels like I'm missing a setting with the AI though. They're good, but not very consistent. I'm seeing spins and nudges all over the place. and then there's this guy:
every dlc car also sports broken aerodynamics. If you can live with the iffy handling and Ken Bloc in your ear all the time, there's a very nice track selection and decent set of cars to play with. Be sure to get the community patch and whatnot.
so this appeared out of nowhere
so this appeared out of nowhere
Sorry this may have been like a decent mobile game back in 2010, but other games like Real Racing 3 have set the bar really high.
