I used to play alot of LFS but never racing. I still think it has some of the best low speed simulation of any game ive played [editline]12th December 2015[/editline] Thr only racer I've played where 30mph feels like 30mph rather than 5.

I don't think i've played another sim where the cars' "weight" feels so good If it had real cars and real tracks+actually working collision model I bet it still would be popular among sim racers

It is getting a bit frustrating when I get the feeling that I have pushed the car as hard as possible in a Weekly without binning it, only to end up two seconds outside the Top 10, with the WR holders somehow being two minutes faster overall. And back to the League Event, I was leading it until halfway into the first long stage, where I got an tyre failure after the largest jump of the stage, which ended up bursting in that fast left 4 after that, which ended up in a massive crash which knocked out all the lights on my car. So long for actually winning an event in a R4 car for me. I think that I crash more with that Mitsubishi than any other car in the game.

Alright so, I don't have a great PC but an Xbone. What racing games should I get that are decent at least? I have Forza Motorsport 6 and Need for Speed for now. Christmas is coming up so I might as well treat myself to it.

Horizon 2 seems fun to me judging by videos.

Got Horizon 2 on 360, I wanted to get it on the One but decided against it. PCars seemed nice but I heard bad reviews about it.

PCars is so shit in so many ways, such as: - The game offers so much customisation for the controls, even on consoles, but it doesn't give you the slightest explanation for anything. So if you have no idea what you're doing (because SMS doesn't help you) and if you play with a gamepad, you're fucked. - On the matter of gamepads, I can understand that the game was meant to be played with a racing wheel, but SMS were so incredibly stupid to realise that probably 90% of the people interested in their game don't have a racing wheel, and so it's a nightmare to set up the game for a gamepad. - Every asswipe online only ever wants to race in Group GT3 cars at fucking Monza. It gets boring as fuck really fast. Then, because the game has a server browser rather than a matchmaking system, you end up with a lot of quarter-full servers because everyone wants to be the host so they can choose stupid custom rules. - The game has a shit as penalty system which is useless at preventing bumper cars in online play. The first corner of each race is always people ramming each other off of the track and half of the lobby quitting. If you don't race dirty, you don't win. - Car selection is awful. Even for racing cars. There are only three Group A cars for instance, each the most-boring and most-overused in other racing games as well (Sierra Cosworth, BMW M3 and Merc 190 E). I could name at least ten other Group A racing cars that they could have used. - Career mode is incredibly boring and is just one long grind-fest. It's completely soulless. - All of the DLC is boring. I'm sorry I just really don't like the game.

i can't remember exactly how the iracing seasons work, aren't we coming up on week 13 of s4 now? i've got a craving to resub (i race star mazda mainly, looking into ruf cup) but don't know what track it is this week, don't know how long of the season is left etc really shitty practice of iracing to lock all of that behind the subscription, a few times i've resubbed now i've found that its week 13 and 7 days of my sub is going to be wasted or that the main series i race in is not at a track that i own. it won't let you look at the current series guide without paying.

I'm coming from skippys and star mazda where there's usually 2 splits for every race and I like that. Don't want to buy tracks for this and then find out that most races don't even go official
