Anybody ever play historix in rfactor? Me and some buddies had some good times with it, all time favorite mod [T]https://c2.staticflickr.com/6/5495/12650955155_0612b56388_o.png[/T] [T]https://c2.staticflickr.com/6/5483/11746445796_3389616aae_o.png[/T] [T]https://c1.staticflickr.com/3/2838/11745939693_2fe87c70cf_o.png[/T] [T]https://c2.staticflickr.com/4/3818/11745726875_570903e8c8_o.png[/T] So many glory romps around the nurburg or games of tag or max AI crossover death race on TG test track, james bond style car chases on Transfagarasan Kinda expected AC to be the successor but thanks to it's shitty online that never happened, shame Also if anyone can see the reference i made on the roadent Cuda, i'd be impressed
Man, the sound of that Evo is amazingly crisp... I should get Dirt Rally asap. How hard is it with a controller? I no longer have a wheel.
I've been playing with a controller for 100-ish hours, and I can tell you it is entirely possible, you just have to be ready to work twice as hard than a wheel user to master a car, since the only feedback you get is when the controller starts vibrating due to start to loss of traction. If you are considering buying dirt rally I have a few pointers. Wait for the winter sale, it's just around the corner. You should probably fiddle with these settings: They help a lot in making the steering look and feel more natural, everything else can be left at stock really. Since you're gonna be taking in a lot of visual feedback to help you locate the grip you should download this mod, it smoothens the 1st person camera makes the perspective look a lot more natural, and makes it easier to focus on reference points. And stay away from the stratos.
And stay away from the stratos.
What's the point of playing if you can't experience the craziest the game has to offer.
i miss outrun so much [t]http://images.akamai.steamusercontent.com/ugc/400056914974351506/83A492DFA1C88C6E7A5402AD1ED5B1A0B864680A/[/t]
What's the point of playing if you can't experience the craziest the game has to offer.
It's decided - after we die on Lancia 037, we'll all go straight for Stratos on slippery tracks. because masochism

it was hard finishing the event with a trashed car :(
Jesus tapdancing christ, apparently Live for Speed FINALLY released the Rockingham track, the one they announced in 2008 :v:

nah, I crashed twice on a Finland stage, I was getting full of myself... But I actually didn't crash anymore after that, it's just that it broke down more and more as I drove it, and I couldn't keep up with the repairs [editline]21st December 2015[/editline] no wait, it was stage from Wales
Event's already started, looks like it's guaranteed Super class, not to mention Blackridge's snowy weather. i just watched this video and the german wrc looks a lot more intense than the stages in dirt, the dirt stages dont have anywhere near as much elevation change or blind corners, kinda want to pick up rbr while im still using oculus runtime 6 and see how that is

I'm not going to blame them for doing that, not to say that a vineyard stage would be unwelcome.
Why is the L.G27 gear shifter so awful... Anyone recommend something else? I hear that Thrustmaster's is superior.
if you dont want to spend to much and want h pattern+sequential either the thrustmaster or fanatec, i have the th8a and its really good i use it all the time now since i fitted a 350mm rim and removed the paddles. if all you need is sequential id probably get something custom like the dsd shifter, there somewhat more expensive but higher quality http://www.derekspearedesigns.com/pro-sequential---std.html [editline]23rd December 2015[/editline] an interesting idea i saw on the iracing forum was using a arcade stick to create a sequential shifter/button box, quite a low cost solution for anyone who does mind a bit of diy
Since I dont have anything better to do I made a list of interesting racing games on sale. To add to that, iRacing is offering 3-months of membership for $5 if you use promo code PR-LionelHoliday2015. New memberships only, code expires January 31st, 2016.
Are there going to be any daily discounts or will all the prizes remain the same for the whole Winter Sale?
Are there going to be any daily discounts or will all the prizes remain the same for the whole Winter Sale?
same price until the sale ends
I only play DiRT: Rally and WRC (rally fanboy :v:) But I'm very interrested in trying something new, but the problem is the prices and which game I should really buy. I'm more of a multiplayer racing guy so PCars and AC is very difficult for me to choose between. And I have no knowledge of the other games.
if you want mp try the iracing 3 month promo, if you like it can be expensive but on the other hand some of the most popular series are ones that use base content like the mx-5 cup
Looked it up. The monthly fee I can live with, but the amount of microtransactions and it's extreme prices just killed it for me. Jesus Christ...
if your not even willing to try your choice but a large percentage of the active userbase race in series like mazda cup where no additional content is required source i dont usually give an opinion on pcars because i was WMD backer but all but the 3/4 laserd track are awful and not worth racing on, really it just has nice graphics and weather, AC has good tracks but im pretty sure if you look back a few pages you will find people saying the netcode is terrible, not exactly what you wantif your looking for a multiplayer racing game
Assetto Corsa's netcode got a lot better in the last patch. I haven't had any trouble since the update. [editline]23rd December 2015[/editline] Project CARS is at best, death by a thousand cuts, because there's so many little things wrong with it that make the whole package an aggravating mess. It's especially infuriating because some things Project CARS does very well. For everything it does right, it completely fucks something else up.
aside from all the little things that take away from the game i think one of the core items the tracks just feel really bad in project cars, they look nice but run a track like Laguna Seca or nordschleife that have significant elevation changes then compare them to AC/iracing and the pcars version feels flat and lifeless early on in the thread someone argued you could run private leagues with steam friends rather than paying for iracing and sure you probably can but itd never compare to the 1500 to 2500 people who race the popular series every day, even the less popular ones get official races 6pm-6am gmt i think thats well worth the $5 for 3 months to see if you like it, not like much has been lost at the end if you dont.
It's been on for less in the past, but Stock Car Extreme is -25% off (~£17.24) as well if anyone's interested. Irritated to see none of the Codies F1 games besides 2015 are on sale though. I wanted to pick up 2014 to play with a friend, but it's not happening at twenty quid.

Fuckin, how do I play Dirt 2/3, fucking GFWL
Fuckin, how do I play Dirt 2/3, fucking GFWL
Dunno about DiRT 2, but for DiRT 3, install the "Complete Edition" version. They released that after GFW shut down and gave it to everyone who owned D3 for free.
