The new need for speed update is simple but I'm insanely hype for it. It's adding a full photo mode, wrap sharing, and gas stations will repair your car now. Definitely gonna add some more hours for me. http://www.needforspeed.com/news/under-the-hood-4
I wish the wraps wont be so low res on the PC Version, i already hated that in pro street and other nfs games.
I can't wait to do the wrap editor on pc, even if it isn't higher res. I'd think it would be though. I tried making the vault boy on the side of my R35 and it took me like two hours.
How is the new NFS anyways? does it have much challenge to it?

Can someone tell me how it's even possible to beat Masters difficulty on Dirt:Rally? I can spend over an hour on the same stretch of track trying to get everything perfect and still finish 15-30 seconds behind the person in first. In order to win you must either have to be psychotically good at driving games or have ludicrous patience.
There is a reason it's called Masters difficulty.
I know that obviously, but in my mind, it has to at least be possible to complete. But I simply can't comprehend how skilled someone must be at the game to be able to compete at that level. I mean on pretty much any other Rally/Racing game I can play pretty competitively on the hardest difficulty, but I just get annihilated on Dirt: Rally.

So... I'm uninstalling DiRT. :v:
Actually the first place AI time is not dependant on the difficulty. 1st place AI times are the same across all difficulties, the higher difficulty just makes the gaps between the other AI times smaller. This blog post explains it a bit more https://www.dirtgame.com/blog/5313 edit: I may be wrong actually but this still explains it a bit

Unupgraded cars drive way slower than fully upgraded cars, and as the lead AI always seem to use fully upgraded cars, you will most of the time not finish first with unupgraded cars. In some cases, completely unupgraded cars are about 100hp down on the rest of the field, which needless to say, is something that is completely unreasonable. Hell, even with a 4/5 Upgraded 2010 Polo WRC, which is about 30hp short on a fully upgraded one, I think I lose about 5 seconds on the better tracks while driving cleanly compared to if I would drive in a fully upgraded car. With a fully upgraded car however, you would be able to beat the Masters AI most of the time if you drive cleanly. Especially in the Group B 4WD Class, since the top AI doesn't seem to use the Delta S4 or the 205 T16 E2, which are both way faster usually than the RS200, Quattro Sport and the Metro 6R4. So if you use the Delta S4 or the 205 T16 E2, you would probably beat the AI with ease on most stages, especially on Finland and Germany.
You don't have to drive perfectly fast, but atlesast stable, as leading AI has a chance to make a critical mistake to let you pass.
Learn to use different techniques to keep your momentum, and go down a gear before you enter a corner so you'll have the power to accelerate out of the corner and you won't get the "oh shit, no torque, I have to go down a gear" effect. Scandinavian flick is a great way to bleed off speed before entering a corner and entering the corner at a better angle. Try out different cars and see what suits your driving style. Also some cars are better for some events than others. For example, the 037 and the 2001 Impreza are worse on Sweden than the Manta and 01 Focus, because the 037 is lower and wider than the Manta (snowbanks catch it more easily), and Focus is shorter than the Impreza (Imprezas tail gets often caught in the outside bank). Fiddle with the car setups, or download some setups from the Steam Workshop. Some setups work better on some events, for example driving the Mitsubishi on Sweden is a lot easier (and more fun) when the brake balance is almost all the way to the rear.
See for a while I have just been buying the nicer looking cars because the stats all seemed so similar but after a while I realised some are actually noticeably better than others. Might have to go and buy some more.

Everything else is a mixed bag really.
Patch is out for Dirt Performance when Weather is set to Low should improve. Leagues will now use a set of stock engineers. The option to use Career Engineers as an option will be going live on the website later today. There are various tweaks and fixes for the audio in Sweden. Rallycross tracks have been allocated more memory, to prevent cases where they forget to load. So can the FP league can start going again?
Shit, I haven't played dirtr for weeks

S1600 cars in rally cross, colour me excited.
I'll set up Lancia 037 event the next day, just to be sure the update is applied correctly on the web part.
The latest compilation is full of suffering on SuperSprint - the track where you have to race topdown. The common sense would tell you to use gamepads but fuck that, so excuse loud noises. Also had some random drifts with lots of people joining, didn't expect so much, I guess it's just rare to see such combo of track\car. Sorry for the bad video quality again, I fiddled with OBS and forgot to restore the settings as they were.
Since I fell through the wall never getting to the end of akina I tried it in single player.. and fell through a random wall again and gave up. That track is ridiculous. Oh yeah, I'm opaali. I forgot my pw for that FP account and tried resetting it only to find out microsoft has deleted that email. Sorry for not jumping in on saturday, I hope you guys had fun

I really have wanted ACAT on dirt rally. Someone apparently found a way though
EDIT: WARNING: I think this might sometimes reset your control preferences, at least that seems to be what just happened to me. I think this might have been posted before, but i only just found out about it so I thought I'd share. There's a really easy way to use any car on any track. This youtube video has the instructions in the description. I've had a lot of fun taking a 037 up Pike's Peak and using the S1 quattro on Col de Turini (codriver doesn't work for that one sadly). Here's what I did to get rally cars on Pike's Peak:

Go to C:\Steam\SteamApps\common\DiRT Rally\tracks\locations.
Open up the usa folder and copy the pikes_peak folder.
I decided I'd replace Monaco, so next open the france folder.
Paste pikes_peaks into that then rename col_de_turini_rally_01 to something like col_de_turini_rally_01_bak.
Rename pikes_peak to col_de_turini_rally_01
Now open the game and start a custom rally event in Monaco and pick Pra d'Alart.
To get everything back to normal just delete the col_de_turini_rally_01 folder and rename col_de_turini_rally_01_bak to col_de_turini_rally_01.
Too busy to try right now but will post when I do
Sorry for not jumping in on saturday, I hope you guys had fun
Not really honestly, Psygo didn't manage to come too and most of the cars were typical understeery uncontrollable supercar bullshit, only GT-Rs on Trial Mountain somewhat saved the day, but we were tired anyway. We're gonna do another trackday next saturday, I think it'll be some 180SX\Sileighty and F2002.
