fuck you™
[editline]13th February 2016[/editline]
i have to win the 4-stage touge tourney to unlock it
[sp]i did it, 1st place with same points as the 2nd[/sp]
I need some people to race/drift/whatever with on Forza 6 man, like possibly setting up a race or whatever. No controller here so guarenteed to be shit at the game. I would like a 1970's F1 race on the Nürburgring, full circuit.
[editline]13th February 2016[/editline]
Or any other race tbh, It's been too long since I've raced with Facepunchers.
I had the same problem with Test Drive. I loved Test Drive Unlimited. You had the freedom of a huge island, the car collection and garage aspect of it, and the real life scale of the whole thing just made it really immersive in a weird way.
Except the driving sucked ass. It was terrible. It was one of those things that I just put up with because I loved the rest of the game so much, but I really wish the driving didn't feel so bad. I think I'll eventually get The Crew though, because it seems like everything I liked about TDU, but unfortunately sharing its flaws.
It's a shame that TDU2 had even worse physics than TDU1. At least TDU1 felt fine so long as you didn't go on winding mountain roads (the suspension system was fucked up), but every car in TDU2 felt like they had identical handling.
Forza Horizon was close, but the map was tiny compared to Oahu / Ibiza and the car selection was pathetic compared to Forza 4. The physics were a bit more on the arcadey side than FM4 but it was still acceptable.
So few days ago i got DiRT 3. And this game is fantastic for a rally game
i wonder if someone here still plays it?

I think most people into rally games are probably on dirt rally now.
I've still yet to jump aboard the Dirt Rally ship. Haven't played much Dirt 3 in the past while, though.

meh can't afford or run it
auto modellista is somewhat an okay game, better if they tweaked its lousy handling, makes touge events a pain
but then, you got this car ingame

pretty neat for being cel-shaded back in 2003, cars got quite nice visual mods, despite only 2 models for each part

oh my god that game is my shit
i've had way too much fun doing dumb shit like dropping a 2jz into the toyota 800 and hitting 220+ mph on the longer tracks (which could be a glitch from using easy tune up after performing an engine swap) - the game doesn't even know what cars to have compete against it :v:
the best part about it is that engine swapped classics don't even drive any worse than any other car in the game because the physics model is so backwards lol, I'd really like to see another game with a similar artstyle, though

Did you go all the way to unlock everything in this game?
meh can't afford or run it
Oh, you can run dirt rally. If you crank everything to the lowest, it'll look worst than Richard Burns Rally but you'll be able to run it on a Casio calculator.
Im thinking of returning the T300RS I just got if I can. I'm still not all that happy with it, and I'm also now getting a strong smell of plastic whenever it's on.
Maybe it's a case of the grass always being greener, but I think I'll get a G29 when the price eventually drops. It's the wheel I was originally looking at due to its pedals and tons of buttons. The only reason I went with the T300RS is because it was for such a cheap price and everybody says it's supposed to be super good. I still have my DFGT which works totally fine to use in the meantime.
I also think it's kinda interesting how in the flight sim world, everybody sucks Thrustmaster's dick and won't stop talking about how they're the pinnacle of flight sim hardware, and yet in the simracing world they have the same reputation as Saitek for quality control issues

ive had awful issues with thrustmaster's customer service
i bought a t500rs on black friday, and the brake pedal potentiometer was broken on it from the factory. customer service wouldn't honor the warranty even when i sent them a copy of the receipt because they don't believe i bought it new because "i paid too little for the wheel".
but, since they were so nice, they were willing to ship me a spare potentiometer so i can tear the pedal box apart and solder it back on myself. only took about two and a half months to arrive though.
Did you go all the way to unlock everything in this game?
I'm on my way to doing it now since it's my first time picking it up in years; as far as I can remember unlocking everything doesn't take too long since I think you just have to get first in each event, and there aren't a very huge amount of them.

Yeah, there are like about 20 events or something, you can finish it within a day.
They got quite impressive car list, despite the majority being JP cars. [sp]especially the jiotto caspita, 1st time i heard of that car[/sp]
[editline]15th February 2016[/editline]
Also, you have to win those events twice to unlock more until it says 'complete'
So, people like Horizon 2 better than 1, right? I played Horizon 1 when it was still kinda new and had fun but after I beat it, I felt there wasn't much to do... Is FH2 the same, or does it have a bit more sticking power? (Probably, since when I had FH1 I only had a month of Xbox Live)
Also, is Storm Valley or whatever the heck like FH1's Rally expansion?

Yes and kind of.
Horizon 2 is definitely an improvement over 1. It's basically the same game in essence, but the fact that you're not restricted to roads now is a game changer in making it actually feel like an open world. Weather doesn't do too much for grip but it's pretty and changes things up a bit. The "final race" you build up to in Horizon 1 actually happens twice in the second game so you can repeat the championships and do it again.
After you've finished the game I think you've only completed around 60 of the 140-ish championships, so there's definitely a shitload to do once you're done.
As for Storm Island, it's almost more like a Raid expansion than rally. There are a few nice rally cars that can be used (the Quattro gets its rally parts, you can get a Metro 6R4 etc), but the island is very hilly and jumpy, perfect for the Dodge truck and Bowler and so on. It's great fun and I definitely recommend the full package when it comes to the Horizon games.
Another Forza PC rumour but this time it's different, apparently:
http://m.windowscentral.com/forza-motorsport-6-and-gears-war-4-rumored-also-be-coming-windows-10?utm_source=wpc&utm_medium=twitter
People over on NeoGAF are saying that this "WPDang" source has been reliable before, so this might finally be one to watch.
EDIT: Oops, no merge.
I want to believe. Forza on PC would be amazing. Although, would this be one of those totally arbitrary Windows 10 exclusivity things like they did with Halo 2 years ago?

The rumour says it would likely be store exclusive, no word on Windows 10 exclusive (as 8 and 8.1 also have the store)
I made a couple of suggestions on the Codemasters Dirt Forums, go and give your votes if you have the time:

Horizon 2 should let you do the finale race more than twice, it's a really nice, long route and it lets you drive whatever you want, I stopped playing after I realised there wasn't a third finale
I bought FH2 (as if I need more video games to distract me)
Add RedStar93, I also made a FP crew/club/gang/whatever because I couldn't find one and I couldn't come up with anything else
Has anyone had any experience using the various converters you can get to make a g27 work on a 360? Some of them are pretty pricey and I'm questioning whether its worth spending up to £100 for the converter(my 360 cost £30)
I can't find the club, what's it called?
I think it's called "Facepunch Horizon" and the tag is "FPGT"
gotta love nascar one lap shootouts in iracing went from 10th to third because the leaders decided to kill each other, i probably shouldnt have played on a tuesday as i was .03 from licence qualification and i just lost .4 in one race
only reason im that bothered about getting an a license is this seasons b class nascar is almost entirely <1m tracks the a class has a better selection of long ovals i wanted access to a class just incase its the same next season, its extremely hard to go fast on the short ovals with the fixed setups

my goodness
not to mention you still get parts, that's not included in this crate, it's broken as hell
[editline]17th February 2016[/editline]
really need that shelby bad
Just bought Assetto Corsa, nice game, but I'm a bit disappointed with the sound effects after only playing Dirt Rally...
Oh man FH2 is fantastic. I've had more fun playing that than any other racing game yet. Haven't gotten to Forza 6 though. Are we due for a new Horizon this year?
I bought fh2 when I first bought my xbone almost two years ago and I still play it almost daily.
