Bought 2 new tracks and a month of iRacing before Christmas, moved and now have a new desk with nowhere to clamp my wheel to. Complete waste of money, this is the 1 thing I absolutely hate about iRacing, you feel obligated to play as much as possible because you're paying ludicrous amounts of money for everything
I love circuit gilles-villeneuve which is why I bought it but due to the desk situation I can't race, and I bet it's not on the schedule next season so I have to buy even more tracks then
i dont really feel like that about iracing, i just do tracks i like and usually dont play much once i get 3.0 or close to it
what sort of desk did you get?mine is pretty wheel unfreindly and i had to remove a decorative strip to mount a g27/t500 unless you bought a glass desk just drill it the clamps are shit anyway

the main piece of wood that everything is top on is maybe an inch thick but then there's a decorative strip on the front that's twice as thick, there was also a drawer underneath it but i managed to get that out. the strip will just rip off or unscrew but i'm just going to get a cheapo thing from ikea instead and rip this desk out. it's partially held up by the wall so it's a bit of a bitch to work with.
and yeah i think from now on i'll have to start skipping tracks i don't own and not worry too much about meeting the season/series min participation for the credits bonus. i still think that tracks should be scheduled for 2 weeks instead of 1 though, especially with stuff like gt3 and formula 1 where you spend tuesday-saturday tweaking your setup and then can only get a few races in over the weekend
Still looking for people to do dumb and not-so races in Asetto Corsa, next time we're going to try this

I'm going to buy it as soon as my controller gets here. I'm in.
What mods you recommend for AC?
What mods you recommend for AC?
I tried out VW Polo WRC recently and it's super manueverable car. Add some hillclimbs or other point-to-point tracks and you'll get the fun.
DS3 seems to be from the same people so you can take it instead.
Caterham Academy was also really fun to drive.
Mazda Miata is decently made and could make for a good casual trackday.

About Tuner Trials, this is where you get parts real easy, along with accompanying conversion kits, from Common, to Legendary. Each day, you will receive 2 Tokens to use for these events which also requires 3 Fuel and All Access Pass, which grants you the ability to choose any day of your liking, from Monday to Sunday. Once the Tokens have been depleted, you'll have to wait for an hour or something for it, and the next day for the Access Pass. Each day will give you these specific parts.
Monday: Engine
Tuesday: Turbo
Wednesday: Gearbox
Thursday: Tires
Friday: ECU
Saturday: Nitro
Sunday: Cash/Visual Points
These specific events require specific cars, 1 per Quality. The cars required:
Common: Ford Fiesta
Uncommon: M3 E36
Rare: Supra
Epic: 991 Carrera
Legendary: SRT Viper
Recommend you guys max out the cars to make things easier.

The biggest change of all is the parts conversion, no more absurdly expensive conversions while hoarding huge amount of kits at the same time, it has now been re-adjusted. It will now require more parts to convert. All I know is that you need 2 conversion kits for Uncommon, 3 for Rare, and 4 for Epic. But at the saame time, you can't repeat Car Series events anymore due to Tuner Trials taking its place as Conversion kit providers.

Never thought that a ffb could make DiRT Rally so much easier. It was pure hell driving with a 360 controller
Thanks to one of my buddies we've got highlights from saturday Assetto Corsa day uploaded, enjoy.
perhaps my most favorite moment is 07:14

I guess there will be more shit like this, wish we had records from Iku or Psygo though because they had some intense moments on buses and robins I didn't see.

how much did it cost? and what kinda sik skillz do i need to make that?
Arduino Micro cost 3.90€, the knob was another 3.90€, the clamps that hold the gear lever in position were 2.90€ a pair (IIRC), then the two clamps that hold the damn thing down were about 5€ a pair. The microswitches can be found on Ebay for about 10€ (you need 8 of them). The wood, screws, the spring, the wiring and the aluminium rod were available at the Uni and lying around in the garage. (I also managed to convince the school staff to order the microswitches so I didn't even need to pay for them).
Most of the instructions can be found here: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=511497265 with my comments that complete it below.
Edit: I also had to modify my chair by removing the right side armrest so I could reach the shifter faster. Also, the shifter works on Euro Truck Simulator 2 as well!
eh, maybe I think I'll just be lazy and stick with my G25 shifter

here's a new compilation from latest AC day, we're doing more on WED and maybe SAT, would really like more people.
there's a cruise around lake louise, a bad race around the lake, LADA DOWNHILL, GT3 race and Robin race on rallycross track which reminded me of Flatout alot.

Just through Steam for the moment, shot you a friend request mate. We're going to try and do more dumb things on Wednesday roughly around 12-14:00 GMT (somewhat flexible) if that works.
If anyone else is interested by the way, just add me or suXin on Steam.
Fucking bullshit, i nearly smoked Magnus Walker on the first try with my ~900hp 242 but at the last stretch the cheeky cunt's Porsche enters fucking hyper warp speed all of a sudden and slingshots right past me
on the second try a goddamn AI racer hits me near the finish which fucks up all of my speed and i get to watch Walker's shitty Porsche warping past me once again
fuck this game, man
i have never gotten this salty at a racing game before
Is there a FPAA (well...y'know what I mean) crew for The Crew/Wildrun Edition (PC)? Got it for Christmas and i'm having a bit of fun with it, it's like TDU2 but more enjoyable (IMO)
I wish TDU3 would ever be a thing, like TDU 1 but with the Dubai map and better graphics, but neverever(tm)
who runs the TDU2 servers tho?

some kinda mysterious matter, maybe atari shareholders
some kinda mysterious matter, maybe atari shareholders
Yeah i mean, the servers are all still up, even casino. Sadly you cant buy Tokens because its fishy as shit, wish the Car DLC's would come to Steam.
The latest compilation is full of suffering on SuperSprint - the track where you have to race topdown. The common sense would tell you to use gamepads but fuck that, so excuse loud noises.
Also had some random drifts with lots of people joining, didn't expect so much, I guess it's just rare to see such combo of track\car.
Sorry for the bad video quality again, I fiddled with OBS and forgot to restore the settings as they were.
