I remember spending DAYS trying to unlock the Euro Classic LM and other special cars. Absolutely loved Revenge, I wish all the cars made it into Paradise.
too bad only prototype r205 gt made it to paradise, the rest are specials
both criterions and factory r should've been in paradise as dlc or something

0-60 in 2.2 seconds, with a top speed of 227 (but it can hit 233) mph, more horsepower than this chassis could ever handle, and an absolutely ridiculous speed retaining drift form. I have seriously only lost one race against players in this bad boy, and it's because I flew into a wall at full speed, though that might be because everyone on PS4 seems to blow ass. Performance upgrades are nuts. My fully upgraded Corvette can't match my Trueno.
I've done the same with a Trueno but compared to the E30, its impossible to control, its so light and even when setup for full drift it still has too much grip, I think half of the problem is the lack of downforce because I refuse to put one of the retarded spoilers on it.
The E30 is a cornering monster though for me, that thing will happily take corners at 80~100 and keep going afterwards, meanwhile the Trueno will proceed to slam its self into the wall.
[editline]4th May 2016[/editline]
Then there is that E36, we don't talk about that thing.
Its the E30 on roadroids.
did they turn off calls in custom events in dirt rally?
Loving most of Revenge's cars, especially this.

Should've appeared along with Carson Revenge
The aesthetic of Revenge is very pleasing to me. The best one of them all imo.

Never had a problem with too much grip, maybe it's just the way I initiate my drifts. Enough grip to exit the drift quickly if needed, but enough slide to maintain drifts for as long as there is road and at near full speed if it's a particularly long and shallow corner. Controlling it is easy after you get used to it.
I also haven't set mine to full drift. It's about 1/4 Drift bar. Full drift is basically asking for loss of ability to corner lol (also because I think it needs a spoiler to reach full drift, and I'm not adding one - which also means I'm never getting the trophy for setting it full drift/grip). I have my Sileighty set to near maximum drift (7/8 ticks I think?) though because it's a fucking brick. It works.
No matter what in NFS 2015 I always come back to the Hakosuka. I set it up for about half drift and it's perfect. Fully upgraded it may not be the best but I sure as hell have a lot of fun driving it. One thing it could use is down force since I too refuse to put a stupid looking spoiler on it. The Hako style spoiler should have been separate but idk.
Forza 6 Apex is "out" (it should be in 12 hour period)
Revenge was definitely the strongest of the series. I feel Paradise was a step in the worst direction possible for that franchise.
It was a good idea on paper and the game is definitely really good. The problem is that having it be entirely open world coupled with going "anywhere you want" in A-to-B races meant crashes and chaos were few and far in between. And crash time was replaced by the lackluster Showtime. What made Burnout great was the enclosed circuit tracks which meant everyone was locked together and chaos was among one another was rampent. Paradise killed that.
I also missed how Burnout usually had tracks set in one of 3 different locations across the world.
Even so the free roaming and the challenges were definitely a lot of fun. If they decided to make an open world game like NFS 2015 where you had a mix of /enclosed/ sprint and circuit races along with 3 different cities to explore it would the best Burnout game.
Really? I feel the exact opposite, I hated the "traffic check" rubbish that meant that basically you needn't worry about avoiding almost any traffic at all unlike all the previous Burnouts.
About Paradise, I agree that the events should be closed but that's only really a major problem in the races, not really in all the other modes like Road Rage. And Crash mode was really fucking awesome and would have been even more awesome with Paradise's more realistic crashes.
Despite that, Paradise is still the game I have put the most hours into in the series. I dunno which one I'd call my favorite game though, either Burnout 3 or maybe even good ol' Burnout 1. But I don't forgive Revenge for the Traffic Check thing, I really hated it. The only plus would be that it's satisfying to do a takedown by hurling a traffic car at an AI opponent.

It didn't help that there were only a handful of finish points, and almost always one path that was a significantly better option than the others, so while there were more roads than ever before, most of the time you only drove on a handful of them.
man i wish i could run burnout revenge at 16:9 without these graphical glitches
Is Forza Apex officially out yet? Doesn't seem to be downloadable yet.

"Later today", according to twitter

What about the Crashbreakers in Revenge? They're flaunting its capabilities outside Crash events encouraging you to use it, even there's a challenge for each track
Forza Apex is out guys.

The download is 18.8GB compressed for those who can't check. Required space is 30GB unpacked.
The squeaky hamster wheel that is the Windows Store server seems to have slowed down from all the traffic, good luck downloading for now :v:

The (probably only one) good part of living in a country so underwhelming these days, is that people aren't really in the know and the Portuguese server isn't that crowded. Downloading at full speed here.
Will let you guys know asap how the game handles on my hardware.
Downloading fine here, 2.5GB after around 5 minutes.
Ok so, first news isn't exactly great.
The game won't start on the last stablest Nvidia drivers for me. (361.43)
It'll give an error saying incompatible video drivers and shut down. Gonna update and see what happens.
I can't even start the download because of an error. Why is the windows store such a piece of shit.
Download is a bit faster now but it seems the progress bar has no idea what it's doing.

That amount of space left definitely can't represent just 1GB.
Ok, so updating my drivers seemed to fix it, although I can tell already the game really doesn't like Alt Tabbing. Crashed on me twice in the menus from it.
Also, on an AMD FX-8350, and a 770GTX with 8Gb ram, smooth sailling on high settings. Pretty much 60Fps throughout races.
Can confirm that the Ideal specs are spot on. The game is possibly the most optimised one I've ever seen.
With the exception of rain races (due to the spray particles) I can get a locked 60FPS at 4K, ultra, even 8xMSAA. It looks incredible, and all of the little details that were scaled down on Xbox, such as raindrops being 30FPS, are gone on PC. The reflections are also incredible, they look like they're fully native res, extremely sharp.
Best port I've seen in a very long time.
I literally just reformated and decided to opt with Windows 7, time to reformat again...

Never mind, I forgot you can upgrade from 7 to 10 for free
Video driver keeps crashing. Just crashed at the end of the night race with the GT cars. Ugh.
I'm also getting horrible stuttering at random on anything but low. It'll be fine for a race or two, then start freezing every few seconds. GTX 680 btw.

I'm sorta getting this too. Feels like micro stuttering at random times, annoying as fuck midcorner.
Game is optimised, this is probably Nvidia half assing their drivers once again.

Probably. I get around 30FPS on high settings but the stutter makes it unplayable.
Got Forza downloaded and running, it's really pretty even on medium settings.
Then again, the last Forza game I played was Forza Motorsport 4.
The stutters every few seconds is annoying though, wouldn't be surprised if my Graphics card doesn't have enough VRAM.
Theres no multiplayer, no livery editor, doesnt recognise a Dualshock 3 emulated as a 360 controller (though 360 controllers are supposedly supported alongside One controllers?) and also currently has xero support for racing wheels. Is there a point to releasing a game like Forza if you pretty much have zero support for anything other than keyboards?!
Also cant find a setting for turning off the horrific auto brake and steer crap, or is that only in the first race with the GT40? Certainly not feeling the game so far, though it is pretty, I'll give it that.
